Beautiful scissors in excellent condition. Available marks are interesting artist and residual signs on one blade! Scissors is heavy. Solid and very strong. Made of tempered steel repeatedly. Scissors cut paper without a problem. Scissors is homespun and was used by a master tailor for cutting thick woolen fabrics. Wonderful exhibit. Antique 19TH Century TAILOR SCISSORS /SHEARS 14" Possibly R. Heinisch Inventor
Up for auction is a pair of antique tailor shears/garment scissors. I can find no makers markings on these. But they have THE LOOK of R. Heinisch scissors. I did look at the bolt through a 10x jewelers loop. But still could find no markings. I did not clean the bolt area for fear of ruining the antiquity of this scissor. I was told these were from a Levi's plant here in New Mexico. But I have no proof of such. It is in good used condition. Nice patina, still shows some of the original paint on the handles. Antique 19th CENTURY Fine Detailed STEEL SCISSORS
For sale is an Old Antique 19th Century or older Finely Detailed STEEL SCISSORS. The scissors measure about 6 inches(15 cm) in length. The decoration appears to be Stamped and Engraved(see photos) The decoration is different on both sides of the scissors. They are unmarked. The Scissors work well. They cut paper quite well. Although they could probably use some sharpening. There is overall wear/ patination and some dirt in the grooves(see photos) I have not cleaned them. Otherwise. The Scissors are in Very Good Condition. Please View the Photos. This would be a great addition to a collection and I'm listing it with No Reserve- Good Luck!
