We are delighted to offer these ornate art nouveau scissors. These are marked as follows: Aug. Knecht Solingen with a symbol in the center. These are a fine German steel pair of scissors made circa 1890-1892. The scissors measure 9 13/16"n length. When in the case the total length is 11" The handles have ornate serpents on the tops and sides. The sheath is ornate cast brass with ancient gladiator type figures on each side and the face of a cherub below them. There is an ornate design of scrolls and what looks like some type of shield below the face. The end of the sheath has a pointed crown top. There is some nice age related surface wear and a nice patina to the metal on the scissors. The previous owner cleaned the sheath so it is shinier than the scissors. Antique Sterling Silver Sewing LOT Scissors Punch Two Thimbles Early Art Nouveau This is an excellent lot of antique sterling silver sewing tools and accessories. This lot includes a set of Scissors(sterling handle only) and punch with matching handles. And two thimbles. I am not sure of any of the makers or exact ages. The scissors have sterling handles. But one of the handles has a very small crack where it meets the scissor blades, and is loose. I do not see any more damage. The punch is in very good condition. The first thimble is stamped Sterling 10 Pat. May 31. 90(1890) It is in very good condition and there is a makers mark faded stamped on the inside of the thimble. The second thimble is stamped 9 and is also in very good condition. Though there is a small pin(or needle) hole at the top. The inside makers mark is also faded on this ... moreone as well. But both may be eligible to the experience eye in these sort of things. All of these pieces are absolutely beautiful. The total weight of JUST THE THIMBLES is 8grams. And the weight of the scissors and punch are 14.8 grams. These would make an excellent addition to any collection. The case is metal probably tin with a brass plating(the case is not brass a magnet sticks to it) There is a bone ring that is attached to the tape itself. The tape is marked London. The tape measure works on a spring mechanism. I pulled the tape out to 20" and it went back in fine. This auction is for an absolutely fabulous pair of antique sewing scissors. These would be from the late 1800's. When folded they collapse into a neat compact piece measuring 2 1/4 inches long. They open to full working scissors at almost 4 inches long. The handles are sterling. One side is marked sterling; the other has initials which are quite faded at this point. Silveroin was made by the Bristol Mfg. Co. in Massachusetts and was only manufactured from 1895-1915 which puts a clear date range on this piece. Antique Art Nouveau Flowers Embossed Sterling Silver Measuring Tape
This is a beautiful vintage estate find. It is most likely from the 1890's to the 1910's. It is a very Art Nouveau style sterling silver measuring tape. It measure 1.38" wide at the widest point. The detail on the front is of some art nouveau style flowers. The tape seems to have some trouble coming out.but the retracting button seems to work great. The total weight is 19 grams. Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Button Hook & Shoe Horn-- A & LL Beautiful!
You are viewing a beautiful set of art nouveau button hook and shoe horn. They are approximately 6.3/4" long. These pieces are decorated in the traditional nouveau style with graceful water Lillie's and bows. There are several marks on each piece. There is the full body lion indicating sterling. The letter"F" dating from 1867. Which is an import mark and the letters A& LL which is most likely the makers mark. Each piece is also marked on the steel portion"steel English make" Both pieces are in excellent condition. Please write with any questions.

Antique Darning Egg, Sterling Art Nouveau Handle, Unger Bros.?
This is an old fashioned darning egg with a matte black ball. The handle is sterling silver. It is hollow with an Art Nouveau Woman on each side and a tiny"Sterling" near the base of the handle on each side. It is 6& 5/8" long. It is heavy and so smooth that it almost makes me want to darn- just kidding! It is a lovely old piece of antique sewing gear. The pattern looks very much like the work done by Unger Brothers although I cannot find a maker's mark on the handle.

ANTIQUE GERMANY ART NOUVEAU PRERAPHAELITE LADY CELLULOID PORTRAIT TAPE MEASURE
This is a very lovely old late Victorian era marked Germany sewing tape measure with a Gypsy lady portrait print under celluloid done in the Pre-Raphaelite style. The celluloid top in in very good condition. It is 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" by 1/2" and has a button you push to retract the tape measure. It is in good working order. VERY SHARP vintage engraved Art Nouveau tailor scissors shears antique
I didn't find any information on these. The maker's mark is a male dog standing on its hind legs with a cane in its mouth. My guess is that they are German and were made between 1910 and 1930. Their Art Nouveau style is quite particular and includes patterns that look like petals. Leaves and grapes. I cleaned them, gave the blades a good sharpening and polished everything. They cut so well they can be used to cut hair, fabric, paper and even food! P.S. I'll always do my best to allow you to save on shipping. Beautiful Antique Art Nouveau Sterling & Bone Crochet Hook - Size H - I or J
EXCELLENT CONDITION- NO DAMAGE This crochet hook has a very attractive Art Nouveau sterling silver handle. The reverse side is exactly the same as the front side. There is no monogram. The handle has no maker's mark.it is simply marked"STERLING" Overall it is in excellent condition.no flaws that I can find. The overall length is 5" The sterling handle measures 2-1/4" long. The hook portion is definitely made of ox bone. It has a rich mellow color and a few dark striations that bone acquires after years of aging. It is hand carved. So there is no size marked on the hook, but when I compare it to some size marked crochet hooks, it is similar in size to those marked with either an H- I or J. This is a larger size hook and it would be suitable for crocheting medium weight yarn. The bone is smooth and has no roughness or ... moredamage. And it's shorter in length which makes it a very usable hook.just waiting for you to make that very special heirloom item.
