I sold a beautiful Camphor wood chest to a museum a few months ago. The camphor wood chests have a distinct odor. However. Since this one has been painted, the odor has been masked. It does have a hint of the smell though. But. I am not sure. The actual dimensions are: 21" wide x 12.5" deep x 11 high. This has been painted. It's scratched up and has drink rings. My father had a hardware store from 1946 to 1983. When he closed it. He brought the merchandise to his house where it has been since. He recently passed away and it is now my task to sell this merchandise. For sale is 1 pair brass plated steel steamer trunk handles. The finish is in good condition. There is some slight tarnish on some areas. These could also be used as drawer pulls. The handles are 3-1/2" wide with 2-1/4" spacing between holes. Small vintage Suitcase Style Trunk. Very old. Shows lots of wear but still solid. Has a military look to it Suitcase- Briefcase size. Measures approx. 16" wide. By 10-1/2" tall by 5-1/2" deep. Has metal corners. Looks to be brass latches and lock, not 100% sure what the sides are made of, but looks to be a masonite type material. Handle is leather. Latches. Lock and hinges all work fine, lid opens and closes perfectly. Can't find any makers name, lock reads Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn. Neat old trunk/suitcase. Large vintage 1940's stripped tweed suite case, luggage 28 x 16 x 8 1/2
Suite case is in good condition. It has some normal scrapes and scuffs. The worst one is on the bottom next to the feet. The locks work fine and the inside is in good condition. It does have a slight odor inside. The leather handle has some wear.

Vintage Flat top Steamer Trunk 20043.1
Item 20043 is a vintage flat top steamer trunk. The outside of this trunk is a raised floral patterned tin background. It has new leather handles. This is a very nice trunk. One of the latches on the front is missing the top piece. I tried to find one to match on e-bay, but was not able to. The trunk measures 32" x 19.5" x 23" It is very unusual with two compartments in the top and a shelf in the bottom. The inside has been lined with quilt batting and a red toile patterned fabric. The freight on this trunk is a little bit more than usual because the sides of the trunk are 1" wood and the compartments make it weigh more, then there is the fact that UPS charges extra for the large over size box.
