$38.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Raleigh, United States A recent estate sale purchase. A small child's size travel/ steamer trunk complete with a tray and a key. This trunk measures approximately 22" ... morelong X 14" wide X 15 1/2" high and it has two hinges in back that hold the lid securely to the base. There used to be sturdy leather handles on each side of the trunk but they are no longer intact, these can be purchased inexpensively on-line and they're fairly easy to replace. The corner protectors and hardware appear to be brass plated steel. There are two hasp type closures, one on each side of the lock and the lock needs to be bent just a little to close it securely. We tried the key and the locking mechanism seems to work properly but we didn't want to damage anything so it will arrive open with the key tucked in an envelope safely inside. The inside of the trunk is wood and there should be wood beneath the black material covering the outside(it is non-magnetic and we don't think it's metal) This little trunk is in very good condition and once it's restored it should be a beauty- perfect for your antique doll collection or as a gift for a very special grandchild. Here is a colorful old metal steamer trunk for a child. The antique measures approx 19" x 10" x 10" The doll chest has tremendous character. And is painted red& blue. It has a hanger inside and looks like it's been used for travel before since the former owner's name is attached. The NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM tag shows an old railroad train traveling down the tracks& reads' The scenic water level route' while the name of former owner is written on the back. As you can see. There are also some cute treasures inside but no Shirley Temple or other Barbie type dolls. The two puppy dogs look very, very old& have tags that show they were made by LAMAR TOY CO. Thanks again!

chest childs blanket trunk dovetail antique American folk art primitive 19th C
An antique miniature chest with wonderful dovetail joints. Footed. It sits on 4 legs. 19 th Century. There is paint on the bottom. Original paint. Lovely warm patina. There are hints of green paint on the outside. This is a beautiful primitive. I measure just over 17 ¼ inches tall by about 26 ¾ inches wide by just under 14 inches deep. A hard to find size. Weighs about 24 pounds. It looks like both hinges have been moved a time or two. There is an inlay patch on the lid near the keyhole. The key hole is quite worn. I’m not sure of the type of wood. The lock is off. There is part of the lock loose on the inside. The box inside may be called a keeper or keepsake or candle box. Pieces of the keeper which would form a hinge are broken(Two pieces are off the main piece) The chest shows much wear. The inside is painted green. Neat old ... morechest. Free local pick up. This is a very nice child's or salesman sample trunk. It measures 10" by 6" And is 5" tall. It is all metal. The hardware is brass. One handle, as shown in the pictures, is torn, but it is all there and could be easily reglued. The inside is in very good shape also. The lock is marked Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn.The finish is I believe tin litho, in black and opal, with a hint of pink in it.It is in good shape, the only wear showing on the top. No key. This auction is for an Antique Childs Hump Back Trunk. It is 16 by 9 inches and 10 inches high at the dome. It has a lift out shelf or drawer with two compartments. Only one side has a lid. But I think originally there was one on the other side also. There looks to have been a spot inside the lid where there was another picture. The trunk may have been painted the copper color but the wood is still its natural color and whether the black on the tin staves is original I don't know. By the look of the ends I am not sure if there were ever leather straps but I would think so. This is estate fresh so I have no information about it. It is sturdy and well put together. These types of trunks came in various sizes and were designed for the little girl in the household. The trunk is covered in the traditional brown/black patterned paper. The interior is also papered over the wood frame. The internal tray is missing if there was one. The hardware is black metal. The dimensions are 12"H. 12"W and 18" L. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CHILDS 14x10 DOLL CLOTHES DOME TOP WOOD TRUNK COMPLETE w TRAY
Please read the item description and review the photos before bidding. This is an antique. Victorian period, child's wood dome top doll trunk. The doll trunk was acquired from the estate of a doll collector and it is in good clean, antique condition. The lid has metal brackets, trim and latches. The exterior of the trunk is covered with a faux wood and metal trim pattern paper. The interior and the tray are covered in a yellow floral pattern paper. A lid on the tray compartment has a picture of a Victorian woman. The tray has an open compartment. Too(no nail holes or other indication that there was ever a lid on this side) The trunk is 14" long x 8" wide x 10" tall. The paper cover on the exterior has darkened with age and there are some cracks and chips in the paper cover. The burlap straps on the tray are missing. The ... morelid's hinge section(burlap and metal? on the back of the trunk is missing. The paper decoration on the interior has some bubbling, tears/cracks and chips. There's a horizontal tear in the paper on the inside of the lid along the wood seam line of the wood lid. Antique Childs Trunk Late 1800's to Early 1900's with Original Till Made of Tin
Cute Child's Trunk. Made of tin, has the original till and is papered on the inside with a checked green paper. The trunk is probably from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It measures 13.25" long, by 7" deep and 7" tall. Please view photo's carefully, for what you see is what you get. There is some rust but it does not distract from the trunk. Antique CHILDS DOLL DOMED/HUMP BACK TRUNK Steamer w/ Trays Wood Ribs over Metal
This is a great old child's or doll's trunk that I have been using as a storage piece. It is a domed or camel hump back top. With wooden ribs. There are are black metal bands with brads across the top, corners& sides. The think wooden ribs arch across the top and around the center circumference of the trunk. The inner structure of the trunk is wood with metal overlay- probably steel. The steel has been faux treated to given a bronzed/copper look. It is original to the trunk, not added. Some scratches on the surface. The original paper trays are inside with some decals. There is a little hook which allows you to open and close the inner"door" images 3& 4. The bottom is wood. There are 4 tiny little metal rollers on the bottom to slide the trunk. The trunk measures 12-1/4" high to the domed top. 10-3/4" deep, ... more18" wide. There is some overall wear very typical of the age and it's use and was definitely used by children. It is missing the lock latch. This piece has true character with age appropriate wear. wow! we found a little treasure trove of old baby/ toddler clothes. And some crib sheets, etc. in an old turn of the century trunk. we broke the clothes into two groups. This is group#1- It has four small dresses. Estimated to be from the 1930s to 1940. They are stained with age. We dont want to try to clean them. We are not experts in old clothes, so we are leaving everything alone. These little dresses appear to be for like a 1 to 3 year old child. the material is super thin. Flimsy light cotton. They are hand made for sure. This lot is sold as-is like you see it. We have some other really old sheets and stuff found WITH these clothes. We will combine shipping on multiple wins.

