It has a hanger inside and looks like it's been used for travel before since the former owner's name is attached. The NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM tag shows an old railroad train traveling down the tracks& reads' The scenic water level route' while the name of former owner is written on the back. As you can see. There are also some cute treasures inside but no Shirley Temple or other Barbie type dolls. The two puppy dogs look very, very old& have tags that show they were made by LAMAR TOY CO. Thanks again!

Measuring thirteen and a quarter inches(13 ¼” in height. Eighteen and a quarter inches(18 ¼” in length, and eleven and a quarter inches(11 ¼” in width or depth(depending on how you view it) this rare vintage child’s steamer trunk displays an original black faux leather and metal exterior with thick straps complete with rows and rows of brass-colored studs(rivets) approximately 450 of them! Please Note: While all of the hardware appears to be made from brass. Including the studs, corners, hinges, lock, and handle plates, all of them stick to a magnet. VA” As you can see from the photographs attached above. The trunk’s interior has all of its original pink, green, and white floral fabric, all of which is in amazingly beautiful condition– no damage! In fact. The trunk itself is in amazingly nice condition. There are really only two(2) issues. The side handles for the trunk were made from strap leather. One of these leather handles is missing(on the trunk’s right side) The other leather handle, which is still present, is split in middle(on the trunk’s left side) Overall. This trunk is all original– untouched! While there are some general small scratches and minor loss to the black patina, as well as some very fine little white paint speckles on the top(these are very fine and not visually distracting) this trunk was well maintained and the little girl who owned it treated it with affection. I can remember as young girl, this trunk in my great grandmother's house with dolls' sitting inside it. The interior paper that it is lined with is adorable. I have taken an"up close' picture so you can truly appreciate the darling depictions. The trunk contains a removable shelf that is in very good shape. I have shown photos of the shelf both in the trunk and removed. The trunk itself is in normal. Aging condition- indicative of a piece this old. It is from the 1890's-1910's era. The flat top of the trunk has been"depressed" a bit on the top. it is not totally flat anymore, due to age- a bit concave as I tried to show in the photos. MINIATURE OR DOLL ANTIQUE DOME TOP WOOD TRUNK
Up for bid is a very nice antique miniature or doll size wood dome top trunk. Believed to be from the last turn of the century. This small wood trunk, is covered with a brown and black paper, wood slats, tin corners, tin hardware, cardboard trim and once upon a time, leather handles. The paper is missing or torn in some spots, as is some of the original cardboard trim, and the handles are missing. The inside is a whole different story, fashioned with wall to wall wallpaper, and a tray to boot. There is a cloth strap inside which once held the trunk top open, so that the top did not break the hinges, when let go of. The strap can easily be re-fastened to the inside lid. The inside contents as found appear to be doll clothes and blankets or quilted items, and your getting those as well. Priced high over the years, I probably only ever owned ... moremaybe a small handful of these in the last 40+ years of being in business of buying antiques. They are rare to find, especially in such nice condition as this. A great project piece, just waiting to be refinished and used to keep jewelry, make it into a humidor for your cigars, or give it to a small child who might want to use it for dolls or small collectibles. The trunk measures 16" in length x 10-1/2" high x 9-3/4" wide. Very nice vintage cream& red metal doll trunk I believe from the 1950's.The trunk is in very good used vtg condition and comes with a key.There are a very few light scratches and a tiny dent.All of the stickers are in good condition. The inside is also in very good used condition.Its a hard cardboard like material.The four drawers pull out nicely and each has a small piece of leather knob pulls.The top of the trunk has a heavy leather strap for carrying. All three locks work nicely.It is marked on the larger lock: Excelsior ~ Stamford.Conn" It also has the number stamped: 3720 on the bottom. There is one screw thats missing which should be an easy fix. Approx size: 20.5" tall and 10.5" wide.

