It has heavy patina on the ... moreback of both brass trays. There is patina around all of the sides of the brass and in spots on the carved scenes. The wooden stand is in very good condition. It has some patina on the metal hinges. One of the legs has a missing supporting piece(about a 1 inch long little piece of wood) This piece can use some heavy cleaning. This table would have supported a lamp. This lamp is not included. Pleasingly solid brass trays are supported by a folding base to produce a two tier table. The piece is suitable both for permanent location or as on occasional table. When in folded position the table assumes very little space and can be slid under a sofa or such; in addition the gorgeous solid trays may be used on their own for serving and display purposes. The base is a six leg folding design with dragons head carvings to the upper. The trays display wonderful scense with floral and foliate detailing to the perimeter and a central engraving featuring oriental characters in traditional dress. Overall this peice of furniture is in good condition and will make a great addition to any setting. 20" tall approximately 17" width 10" wide lower tray 14" wide upper tray We are a non-profit store and this was a donation. We are fairly certain this is not a reproduction piece and is truly from the 1930's. We do not know much about this piece except for a previous Ebay listing of a very similar item that sold in the UK in Sept. 2012. These came from a moving sale. I don't know exactly what these came from but they look like they might have come from an old Regency Drum Table. These are nice heavy feet and combined they weigh just about 3 lbs. Measurements: They measure about 2 3/4" wide and 3 3/8" long overall but the size rectangular piece of wood leg that would fit inside these is a maximum 1 11/16" wide. The max height of the leg part would be 2" tall but would need to be tapered I think to fit properly. Condition: Very good with original patina and dirt but no cracks. Chips or other damage. The brass on the inside and bottom which does not show is somewhat rough or irregular. I have many other great items up for sale. Including other antique door hardware from moving and estate sales. There is also a 45 3/4" long x 1/4" wide slot, 1/4" from the back edge of the top which I assume is for a back splash(not included) The side and front edges have an ogee detail, it is drilled out for an 8" center faucet(not included) and the oval sink cutout measures 18 1/8" wide x 14 1/2" deep. The counter top is marked on the bottom" ID SURFACE? and THIS SIDE DOWN" When you look at the bottom you can see the color goes all the way through. The sink is an under mount, American Standard in white, measures about 23" wide x 18" front to back, and is 7 1/2" deep to bottom of drain. This comes with the mounting screws and brackets shown, no drain hook-ups, see pictures for detail, there is a chip out of the under side of the sink but is not noticeable from the top nor does it effect the stability of the unit. The sink and counter top weigh aver 60#s. The legs are a polished cast brass and come with the screws for mounting it to the under side of the console. They weig h about 13#s apiece. These have some scuffing and will need to be polished out. The apron is in great c ondition. It isn't as scuffed as the legs. This part weighs nearly 6#s. See all pictures for condition detail. The front apron measure 25 7/8" long x 3 3/4" high. this also has the 4 mounting screws. A beautiful focal point piece for any new build or remodeling project. ANTIQUE SOLID BRASS STRONG BOX JEWEL CHEST SAFE W/ MOTION ALARM PATENT 1912. Click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge This is a solid brass strong box or safe. With a patent date of 1912. It measures 12 inches by about 9 and weighs over 10 3/4 pounds of brass. The brass is put together with rivets for strength on all sides. It was designed by a German immigrant, Herman Schmarsow of New York City. The patent date and number are on the bottom of the box. It was patented as a Safety Jewelry Chest. What is amazing about this old strongbox is that it has a built in motion sensor alarm system. Under the brass plate on the bottom is an alarm with an arm that would strike the side of the box with a loud clanging noise if the box was lifted. Moving the alarm pin on the underside. All the parts are there. But of course, batteries would have ... moreto be attached to make it work. There is a lock on the front. But unfortunately, I have no key. It would use a flat safety deposit type key from what I could find out. If you want to see how this safe and the alarm works. I think they show this type of safe and how the alarm works and sounds online, including on U-Tube. These boxes are rare. And I was lucky enough to have found one. The brass is in found condition, not cleaned or polished in any way. There are no dings and dents or bent metal. One of the rivets holding the lock is loose, and needs to be re-set properly. Offering this very attractive antique Lane small profile Cedar Chest style#336 with a manufacturing date of July 26. 