This old machinists or dental box was a recent estate purchase. It was found in central Illinois on a farm that was having a sale. I was told that it belonged to a cash register repair man.cool. I thought it was a medical case and hoped it was full when I picked it up.sadly I was told it only had springs and gears in it at one time. This item is 14" by 10" by 8" deep. It is leather wrapped with metal corner guards. The leather is nice with normal signs of use here and there.nothing major. The lock does not work and that area shows signs of being pried open. I do not see any cracks or hindering damage. There are 6 drawers with galvanized metal bottoms. Some still have felt. Each drawer is numbered. The design depicts women and men harvesting crops. Interiors and edges of the chest are painted black. The lid opens to reveal a compartment measuring 8 7/8 inches long by 5 1/4 inches wide. By 3/4 inch deep. It has a metal latch on a hinge to secure it. Three drawers open at the front of the chest. Each has a curved metal handle. the drawers measure 2 5/16 inches by 4 1/4 inches. By 1 1/4 inch deep. Although new. This chest has several slight scratches on the underside. The right front corner of the lid has been bumped and is very slightly misshapen.

Stately Mahogany chest with five drawers and one door. Featuring a lovely serpentine top. The three bottom drawers are all nice and deep, and feature rounded peg and hole dovetail joints. There are keyholes on each, though two are missing the hardware, and one is missing the lock. The two drawers on the top are smaller, and they are complimented by a swinging door which opens to allow for additional storage. The more recent finish is in very good to excellent condition. The chest has straight rectangular legs and a lightly carved decorative apron. It is a gorgeous. Simple geometric piece, with an outstanding finish. Up for sale is a beautiful wooden made Jewelry Armoire chest box with 5 drawers and see through glass doors a mirror in the revolving musical carousel. This measures at 18" tall x 12 3/4" wide x 6 1/4" depth and weighs around 10 1/4 lbs. The left side opening door has a revolving musical necklace carousel and mirror back ground. To start the revolving musical carousel just at the center of the carousel is winder turn to the right 5 or 6 times like any other wind up music box. Unfortunately I am unable to name the song that is playing. I have heard before but mind is a blank about the the song. The right side has 5 drawers and all are lined with medium yellow colored felt material. The top drawer is a ring or earring compartment, all the drawers are the same size so you could move the ring drawer to your desired location. The ... moredrawer sizes are 4 3/4" wide X 3 3/4" back X 2 1/2" deep. There is lots of storage area for your jewelry. I am not sure what type of wood this is constructed of but judging by the weight it is possibly oak, and I believe the drawer and door pulls and the hinges are bronze and the carousel brass. This item is in very good condition with the exception of a few light surface scratches scratches on each of the side and the top area. I did notice some kind of discoloration mark on the left side( see photos) and all drawers and the doors opens and closes properly with no rubbing or alignment issues. Old Antique Odd Narrow Chest of 5 Drawers, Beaded Pine, Distressed Primitive
Here's an interesting old or antique piece of furniture we received recently with some estate items. This one is a bench made or homemade piece we're guessing is from the 1890's to 1920's. This is a very narrow 5 drawer chest of drawers. It is aged and distressed in appearance and in more recent years has been used to store stuff in a homeowner's workshop. It has a faded green color with a marked and paint spotted top as shown. Whoever made this had some skill with wood and the joints of the drawers and the tongue and groove joints on the boards on the back. And how the drawer bottoms were added show this knowledge being used when this was made. The sides are beaded pine panels. The wood knobs on the front are all different colors and note that at the bottom there were once two knobs or a handle used where there are two ... moredrill holes and one knob looks off center in it's hole. For those who enjoy the look of antique, aged and distressed furniture this may be appealing. To those who look for furniture to refinish, paint cottage white, or otherwise recycle this one should look good when completed also. So perhaps some good decor possibilities with a practical use value as well. This piece seems to be structurally sound with some nice trim detailing though still simple or primitive in appearance. Being narrow it may have some good potential for use in hard to decorate areas of the home. This tall chest of drawers is about 18 inches wide, 21.25 deep, and 40.25 inches tall. That's about it. It is marked Std No 136 on the inside bottom of the case and 136 is noted on the back of each drawer. I would guess that it is a Union Tool Chest piece from LeRoy or Rochester. NY, but may also be a Gerstner(they typically put their name on the lock) or someone else's. You do not see them in this small a size or in such great condition very often. The metal pieces that attach the handle to the case are securely in place. Each of the 5 drawers have the metal pulls securely in place. The bottoms of all the drawers are galvanized metal.
