This is an antique baby quilt with a sort of 8 point star design. It is 29" by 38" and is string tied. Because it is string tied rather than quilted to the back it is lumpy and a little out of shape. Other than that it is in pretty good condition with one small 1" open seam. It has not been cleaned and has general soiling and a light stain. Here is a colorful old metal steamer trunk for a child. The antique measures approx 19" x 10" x 10" The doll chest has tremendous character. And is painted red& blue. It has a hanger inside and looks like it's been used for travel before since the former owner's name is attached. The NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM tag shows an old railroad train traveling down the tracks& reads' The scenic water level route' while the name of former owner is written on the back. As you can see. A rare and wonderful vintage child's rocker.called a"teeter tot" Patent Des. 171458. Mfg. by the Delphos Bending Co. Delphos Ohio. The Rocker has its' original orange and white paint, with a duck motif, and the manufacturer's info. It shows some wear as expected with a vintage piece, and as noted in the photos, but no loss to advertising. The rockers have in olace 4 eye hooks, of which we are unsure of their function.Perhaps they were added to use as a swing. And the dowel across the top is inpainted, and may well be a replacement piece. Could easily be painted to blend in. And the most awesome and unique part of this piece is its' rare music box that is present and in working order! When the child rocks. This piece is really something to see! Salesman Sample Vanity Dresser with 3 Drawers I am unsure of the origin/maker; it is marked with a"KL" or"V" I can't quite tell) with the number 45 underneath. It appears to be skillfully crafted by hand. I am unaware if the red paint was original or added at a later date. The entire sample is constructed out of wood. Even the small knobs, and the mirror has signs of aging from it's time period. The style almost looks oriental. But either way it is very beautiful! The little teapot was originally part of a complete miniature tea set. The round melon shaped covered pitcher stands about 5 1/2" with a fancy finial and molded applied handle and scalloped rims. It was made by Charles Allerton& Sons. A pottery manufacturer in the Staffordshire region of England who was well known for his whimsical childrens tea sets. It is marked C A& Sons and the pattern name is MAY 753. The influence of the Aesthetic movement on the pattern designs captures the Victorian love of nature and the exotic. The color is rich cherry red or dark English pink. The pot depicts Little May or Mae ... morestanding on a country road carrying an apronful of eggs. She is wearing a hat and one of her socks is falling down. Her farm house can be seen in the background. She is surrounded with an aesthetic background of flowers. Birds and lots of geometrical whimsies and fruit along the rim. The image repeats on each side of the teapot base. The piece is in very good condition. With wear on the rim, shallow chipping on the underside of the spout, and no other chips cracks or repairs. Fine overall glaze crazing consistent with age and prior use. Intentionally crude in manufacture, it has minor transfer smudges kiln fleck an underglaze impression and other imperfections original to the making and typical of these primitive early wares. Not fine china and not intended to be. It was made to be played with by children and was considered disposable. The pieces are perfect miniature replicas of an adult-sized tea service made in similar transferware patterns. The oval serving pieces have moulded handles and finials. Up for bid is a lovely rare in this size childs baby chest used to store their dolls and clothing etc. This is hand made just like the large style used by adults. It is in its original condition including a victorian postcard decoration in the cover portion of the trunk. The leather straps are present and in tact-the only think I can see is that the top half of the right hand closure is missing. Please see the pictures. The set is transfer printed in deep marine blue against a creamy earthenware background, imaginatively decorated with whimsical and winsome images of a pair os chickadees or titmouse or other songbirds chasing a butterfly or insect. The pattern name is"MESANGE" The French word for Titmouse or generically Bird. The illustrations may have been the creative work of an early botanical naturalist engraver. Circa 1850. Originally part of a complete miniature childrens dinner service or antique dollhouse accessory, the two smaller dishes measure 3 1/8" in diameter; the third larger plate measures 3 7/8” in diameter. The set is transfer printed in a rich and earthy forest green with pearlware glaze and a hand cut rippled rim. The doll dishes are decorated in the scarce FISHERS pattern. Depicting a boy and girl sitting by the side of a river with their fishing poles and bait, cows grazing near a bridge in the distance. The inside of the rim is embellished with a chain of circles and a stylized fleur de lis. The plates are marked with the pattern name ... moreand the initials of the maker. RARE Adorable Vintage 5 inch cowboy doll lamp complete with hard to find attached gun. Yehaw! Great for kids room or western theme room! Works fine! Bright red metal backing is 7 inches high and 4-7/8 inches wide. Red metal arm extends from wall 6-1/2 inches deep and light fixture adds 1/2 inch to depth. Very little wear to metal paint. Cowboy doll face in very good condition with painted on brown eyes. Eyelashes, eyebrows and light pink lips. Green felt hat has no damage, just some age fading. Cowboy body has a couple of issues: right arm is out of socket(easy fix) and left arm is missing, though the left shirt sleeve is there so not very noticeable that left arm is missing. The top section measures 1 7/8” deep shelves were for displaying teacups& plates. You can see in our photographs that the dovetailed drawers of this cupboard sit a little off, because 3 of the original drawer slids are missing. Two of these slides were found on the inside. There also is a small piece of molding missing from the top left end. Constructed from oak this hutch retains the original finish with the inside painted green. There are a few shrinkage lines and some chips to the edges& corners, but overall this doll's cupboard is in very good, all original condition! Here is a Wonderful Red Lake Indian Reservation Doll Papoose Cradle Board. It is Beaded and the beading is done on what I believe to be Trade Cloth. I also Believe this to be from the 1930s.
