$164.90 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Weaverville, United States Nice Refinished Antique Dome Top Steamer Trunk With Two Working Locks and Key Here is the first double lock refinished dome top trunk that we have had ... morein a very long time. This trunk dates back to the late 1800's. Here are the dimensions: from left to right across the front is 36 1/2 inches. From floor to top is approximately 26 inches, and from front edge to back edge is 20 1/2 inches. This large dome top is made up of pine base wood, ash or oak outer slat boards, and the dome is made up of early ply. The wood has been finished with three coats of polyurethane. This one has a lot of distress marks which include areas on the wood that are darker in color, probably due to moisture in various places on this trunk. Also there are stress cracks running across the top wood that makes up the dome. There are typical nicks and dings in various places. This particular trunk was a little more weathered when we received it than most of the trunks we refinish. So we did make it as nice as we could, but do want to mention some of the characteristics. This one comes with the two factory original working locks. We have matched up a key that does work in each of the locks. You can lock your personal belongings away from others if you want to. The metal parts making up this trunk are not brass, so we have brush painted the metal by hand in black and gold leaf. The side handles have been replaced with Amish made black leather stitched straps and the handle caps have an embossed star on them. You could store a lot of belongings inside this trunk since it is pretty large. It may look nice at the foot of the bed in the bedroom or anywhere in your house where storage space is needed. If you are one who enjoys collecting rustic more primitive style antiques, then this one might be just the right one for you since it is more rustic than most trunks that we refinish. Going to the interior, it is just as weathered as the exterior. We have removed the paper lining which was totally worn out and the wood on the inside have areas of dark

Antique Steamer Trunk 1900-1950, Eagle lock no. 410
This trunk is unique from other Steamer Trunks of the era. At some point 1 inch caster wheels were added for ease of transporting 3 are steel wheels, 1 is wood. The covered insert tray is still with the trunk as well. It has some flaws, but who would not at its age. The lock is manufactured by the Eagle Lock co of Terryville, Conn. U.S.A. no. 410. That is printing in the lid saying water proof, and a note written in pencil on the back top of the storage tray not to sell this trunk. It is a very nice piece. With the wheels it might even make a great coffee table. The size is 34" L x 21w x 24 3/4h with the wheels. Questions please contact us.

I recently had an antique expert give me more information on this trunk. It is a original Eagle Lock trunk. Manufactured in Terryville CT around 1910-1920 May be earlier. I dont know if it had a key originally. But I do not have key. It is in over all good shape. For being over a 100years old! The middle lock doesn't close properly because the top of trunk is off level to match up with lock, so that it will close in place with lock. But both left and right latch locks do latch on properly to close trunk. Please see pictures for damage. It is approximately 21 in. Width and 12in. Height.

William Bal Luggage Antique Trunk with Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. Lock and Key
This trunk was manufactured by The"William Bal Co. in Newark NJ" and the plate on top of the trunk continues with"SPEC1198 Contract 6-23-16 Phila Depot" as you can see in the one picture. It has a Corbin Cabinet Lock from New Britain Conn. This trunk has been in the back of my garage for the last 50 years untouched. I would guess it is from the very early part of the century I did not try to clean it or restore it in any way because lots of people do not want that done so it is up to you. This is a nice old wardrobe steam trunk. There are no dents on any of the exterior metal straps. Brass, etc. Leather has some age cracks and is a beige color. The only interior concerns are that the laundry/wardrobe bag is missing, half of hinge on shoe box missing, some separation on lower drawer(just needs a staple or two, which I'd prefer to let buyer do, as I don't want to ruin any patina) Interior has some water damage a some small tears in fabric, but in really good shape for it's age, just needs a little clean up. Antique Wood Chest Small Trunk Fabric Covered Worcester Metal Goods Co. Lock Key
The box measures 15.5" x 8.5" x 7.5" and is in good condition for its age. I do not know the maker of the box but the hardware is made by Worcester Metal Goods Co. It is very sturdy and the hinges are holding up well. The fabric is very soft but I am not sure what material it is. It is tearing at some of the edges but is mostly intact. It looks like only one nail is missing and I think it just held the fabric in the corner in place. All of the rivets for the hardware are original and intact. The lock is a little tight but it works well and has the key. The inside feels similar to wallpaper and has some wear and discoloring but is in pretty good shape. Feel free to ask questions. This vintage trunk has been in storage for quite a few years. It's still functional with the lid still opening and closing. I'm not sure if the lock works.