Curved top and a name on the front that looks like"John T. Landson" The trunk has normal wear with scuffs and scratches, loss of paint and the lock does not lock and there is no key. Inside is nice and clean, but does have an old musty odor. I recently came across a roll of this fantastic vintage Lone Ranger wall paper. I used pieces of wallpaper to add to a chest I had and wow it came out fantastic! I handpainted box to give it a rustic primitive look. The inside is original from when I purchased box. It is lined with a dark reddish brown velvet paper. Chest was first painted with chalk paint in a colonial blue then was repainted in antique white chalk paint. Chest was then sanded. Antiqued with stain and then finished in wax. It has antique style brass handles on either side of chest and the other hardware matches. Chest measures 22" wide x 16" tall x 15" deep. Very sturdy chest but not to heavy. It does need restoration The metal bands are rusted Missing handles Missing front lock No tray inside The lid has the fixtures to hold it together but some screws are missing. Inside lid has a wood split. I know that sounds like a lot but it is a real pretty trunk. With a little tlc it can be a beauty.

ANTIQUE PERSONAL TOOL BOX TRUNK WOOD CHEST PRIMITIVE CHILDS AAFA
I can't express how cute this box is over the internet! It has so much detail and style. Just like those large carpenters chests that are 3' long! Measuring approximately 15" Long, 8.5" Tall& 9.5" Deep, it is a mere shadow to it's working relatives! I am unsure whether a loving parent acquired this for their child. A carpenter used it as his traveling caddy or if it truly was a salesman sample trunk. I have never seen one of this age and quality before. It is painted a beautiful vintage yellow and greenish color. The latch is a simple piece of leather which simply hooks onto a metal latch. Inside. You can see a strap of leather, this hooks to a nail and works as the holding mechanism for the lid, although it does not always stay in place, occasionally I have to hook it back on there. There is a nice little tray ... moreto hold the small tools or notions and a deep box for the other tools. The inside lid has a nice piece of leather to hold the little tools and gadgets. There were some leftover sewing notions in this box when I received it but I think it would be a fabulous display for old childrens tools or a fantastic jewelry box or display on your dresser. You definitely do not find this craftsmanship anymore! The hinges are fastened with nails. Which is the only flaw in the piece. They look to be original but there is just a little play on one of the hinges. It is by no means falling off, most likely caused by the heavy lid and not having the leather strap attached. I have not attempted to hammer these back in place, and again, the lid works fine just want to mention a tiny amount of play. Other than all of that. Antique Vintage Childs Doll Wooden Dome Top Trunk. Well Made and Sturdy.
This auction is for a fascinating antique vintage childs wooden doll dome top trunk. I believe it dates from the late 1800's or early 1900's. The trunk is well made and sturdy. It appears to have its original mouldings and hardware. The mouldings are similar to those on other furniture of the era. Bits and pieces of the original leather handles and hinges are still present. They need to be replaced in order to make it fully functional again. The dome is created by five separate pieces of wood that fit together in a tongue in groove configuration and are then nailed to the tops of both sides. Although the trunk is structurally sound. It shows obvious signs of wear and use. It appears that, at some point in its long life, parts of it were lightly sanded. There is no longer a key for the lock. This auction is for a vintage Antique whimsical folk art paper decorated childs trunk chest 9"x 5" x 5" Great early paper was used to decorate this box. The lock is marked Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, CT. Some light wear, but in nice display condition. It has a pull out tray. Metal edges(brass? just like a full size truck would have. The leather straps are in need of repair on the sides. Some tearing of the top paper layer of paper as well. I do not have the key. Please review the full lot of photos I have included.
