Offered is this attractive vintage Queen Anne style"Cavalier" cedar chest. Built by the Tennessee Furniture Company in Chattanooga. Tennessee. The Tennessee Furniture Company was founded in 1865 but didn't begin using the"Cavalier" trademark until 1923. I believe the company went out of business in the late 1950s-early 1960s. But there are some problems with the veneered exterior: The"foot" of one ... moreof the front legs is damaged. Both ends of the fan emblem are missing. One of the very thin pieces of molding that outline the"drawers" is missing(bottom of top"drawer" The top has a good deal of scratches. Scrapes, etc. Scratch Cover has made it look better. But you might want to consider refinishing the top unless you plan to cover it with something. The front and sides are in much better shape. The original key is included. But I could not get the lock to work. Maybe you can. The lid latch works fine. However. I have this listed as"pickup only" because of what would probably be a very high shipping cost. However.
