There is also a lovely floral design carved on the wood frame and legs of the stool. I am unsure of the actual age of the stool. It is about 10.5” tall, 27” long, and 13” wide. Chinese porcelain vase with snow scene landscape this is an extremely lovely vase. I am supposing when I state that it is Chinese. I tried to do some investigating. And only find similar items listed as Chinese. the vase is@ 9.25" tall. the landscape scene surrounds the entire vase, and the detail is extremely fine and raised in places. the only defect that I find, is that the bottom has been cut out. I would imagine this was done in order to convert it to a lamp? I can't think of another reason. so there is no signature or marking that I can find in the body of the vase. please check the photos carefully to see the real beauty in this"vase" I ship with USPS. Virginia at a bankruptcy auction for $500. Placed in charge of the small, corrugated iron building, his son Edward Hudson Lane decided to convert the facility in order to make cedar chests. The Lane family was unsure of what success they would have selling chests, so they originally named the company The Standard Red Cedar Chest Co. The firm manufactured and sold chests used to store linens and other items for setting up housekeeping, as well as keepsakes. Early production of about ten chests a day was sold through independent salesmen working on commission. In its early days. The business was run on a shoestring budget. A spectacular antique hand painted chinese trunk dating from the first quarter of the 20th century. Possibly earlier. Wooden construction with a canvas/vellum type material covering the entirety and stitched into place. Wonderful once vibrant palette. Now tastefully muted with the passage of time, depicting traditional scenes. All patterned surfaces are hand painted. With the traditional application of a raised, quasi three dimensional faces. As can been seen, some beautiful, time related distress to the paint work which gives the object a credible and appropriate look for its significant age. Beautiful Antique Trunk w/Key and Tray - Refinished
You are viewing an absolutely beautiful antique Steamer trunk. It has been artfully restored to bring out the wonderful woodgrain. The base is Cedar. Not sure what kind of wood the very top of trunk is. But it looks nice. The dimensions are L31" W20" and H22" It has a slight arch to the top. Probabaly won't work as a coffee table unless you put a piece of glass ontop. It comes with a pull out tray and lock with working key. It has 4 free rolling casters on the bottom to aid in moving. The trunk was treated with 3 coats of Polyurethane by Minwax to protect it for many more years. The tin was painted satin black by Rustoleum. All hardware was painted in metal flake gold. The handles are original, but held up very nicely. Christmas is coming upon us soon and this would make a great gift for someone. This trunk is certainly ... morenot brand new. So it does have its share of character flaws. There are dings, dents, cracks, holes and stains in the wood. There are dings and dents in the hardware and metal trim. Wonderful restoration project. In as found antique condition. These are very hard to find. The trunk measures 21 inches by 14 inches by 36 inches long. Both straps are in good condition. Has brass hardware. Both locks work but have no keys. I wonder what travels this old trunk has seen. It probably came across on an ocean liner back in the day. It has two old labels on it. One says Victoria British Transport, British Railways and the other says Southern Railway, London Via Dunkerque. Must have taken the railways and trains a lot too. This is a very Beautiful. Very well taken care of LANE cedar lined Mahogany Queen Anne chest. It has all the original papers still in the chest as it came from Lane. The color is more like the second picture of just the top. You will not find anything nicer than this on ebay or craigslist. The pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful antique cedar chest in very nice condition. Made by Caswell Runyan Cabinet Makers in Huntington. IN. Measures 45 inches wide by 19.5 inches tall and 19.5 inches deep. Detail includes carved feet(see pictures) Fairly lightweight and easy to move. Would make a great coffee table and/or storage that protects wool clothing and blankets from moisture and moths. All original hardware, but the key was lost long ago(which is safer anyway if you have kids. Only a few minor surface scratches typical of something its age, and one small chip on the front left edge, but none are obvious blemishes that would effect its value.