1927. This petite beauty is just 36 inches wide, 17 1/2 inches deep and just 14 1/2 inches tall. It could have been or could be slightly taller if the caster feet were replaced. It has two copper or brass plated gate post looking straps which is a nice matching add to the fine petina of the cedar wood. There are some rough marks and finish misses, heavy on left front edge and some other visible scratch markings in other areas of the lid. See Photos. Antique brass slipper box made in England by Peerage- still has part of the Peerage sticker on top of lid. 12" H x 17" L x 11.5" W. This is an old piece and does show it's age. Brass is tarnished- needs cleaning. Bottom raised wood pieces that it sits on have split apart on one side(the piece is inside the trunk to be glued on or fixed if you want) making it sit lopsided. Some brass nails are missing from around the edges causing brass to pull away from box. Lid has area on right top where particle board has broken off. Here is a very nice Antique Louis Vuitton steamer trunk. Its the highest end model with all brass hardware and leather trim and a zinc bottom. Interior is clean with 2 trays. This is the very early hand woven linen monogram canvas which was produced from 1896-1904. The serial number 106906 should put it around 1899. I've never seen a metal trunk before and when I examined it more closely I saw the English registry mark on the latch along with double lion imprint. See photos. The trunk has bright blue painted interior(probably not original) Measures 24" length by 17" wide and 16" tall. One side is missing the 2 bottom metal straps and there are 2 holes on the bottom side where the screws would have been in place. 1900's Antique Yale & Towne Steamer Trunk Chest Wood Leather Brass
This is a great antique trunk that at one time was used by Lumpee& Russ Harness Makers; I cannot make out the rest of the wording. The trunk is structurally solid. The valet tray has two holes but this could be nicely refinished. The top tray has two sections with one that does have the leather/button loop closure intact. There is no key in the locking mechanism that was made by Yale Towne MFG out of Stamford. Conn. It weighs just under 55 pounds. This is being sold as is. If you live on the I-5 corridor on the west coast(Washington, Oregon and California) I have a shipper. Wonderful Primitive Antique Hand Hammered Gilt Copper& Brass Clad Wood Chest/Trunk. This is an all original beautiful piece. It is NOT a reproduction. It is sitting on wooden wheels. It has a hinged lid but one of the hinges has come loose from the lid and the piece of wood it was attached to has broken off. The hinge is still attached to the box. The lid still opens and closes fine and this could probably be repaired. There are some places throughout the box where the copper may be slightly bent. Dented, cracked etc. One of the corners has a piece of the trim that is around the edges that has come off but we do have a piece of it that may be reattached. The top of the lid has a spot where one of the nail holes is open and there is some white"sand" or something that they used to keep the 3D scene from caving in inside. Overall ... moremeasurements are 18 1/4" wide side to side, 11 1/2" front to back, and 13" tall. The scene on the front is four men sitting on benches and upside down barrels. One man standing to the side with what looks like a stein in one hand and a woman peeking out the door of the cottage. There is a cat sitting close by observing the men. The has what looks like men and women. One man looks to be helping a woman up off the ground. The scene on one of the sides is two men sitting inside amongst overturned barrels with bottles. Vases, pots etc in the background on a shelf. One is playing a violin or fiddle and the other is sitting next to him. The scene on the other side shows a man sitting in a chair with another man standing over him in front of him. Maybe he's a doctor or dentist? I can't really tell what he is doing. There is another man crouched down to the side as if hiding in the corner. Please take a look at the close up photos for more detail of this wonderful piece. Feel free to email with any questions.

Hello Folks. Today we have a antique Oak or Chestnut Machinist Chest with lots of brass details. This is the most outstanding chest I have ever seen in my 35 years of collecting. Superb Construction using round head brass screws all around on the piece, as well as brass drop finger pulls on all 3 drawers. This chest also has drop carry handles, brass corner guards on top and bottom corners, and a brass lock( no key found) and brass hinges. It has the appearance of a miniature carpenter's chest, it measures 20" long x 11 1/2" deep x 11 1/2" high. Made of all Oak or Chestnut wood, except for the bottoms of the drawers& the bottom of the chest itself, which are pine. Great dovetail design the corners of the chest's top. This is a beautiful antique chest, that does need some minor restoration. The raised panel on the ... moretop center of the chest has split, the top drawer has a short split on each end, one side panel has split, and one side drop handle has a small brass piece broken out. This chest was made long ago by the inmates of the Maine State Prison in Thomaston. Maine. See the metal tag on the front, below the lid, photo# 3} Although there is and has been, a program for inmates to create crafts and projects that are sold to the public{ now through a retail outlet on Rt. 1 in Thomaston} the particular age characteristics of this piece would suggest it is an early piece that was perhaps used in the industrial program as prison property. A LITTLE HISTORY: In 1824. Only four years after