Vintage Doll Clothes Chest/Trunk This doll clothes chest dates from around the 1920's to the 1940's. Inside of chest has a pull out rack to hang doll clothes on hangers. The outside has the initials"M.T.H. of previous owner. The trunk is very solid and sturdy made of wood or plywood and covered on the outside with a paper covering with an army green color. Protective trim around the outside frame and metal corners which makes it look like a military doll's foot locker. Trunk has a arch piece of white oak to protect the leather handle from damage. For your consideration is a small flat top miniature steamer salesman sample/doll trunk. This beautiful little trunk measures 9" x 5" X 5" It has been completely refinished to it's original look. This is a wood trunk with full metal covering. The trunk's exterior was cleaned. Painted and sealed. Hardware was cleaned and painted aged brass. It does not have a key. The interior was stripped of it's original paper then sanded. Stained and sealed. Added were new leather side handles, lithograph and new tray. Today's listing is for this lovely old Jenny Lind doll trunk from my personal trunk collection. I really don't know the exact age but would say late 1800's or early 1900's It is made of wood with metal strappings on cover with brass knobs. Has both leather handles. They may have been replaced at one time. But was this way when I purchased it. No restoration. Brass latch is not complete. No key. Inside has extra drawer that lifts out. Interior has staining and some tears. Great to display your antique doll or chinaheads with clothing. Excellent condition on exterior. Wear is to be expected on the inside because of it's age. Antique CHILD'S DOLL STEAMER TRUNK Metal Over Wood, 3 Wooden Drawers & Hangers
This is a wonderful antique streamer truck/chest for doll's clothes. A toy most girls had to have at the turn of the 20th century. I'm not sure how old the trunk is. It is made of thin metal over wood and the metal reacts to a magnet. The trunk has a center key lock(non working) and 2 metal clasp brass colored steel(magnetic) All 4 corners have the same brass colored metal with tacks. There is a black metal band along the center edge with grommets or tacks. A leather strap embossed with the number 22 allows for easy carrying by an adult as the trunk weighs 16 pounds when empty. The handle is sturdy but has light surface cracks. In its upright position. The trunk opens to a wooden interior with 3 stacked drawers and a side for hanging the clothes. It does come with the 7 original wooden hangers(one is missing from the picture) The ... moredrawers can be removed and are stack-able within the trunk space. Slight loss of the blue paint on the edges of the right side. The trunk measures 22" tall x 12" x 12" There is a blank metal tag on the top near the handle. It is gold lined with a velvety material but the ribbon is not attached but could be easily attached to keep the lid from going back too far. The latch on front of chest does need repair and there is one small crack on one of the top slats on top of chest. The slats are wood and the sides. The age of this chest is unknown but it is surely old. It shows quaint wear and tear for it's age. It measures 16" long. 10.5" tall and 9" wide. The handles are missing. Antique Vintage Wood Doll Handkerchief Glove Box Trunk Latch & Bentwood Handles
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for a primitive light wooden box or doll trunk measuring 12" wide. 6 1/4" deep and 5 1/2" high. I believe it to be a handmade doll trunk as I found a primitive"Mammy" rag doll and an old celluloid doll inside(sold separately) but it could have also been used as a glove or handkerchief box. The trunk consists of wood panels nailed together with three narrow slats attached on top and one on the front. The wood finish is richly aged but there are stains near the old nail heads- which only gives it more character. To each end there is a bentwood handle. These look like they were an afterthought to the original construction. The front has an old aged tin lever latch. When the lever is vertical the box is latched shut. When flipped to the left, the box latch is open. ... moreInside the cover is attached a paper picture of a Victorian dressed woman. The bottom of the trunk is papered but the paper is stained and torn. A strap of burlap to the left side is no longer attached to it's nail to hold the cover from flopping back. The only splits in the wood slats are two short edge splits on the bottom. Each is aprox. 2" long and does not affect the structural integrity of the box. We went on Google and found Mendel Drucker Doll Trunks like this. Information provided is that they were from the early 1900s and are quite rare. Size: 13 x 8 x 7 inches. It appears to be wood covered with a fabric designed paper. Inside is a different paper pattern. There is a light weight tray which seems to be cardboard covered with matching paper. There are wood strips on top and inside(holding up the tray) which are attached with metal fasteners. Condition: This old truck shows much wear. It opens and closes properly. Here is an adorable miniature steamer trunk from the Bassett company. It opens and closes with two working side latches and one center latch. Measures 10" long by 6" wide by 6.5" tall. Small Antique Dome Hunchback Wood Trunk Doll Child's 18 x 12 x 10.5 Inches VTG
This trunk is probably 100 years old. It looks a little redder in the photos than it really is. It still has a lot of the the original tin hardware and paper lining inside. It looks like there once was a tray that fit into the top. But it is missing. Also, the handles on each side are missing. In addition. There is a strip of wood trim on the front right that is missing(see 8 th photo) The trunk holds together nicely. The 7th photo shows where the boards do not completely meet on the bottom. This trunk could be beautifully restore(or used as is) It is a nice tabletop size that can work in many places. Unlike the large trunks. I'm happy to take more photos.

