This is a vintage piece of luggage that is in used but good condition. It is an extremely rare find and rarer to find in this condition and with key. It is blue slim steamer trunk with blue leather trim and leather handles. The trunk opens up and locks in place to allow for clothes to hang from the hangers. The bottom area has dividers and ribbon ties to secure your items. Both sections have a cloth cover. The bottom has snaps to secure it to the bottom of one of the dividers. This trunk is absolutely adorable. It would make a great display piece, end table, or would make ideal storage. It is also quite usable but it is old so I would handle with some care. Exquisite. Unique, rare and a magnificent antique thick leather suitcase inside and out. The 9" handle is thick, one of a kind, and in immaculate condition. The brass lock and closures are in beautiful condition and marked"Eagle Rock" look at pictures) After searching many hours on the craftsmanship of antique suitcases and pictures of antique suitcases I can say this suitcase is over 100 years old. With age it is a rich lush patina, the varied deep colors and all it's wonderful marks. The one side of the suitcase has those black marks which is not at all indented in the leather, they are just marks but I did not try to remove them as all the marks give you a story of what that sweet suitcase endured. There is also a paper sticker"Vancouver" which again I love. I can't find the words to describe how wonderful ... morethe craftsmanship is on this antique suitcase. The corners is so thick and piece of art. The inside has a softer leather and I think it is"eel" leather. The suitcase smells like wonderful leather. Inside on the cover it has two parts"eel" leather on the outside and a canvas type fabric on the other. All is clean and in great condition. The straps too are in excellent condition with ornate brass snaps. The measurements are 22" by 13" by 7" Marked on the suitcase is"22" and"375" I think this piece of art would look great used as a drawer on a shelf in a bathroom with lush towels and with the lid opened and held open with a ornate brass chain or a rustic rope or it can be sitting on an antique small table and used as a end table with a piece of glass on top or just sitting in the lobby of your front door to be admired. Unique, black, with nautical renderings on top sections, original hardware and leather straps(one side has broken strap, which I always thought gave it character) Belonged to my grandfather. I've always used it for storage; photo albums and winter gear, gloves, hats, scarves, snow pants, etc. Dimensions are 32 3/8" wide by 20 3/8" deep by 23" tall. What I love about this. I've never seen another like it; I've seen painted trunks. And black trunks.but never another with unique images like this one. Colors are pretty.
