Both boxes are Helin Tackle Co of Canada. Windsor Ontario. The large box has the paper work still inside box. Overall both are extremely nice combos and would be basically impossible to upgrade. Stunning vintage 1870's steamer trunk. Little different to the normal ones from this era. Quite a topic of conversation with visitors this one. The large impressive chest comes metal upright banding. Horizontal hard wooden banding held with large brass studs. Replacment top clamps added these were missing. Brass lock and Hasp. Shellac with Bri Wax polish finish. Two working side catches. Restored 1940's Italian Chest Offered here is a very inlaid Italian style chest. We believe it to be from the 1940's. Give or take a decade. It has been restored and is in excellent condition as you can see from the many photos. Not one but two keys are included with this piece. The drawers on this piece glide very easily. Much of this piece has a very desirable'crackle' or crazed finish that can only be obtained from age. The photos did not show this. However you should be aware that this piece has a beautiful aged look. The top is in great shape with only a couple small imperfections that are not easily seen without getting very close to the piece. This chest really shows nicely. Although this piece is quite old and Non-Restored it is still quite charming to behold. The inside is quite lovely. The trunk could be easily restored to it's former glory. Original U. S. Trunk Company Vintage Antique Flat Trunk 35" X 20" X 13"
Vintage Trunk U. S. Trunk Company 35" X 20" X 13" This is a trunk that has been around a while. It has issues. The inside looks better than the outside. I did not find a key. The first wooden hanger that shows in the picture has a broken end. The end still reaches past the bar. But the bottom of the right hand side is broken off. On one of the other hangers the laminations are coming apart. There are two compartments opposite the hangers portion. The top compartment is on hinges. And the bottom compartment can be taken completely out of the trunk. Those two compartment are in reasonably good shape. There is a compartment than can be covered with a piece of cloth at the bottom on the hanger side. That compartment is in poor shape. You can see the splits in the finish on the outside of the trunk. It needs to be refinished. All ... morethe hasps seem to work. I didn't try to do anything with the lock since there is no key. If you live close enough to Tower. MN to pick this up it would simplify shipping. If you don't I will be happy to wrap this in cardboard and tape and bring it to the UPS store in Virginia, MN 55792. The package will be about 36" X 21" X 14" and it will weigh about 40 pounds. I generally ship things within one working day of when a person pays for them, but that won't be the case with this. The UPS store is about 30 miles from my home and it is only open for a few hours each afternoon. I go there most week days, but I'm not always there when the UPS store is open. I am listing this as a local pick up only. But I will ship it. When I have shipped larger items via UPS before the buyers have mailed a shipping label to me that they had already paid for. We have for sale a Vintage Antique Mendel Drucker Trunx Victorian Travel/Steamer Trunk Cincinnati No. 184293. This trunk is beautiful. It was purchased at an estate sale. It measures 41-1/2 inches in height or length. 22-1/2 by 22-1/2 inches in width and depth. It is totally original. It is a light beige colored tweed, with a dark brown leather trim throughout. Inside(left side) there are 4 drawers with beautiful pull handles. On the opposite side is set up for your clothing with wooden hangers. It has the original curtain, clothes bag, and another small compartment in the bottom closed off by another curtain. As you can see from the many photos that I took this trunk is in beautiful condition. There are some scratches and rubs but nothing is broken, or torn. All the hinges work great. There are also pieces of tape on the inside lid. There is some age related wear& scratches. It used as luggage on cruises& hotels& has some staining inside. It does have the tray. 3. The largest& newest of the three. It also has EPW handpainted on each end. The serial# is 907716. The handle has some wear. But the trunk itself has very little. The inside has little or no wear at all. Looks new. I checked at the LV store in Atlanta& found the same size bag listed for over $7.800.00. Not sure of the age maybe the 70's or 80's. You will find this to be a beautiful piece. The condition is a bit rough but as expected for an item that