Antique Oak Ice Box, Beautiful and Unusual, Made in Wisconsin
This is a great old oak ice box that was made sometime around the turn of the century by Sanitary Refrigerator Co. In Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. I have had it in my living room for more than twenty years, and it really looks very nice. This is oak wood, built up in traditional practices, and there is no modern"wood" paneling made of chip board or anything like that. This is an antique, although originally a working ice box in thedays before mechanical refrigeration. The block of ice went into the top bin through the side loading door. I'd guess this was made between 1895 and 1910, perhaps. The wood is what I often see referred to as"honey oak" in color, a very warm medium oak color. What is great about this ice box is that, not only does it have all of the original nickeled hardware,it has a side-loading door for the ... moreblock of ice- this is not a top-loader. That means that this makes a very attractive piece of furniture which can be put in a living room, den, or kitchen and a lamp and other decorative items can be put on top. This ice box also has the original manufacturer's label.A metal plate. I have not touched the galvanized interior. The interior is as I found it; there is a piece of plywood laid into the bottom compartment(not attached) and there is some shelf paper applied inside. The galvanizing all looks to be in good condition. I have owned this for more than thirty years and paid a very hefty price for it when I bought it given the very unusual character. Beautiful Antique Suitcase w/ Antique travel stickers 1930's-40's
I'm not a pro. But my guess is that this beautiful suitcase is from the 1930's-40's. It's not in perfect condition, as it was found deep within my late Grandfather's garage. There was nothing in it besides a few cobwebs(which I gently removed) and a single button. The button is still in the case. I believe there quite the story behind this suitcase, hence the stickers on it, and it's age. Its got that Antique smell and perfect patina. Any questions, feel free to ask. This is a really well-kept ANTIQUE WHEARY CUSHION TOP WARDROBE STEAMER TRUNK from the very early 1920's. This gorgeous piece of travel luggage has a nice tough outer hide. And the inner suitcase matches inside and out with a pleasant blue felt and fabric. The 4 drawers are clean to use and are in excellent working order, and the steel bar locks them closed for traveling. This beautiful steamer trunk comes with: Multiple hardwood hangers. Pants hangers and tie rack; A Stainless Steel inner bar holds all hanging clothes in; An inner dust cover to protect clothing from sun light and dirt; Four(4) drawers with Stainless Steel outer locking bar; A spare valise for your important files and papers; M easures 42" x 22.5" x 24" when closed; or, M easures 42" x 22.5" x 48" when opened; Weight(empty) is approximately ... more90 Lbs. There are few rips. Tears or missing fabric- what is missing is very small- and there is very little fading. Looks just as they do in the recent pictures) The wonderful Wheary"W's" on all the drawer fronts are in GREAT condition, and it still is fully functional- all clasps, buckles and locks work. The outside shows few dents or scratches, the leather handle is intact, and has no missing pieces of trim what so ever. This wonderful piece of American history comes well traveled. But taken well care of, and it hails back to the past era of boat and train travel of the 1920's. Shipping is going to be expensive- unless you live in or near Portland. Oregon(I can arrange for local shipping in Oregon& Washington) and has been quoted around $200.00. I would not use outside packaging(unless requested; additional charge for large box and handling) as it will probably ship on its own without much harm.

Fabulous antique vintage bamboo handmade chest with beautiful high quality well appointed fittings. This is truly an impressive very well made chest to store valuables. Jewelry, collectibles or other objects of virtu or just display as a conversation piece. Measures 10 inches wide X 6 inches high X 6 inches deep. The workmanship is just amazing and shows that it was created by a master craftsman. It has an antiqued closure at the front and two carrying handles at either end. It is unlikely that you will ever see another one like it.

The inside acrylic drawer pulls have a great deco look.The lockable(with key) 5 drawers are clean and are in excellent working order and have the tie down straps and quilted padding in all drawers. There are few scratches/dings from age/use. The outer Wheary metal script badge is present but bent- and there is very little fading to the interior fabric. A very large wardrobe trunk made over 100 years ago by Henry Likly of Rochester. N.Y. established 1844. Extremely well made and in virtually perfect condition. It is fitted with a fully equipped interior and oak slats and ball castors on the exterior. This fine heavy trunk is complete and fully functional. It is signed with a brass plaque outside and a paper label inside. It is ink stamped Patented December 12. 1911. It comes with the original key.
