This is a lovely vintage oak chest of drawers which I believe is a machinist or tool chest. No veneer. All wood. Even the drawer bottoms are wood not pressboard. It's very solid. No looseness in the joints. I'm unsure of the age. But I'm guessing the 50's. The drawers have been lined with yellow contact paper which is brittle. I'd replace it all with felt. The lightly padded silk lining is handpainted with Daisies with a corded trim surround in light blue and ivory. The silk that surrounds the flowers is a gathered ivory. The interior is a gathered pale blue silk lining The recessed handles on the chest are nickel plated brass. The woods of the box are fabulous- Mahogany and Burl. There are two pull out drawers. I don't know what these were previously lined with. They are currently lined with burgandy loose velvet pieces. The box- chest has a key which(when closed) can be locked. The lock does work. C196) Diminutive Mahogany Chest of Drawers, some damage, toy? jewelry box?
C196) Small Mahogany Chest of Drawers. One Drawer Corner Gone and Bottom Missing Inside Brace Needs Re-gluing This unusual chest measures 11 ½ wide by 6 7/8” tall by 6” deep. It appears to have its original brass pulls and feet. It has lost the both upper corner of one of the top drawers as well as having a chip on the other drawer. Its bottom is missing so the secret compartment cannot be used correctly. The inside of the chest looks new. Especially the pine. It appears to have its original high gloss finish. Much of its earliest construction was glued together. The supports for the top two drawers are loose, but rather than repairing them we are leaving that for the new owner. This appears to have been off at one point and then crudely tacked back on. The carelessness of a previous owner shows near the front corner where two tacks ... morewere just bent over rather than put in(I suppose these will be easier to remove than the others) ~ ~ ~ We charge actual shipping costs only. Antique furniture minature dresser/jewelry box
It's an Italian early 20th century chest. With 3 drawers and many different designs. It's gold and turquoise for the majority of it but there are 3 very minor issues. Two of them being two small whit spots on top thay could be easily fixed and the knob on the top shelf has turned white on the knob and the only knob that has any issues. Beautiful piece and I've seen them go from 500 to 9,000 so thi should be interesting. Any questions just ask and the reserve won't be very high for this item

Made in France” on the bottom and boasts hand dovetails, matched European walnut veneers and delicate, finely detailed ormolu mounts with fitted natural travertine top. It measures only 10” tall x 11 5/8” x 6” deep and has bombe face and sides. You will note a chip/loss of veneer upper left under the overhang of the marble and losses on the back legs. Vintage Japanese Sewing Kit From The Early 1900s Or Jewelry Box
This vintage Japanese sewing chest has an extremely good look to it. It can be hung on the wall or set up on a desktop. On the inside are posts for sewing thread and a place to put sewing needles. There are pockets for ribbon and thimbles. It is very interesting and I have not seen one like it before. It has some damage to the front right top corner and the bottom right corner of the piece. But it is not as noticeable as you would think.
