This is an Antique Singer Sewing Machine Oil Can with Clip. These were typically found in Singer bent wood cases and some older electric cabinets. It measures 2" diameter and 3" tall. It has a good antique finish and is not dented. There are some very light scratches. The original cork seal is missing. But I found a new rubber O-ring for it! The bottom has faint surface rust around the lip. The paint on the clip has scratches and wear. It comes with both original mounting screws. RARE ANTIQUE FIGURAL, METAL GERMAN SEWING TAPE MEASURE BIRD KOOKABURRA
Great rare vintage figural sewing tape measure. This bird- Shaped holder looks like a kookaburra. It has a cloth tape measure with a round metal end that comes out from beneath the bird’s tail. The kookaburra has quite a lot of detail in his painted metal body. The piece has some paint loss(see our pictures. On the underneath part of the tail you can make out faintly“ Germany” embossed in the metal. He stand proudly at 2 ¾ inches tall and is about 3 ½ inches from beak to tail. This is an antique tape measure with a painted metal brown bear on top. The bear is well defined. Looking at the photos you see every unpainted surface. Exceptional Antique Gilt Metal Sewing Bird
A fabulous mid 19th Century English sewing bird. The finish is very attractive. Gilt over metal which I assume is iron. The sewing bird clamps on to a table and holds your fabric in place. With its two pincushions in excellent condition, there's no reason this couldn't be used. Or add it to your collection of sewing implements or English antiques. The overall height, with the clamp closed, is just over 4 1/2" There is some inevitable wear to the gilt, which overall is very good. Other than that, there is no damage. Everything I sell is guaranteed authentic and as represented.

Antique Egg Tape Measure in Orange Paint w Black Fly Early Painted Metal Version
Here we have a really wonderful early egg shaped sewing tape measure in dark orange to red paint with a black fly pull. We believe t his egg shaped tape measure is an early version as it is made of a steel or iron and has a painted surface. There is some paint chipping on this egg which is mostly contained to the top and there is a scuff with yellow remnants on the side. The pull on this piece is in the form of a fly that is most likely celluloid and it is accompanied by painted legs on the top of the egg. Attached to the black fly pull is a fabric or cloth measure which extends to 49" and it is in nice condition with light fraying on edges. This sewing tape measure has a very nice time aged dark orange surface and the fly is quite realistic. It measures 2 1/2" long. 1 3/4" deep, 2" tall with the fly pull and weighs 1.4 ... moreounces. Antique Wood Sock Darner With Original Metal Band This is a great antique darner in a mushroom shape with a metal band which can be used to hold a sock in place while darning. It is hardwood construction appears to maple. But cannot guarantee it. Measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter X 4 inches in length. The band is stamped PAT'D DEC 18, 1900. A nice sewing collectible. It has great patina and I love the scars that it shows from someone using it. As is the nature of vintage treasures this piece is neither perfect nor pristine. But shows subtle marks of time gone by which in no way compromises the soundness of the piece, but only adds to the beauty and the character. Great addition to any ones collection. The metal is soft. And I'm guessing that it's aluminum- it will not attract a magnet. It's 5 3/4 inches long, and the ball is about 1 inch in diameter in the middle. This is sturdy enough for rug hooking, but the hook size is very small for very fine crochet. the carving is a bit rough inside the ball, and the wood shows some darkening and wear on the top. It pulls and retracts quite smoothly, I opened it to 30" and then it became difficult to pull and I did not want to force it. Please note you must press the center button to both pull and retract the tape and that the very end of the tape has broken off 1/4" so take care when retracting not to let it go all the way in or you may have to fish it back out. This unique tool measures 2-inches in diameter fully collapsed and 5 1/4-inches in length fully opened. 2. This dainty. In excellent sharp working condition, silver metal swan embroidery scissors, measures 3-inches in length. The scissors are marked as follows: On the open tail side of the scissors: G[er]MAN[y] It looks like the"er" is completely worn off and that the"y" missed the edge of the scissor. On the open swan side, the mark reads: LLR&Co. There is clearly an"S. above ... morethe LLR&Co; however, I cannot make out the rest. 3. This beautiful. Collapsable, silver metal pocket buttonhook has no markings, except some pretty feather-like stenciling on one side. It measures 3 3/4-inches when fully open and 2-inches when collapsed.
