Wonderful Antique BLACK Americana, German FIGURAL celluloid sewing tape measure
Charming antique. Heavy celluloid, BLACK Americana. Figural head tape measure. Circa 1920, made in Germany. Measuring just under 2 inches(1 3/4" high she has chubby features including full cheeks. Small mouth, molded and painted eyebrows and cute intaglio, side-glancing eyes. She also has lots of dark brown, molded and painted curly hair peaking out from her wrapped and tied red bandana as wll as a striped red and white shirt collar. The tape measure is clearly stamped: Germany and works perfectly. She has no damages or cracks, no nicks or damages and no repairs. She'll make a great addition to any American a collection. For sale: Antique vintage Figural Celluloid Tape Measure molded Fruit Basket. The piece is small measuring just under 1 3/4 inches wide. The tape has some wear but still has the end ring. The cloth is worn and some numbers are hard to read. There is color fading and age wear. If you look close you can see a ling that goes all the way around the basket part. This looks like a crack. I don't believe it is. It is not cracked and you can not like put a finger nail into it. It's more tight and sealed. I think it was a mold flaw or maybe a seem where the tape went inside. Thanks. Meg

There is one tiny little crack by the opening of the tape measure. I have collected antiques for years but never seen these little tape measures before. He measures 3 inches tall.