has been used extensively. Imagine this being loaded onto a train car in the early 1900's or a Cruise Ship in the 1950s. I consider it to be in working condition though since the hinges and latches still work. However the key is missing. Some of the leather straps are missing as well but can be replaced for a reasonable price. This would be perfect for use in your entryway. Antique Shwayder Bros. Samson Steamer Trunk with it's original inside tray. This trunk is estimated to be from the 1930's and is in very. Very good condition. Shwayder Trunk Co. originated in 1910 and the name was changed to Shwayder Bros. Inc. Samson in 1939. In 1965 the named changed to Samsonite. The trunk has it's original tray and they are both lined in it's original patterned paper. These trunks are hard to find with their original trays and also it has old newspaper from 1957 laying flat inside both the tray and the trunk; the paper all completely in tact with no tears and really neat old adds with the current news. A little extra for the trunks history. The tray does need a small repair on the front bottom where it has become separated in the center. I did get a picture of it and it is probably very easy to repair. ... moreIt has two old decals on each sie on the top that might have been added to it through the years or maybe they are original and also'460S' is printed on the bottom left. It's like it was hardle ever picked up much with them and they are indeed original. The front handle is a heavy type of metal I think and is all in tact. Vintage Antique Louis Vuitton Trunk 1910 Calfskin Special Order Leather France
Very nice. Solid Louis Vuitton calfskin trunk dating from between 1909 and 1915. Excellent patina to the leather, with no major spots- just an overall golden honey aging. It was found in a well-kept old barn, and all I've done is dust it off- I'll let you condition and polish it how you see fit. The trunk is an elegant size measuring 25" wide, 11"high, and 13" deep. The brass hardware is in excellent condition. The lock inscribed'BTE S.G.D.G. PATENT, LOUIS VUITTON, 1. RUE SCRIBE PARIS, LONDON 149. NEW BOND STREET, MADE IN FRANCE' and numbered 028224. Louis Vuitton is stamped on the larger bolts and LV on the two outer latches. The beautiful label has the first 4 shops' addresses, dating it to post-Lille(1909) and pre-Champs-Elysees(1915) The two sides are embossed with the owner's letters"McL" ... moreThe calfskin trunks are rare because they were more expensive, and all special orders, meaning they didn't make them and have them hanging around the shop- they were custom made, so the initials were embossed on the leather before it was made, as it would be impossible after, unlike painted initials. The interior is lined with ivory linen, with fittings for one removable tray. Interior stamped with number 168673. There are overall scrapes, and chipping to the top edges, where some leather has worn away. The handle looks to be not original- my guess is the original one wore off and this one fit, so it was strapped on. This was likely a very prized trunk from the early days of the golden age of travel. Perfect for the discerning decorator. Very solid and the lid operates smoothly, and there are no problems with hardware- although I've never fully pressed in the center lock clasp for fear it would stay locked. There is one snap closer Broke on right side. The Box that sits on top top is in good shape except has cracks in the paper liner and one stain. I bought this from a very old Pennsylvania womans estate auction and I was told it is a 1940s Antique Vintage Sewing bucket. Basket, caddy on three removable spindle legs(they unscrew) It is made entirely of wood and the body seems to be a thick wood slat firkin bucket upside down with a sewing accessory shelf inside. The bands or straps are wood. It stands about 21 inches high and the bucket has a diameter of about 10.5 inches. It weighs about 7 pounds. It is in super condition for an item that is nearly 100 years old. There is a crack in one wood strap but it is solid, not loose at all(see pictures) Please buy condition from the pictures, this is very old with wear. Thanks.

For your consideration is an Antique Aviator by Wheary Suitcase from the 1930s with initials! The suitcase is a nice old find. I cant find another like it. From a little research I've found that this brand is from the early 1930s. The case is in great shape for its age. The handle is in tact but only one lock fastens completelty(Original Key Included but does not seem to function) The bottom four corners are covered by thick leather. Normal wear for its age.
