Rarely were pillow cases used that did not bear the handiwork of the needleworker. Condition This bone-handled fid is in excellent working condition with a very sharp point. Ready to ply its trade at a moments notice! It does show obvious signs of age as it was no doubt used frequently by my grandmother and mother during their embroidering years. As you can see in the pictures. The punch is marked with gradations to help the needleworker keep track of how large or small she wants the punched holes to be. You can also note.
