I have some ab fab/ retro items to clear from the 1950s. 60s, 70s and 80s, from family attics, cellars and cupboards, plus some antiques and even brand new items that have never been out of their wrappers/boxes. Here is a lovely old(but still usable) button hook with a fully hallmarked silver handle and Sheffield steel hook. It is fully hallmarked with the lion. Anchor and the letter X. Which I believe is Birmingham 1921. There are a few little pinprick dents. The pattern is all good. I don't accept returns on auction items. But please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. The hallmarks are rubbed but can be deciphered for Chester 1918. The maker’s mark is poor but the outline looks like it is that of James Deakin& Sons. This piece is in good condition with no dents or splits to the handle. Please be aware that it is 95 years old so there will be tiny surface abrasions and nicks caused through use. Sterling Silver Handled Repousse Antique Button Hook Hallmarked Date 1890-1910.
On offer is a lovely ornate Sterling Silver Button hook from Victorian England. It is hallmarked Sterling Silver from Birmingham and the Maker is marked as L& S. And the date is worn, so I cannot make it out.However; the Company was Levi and Salaman Birmingham, England that used that mark from 1890-1910, until Phineas Levi's demise. There are no holes and it is quite solid. It measures 2 7/8" and is finely decorated and hand crafted. No holes or damage.Both sides have been photographed in high definition and you can see it clearly. It is quite solid and lovely. A wonderful example of the era.