She received the trunk for Christmas on December 25, 1906. I researched the name and found that there are still Bullerdicks living in Brazil Indiana.too cool. Some of the repairs: Brittle paper was removed. Wood cleaned& sanded, joints glued, nails tightened, and screws replaced with nails. The wood was stained, sealed and waxed. Brittle leather handles were replaced. Leather finger pull added. The narrow black bands that were once decorative paper. Were replaced with painted cardboard bands that were attached with dozens of little clinching nails. The cardboard lid was painted to match the rest of the stained wood. Antique Disney Doll Trunk With Dwarf Dolls
This auction is for a wonderful antique Disney doll trunk with Bambi on the front and it comes with two very old rubber Dwarves inside. It measures 6.5" wide x 11 1/4" long and it is 5.5" tall. The basic box is made out of wood with some kind of a cardboard exterior and there is a wonderful Bambi decal on the top. This old doll trunk has the neatest Paper lining on the inside with Disney characters such as Donald Duck. Mickey Mouse, Pluto, etc. This lovely old Disney trunk has brown plastic handles on each end and it has marks, dings, dents, scratches, gouges, lots of wear, rust around the red metal corner pieces- it has a few ripples, it has a musty smell inside, etc. but even so it is a fantastic collectible doll trunk and it is a beautiful piece of the past as well. Vintage Doll Mendel Drucker Wardrobe Steamer Trunk W/Orig Drawers Beautiful
This is a gorgeous vintage Mendel Drucker doll steamer trunk. Like the label says they made them like they made the big versions for adults. Super high-quality. This truck is in fabulous shape for being approximately 70 years old, even all the hardware on the drawers is there and they fully work, NO DENTS INSIDE OR OUT. All hardware is there, even including the leather handle for carrying. I haven't seen one in this good shape for quite a while. This will be a great addition to your collection. Questions? Just ask. For you consideration a super nice little STEAMER TRUNK/ DOLL C HEST. Perfect for a small Girl's bedroom. This chest is metal clad on the lid and all sides. This chest was part of a museum display in Appleton. WI It has some light scratches. Staining, some of the brads are pulled out a little bit but it is still a solid sturdy very old chest. The cardboard drawers inside have pencil writing on each front. One says"Big Doll" the other says"Baby Dolls" Only one side has a handle. THE OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS ARE 9 1/4 INCHES TALL- 16 1/2 INCHES IN WIDTH AND 10 INCHES DEEP. Nice looking. Displays very well! Please see all pictures as they are part of the description. Vintage Small Steamer Trunk Tray Ladies Doll USA Industrial
For your consideration is this great vintage trunk. This little trunk is unusual because of its small size. Only measures 18" across x 11" high and 10" wide. The trunk is in great condition with beautiful patina on all the brass decorations. The inside is lines with its original floral lining and has its original tray. There are 2 small splits on the top front edge as shown in photos and no key for the lock. Unable to locate any manufacture marks but the lock does have the Corbin Cabinet Lock Co stamp.