Maine broke off from Massachusetts and became its own state, the state legislature established the Maine State Prison in Thomaston Maine. The original layout of the prison had ... moreunderground cells, literally deep holes into which the prisoners were lowered each night and brought up in the daytime to labor in the stone quarry on the prison property. In 1923 the prison was destroyed by a fire in which many inmates died. The old prison was replaced by a facility with two cellblocks. There were long narrow hallways with very small cells{7' x 6' each} Since its early days the Maine State Prison has had a working industrial program. Inmates have worked the quarry. Constructed wooden wagons, buckboards, wheel barrows, sleighs, buggies and tack for horses. Some select inmates worked on the prison farm growing produce. With the advent of the automobile, the industrial program migrated to constructing furniture and expanded this line in the late 1930's to include crafts and novelty items. The Maine State Prison in Thomaston remained a maximum security facility until it closed in 2002. The prison was demolished in April of the same year. The Prison Farm{Bolduc Correctional Facility} and the new Maine State Prison in Warren, Maine, carry on the tradition of farming and woodworking. Antique 1900s Steamer Trunk Wardrobe Leather Yellow 42x23" EXCELSIOR Locks Brass
Early Vintage Travelling Storage Wardrobe Steamer Trunk dates back to about 1910. 42" tall X 23" wide and deep. Cured genuine leather stretched over a sold wood frame. Yellow in color with a nice patina. All edges and corners protected by brass plating. There are 6 functioning ball type wheels on the bottom which allows the user to roll the trunk while flat. And an additional 2 functioning wheels allow the user to roll the trunk while standing on end and towing with the leather handle(picture shown) All metal edges do have some wear but this gives the trunk a great look. The locking hardware is functioning. And is stamped EXCELSIOR#4230 Made in Stamford, Conn USA. Excelsior began making this lock in 1910. The locking mechanism is controlled by the exterior latch which in turn stabilizes the drawers for travel(shown in picture) There ... moreis 1 key from the Independent Lock Co#1076 Made in Fitchburg. Mass USA(valued at $18.95 on Ebay) The interior fabric is a copper monochromatic damask which is in good shape considering the age(picture shown) Once settled at their destination. The traveller may lift the padded top portion of the trunk up using the attached hinges to reveal and unlock the hanging garments(see main picture) There are 5 drawers which feature the same copper damask on their fronts. And brown lining within(picture shown) The top drawer is missing the lock, the bottom drawer is missing the handle, and both drawers do have a little water damage. There are 4 original hangers(1 shirt. 1 pant, and 2 coat) These hangers rest upon a chrome bar which extends outward 18" to allow the traveller to peruse their garments and avoid wrinkling. The hanging garments are protected from dust during travel by a copper damask curtain that snaps closed at the bottom. Approximated weight is 85 lbs. Antique British walnut-burl chest/coffer. Amazing and rare. Inlayed brass detailing hinges. Handles, corner brackets including a perfectly scaled brass shield on top. Solid wood, Queen Anne's leg. Entire interior lined in silk velvet with coordinating trim. Chest measures 21" L x 15" W x 20.5" H. Interior measures 19" L X 13" W X 6.5" H. Key is lacking. This came from an estate and is in very nice antique condition. There is some wear and surface scratches. It is 17" long by 13 1/2" tall and 14 1/4" wide. When you open it up the top has criss cross strings for light stuff. Then you open the lid there is a pull out compartment insert ~ box that is 16" long by 13" wide and 4" tall. All made out of wood with a leather cover around all of it. Two Large brass handles on each side that are 6 1/2" long. The brass lock has Davis's Pat. GR incribed on it. Antique China Trade Leather Bound Camphor Trunk Chest c 1800s Painted Blue Brass
Outstanding China trade camphor trunk. This timeless lift top chest has been bound in turquoise colored leather and painted with a floral design that really makes it stand out as a decorative piece. The edges have been framed with brass nail heads and the edges and corners have brass bracings as well. The top is lifted with a ring-shaped handle and there are simple metal bail handles on the sides. A shield-shape escutcheon surrounds the lock in the front. The inside of this piece is clean and uncovered. Based on similar pieces. The trunk most likely dates from the latter half of the 19th century. Overall. This piece is in good antique condition with no structural issues. There is some wear and damage to the leather, most notably a hole in the back, some tiny holes in the central design on the top and a rip to the leather on the bottom of ... morethe lid at the front. Wonderful antique vintage leather suitcase with brass locks and some old travel stickers. Including Cunard Lines. The suitcase has leather-bound corners and a leather handle. It's had a bit of use, to be fully expected after its many years of traveling the high seas. Its owner, initials GB and long deceased, lived in the US but was originally from Scotland and made many transatlantic voyages to visit family in the UK.
