Vintage WWII Shipping Container with painted legs
This is a reclaimed military shipping container that I propped up on wooden legs and painted to mirror the worn look of the box. The piece has been thoroughly cleaned. The box has been lightly reinforced to not split the wood. The box itself has been waxed inside and out with two separated waxes to insure no further wear and tear. Cleanliness of the box and to make it easy to clean in for years to come. This piece will provide a ton of extra storage as well add panache to any room. It is my understanding that this was a shipping container from WWII. I have no documentation of that, but is a great conversation piece! This is a very nice vintage humpback trunk with hand painted flowers and artist signature. I am not sure of age of trunk but flowers with artist signature is dated 1978. Vintage Wooden Trunk With Black Painted Metal Outer Shell
For sale is this Gorgeous Vintage Wooden Trunk Covered in a Metal Outer Shell. The outer shell is painted black. The trunk body is in very good condition. The bottom is not rusted and all of the wooden parts of the bottom are attached. There are only a few notable cosmetic issues. The paper on the inside of the trunk has some damage to it(there is staining and some tears) It is also missing the handles on the sides. I dont have the key for the front lock and neither did the previous owner. I assume that is the reason for the detached bottom plate of the lock from the trunk's body. The plate is present and the lock is fully assembled and in good cosmetic condition. If you're looking to use this piece decoratively. The key doesn't matter much anyway. Antique 1900 to 1920 Embossed Leather Hand Painted Train Suit Case Brown Leather with Brown Leather Handle. All hinges. Lock, rivets and all other hardware appear to be original. Interior is covered with a flowered canvas type material. Elastic on the pouch is in good condition. Label inside reads"Warranteed Waterproof Lining" All mechanics work great. Woman in picture appears to be under an Umbrella reading. In the forefront of the picture on the case. There is a Train Case Embossed with a scene of a woman at the beach. Clothing and hair appear period correct. Case measures 11" across X 10" high X 4 3/4" Deep. Case shows wear from 100 years of use and sitting around. But it survived in Very Good Condition.
