Chest has very nice carved feet front and back with bowed top as well as bowed front. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. Here is a colorful old metal steamer trunk for a child. The antique measures approx 19" x 10" x 10" The doll chest has tremendous character. And is painted red& blue. It has a hanger inside and looks like it's been used for travel before since the former owner's name is attached. The NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM tag shows an old railroad train traveling down the tracks& reads' The scenic water level route' while the name of former owner is written on the back. As you can see. There are also some cute treasures inside but no Shirley Temple or other Barbie type dolls. The two puppy dogs look very, very old& have tags that show they were made by LAMAR TOY CO. Thanks again!

You will be getting a antique cedar doll chest with copper hardware. It has been played with. But in good condition for the age. It is 17" x 9" It has cracked on top threw the years. It is easily fixable with wood glue and clamps. It does have black crayon marks on the inside lid. You will like this piece of furniture. This was from my grandmothers estate. She would have been over 100 this year. Check out my other cool stuff!

I can remember as young girl, this trunk in my great grandmother's house with dolls' sitting inside it. The interior paper that it is lined with is adorable. MINIATURE OR DOLL ANTIQUE DOME TOP WOOD TRUNK
Up for bid is a very nice antique miniature or doll size wood dome top trunk. Believed to be from the last turn of the century. This small wood trunk, is covered with a brown and black paper, wood slats, tin corners, tin hardware, cardboard trim and once upon a time, leather handles. The paper is missing or torn in some spots, as is some of the original cardboard trim, and the handles are missing. The inside is a whole different story, fashioned with wall to wall wallpaper, and a tray to boot. There is a cloth strap inside which once held the trunk top open, so that the top did not break the hinges, when let go of. The strap can easily be re-fastened to the inside lid. The inside contents as found appear to be doll clothes and blankets or quilted items, and your getting those as well. Priced high over the years, I probably only ever owned ... moremaybe a small handful of these in the last 40+ years of being in business of buying antiques. They are rare to find, especially in such nice condition as this. A great project piece, just waiting to be refinished and used to keep jewelry, make it into a humidor for your cigars, or give it to a small child who might want to use it for dolls or small collectibles. Antique CHILD'S DOLL STEAMER TRUNK Metal Over Wood, 3 Wooden Drawers & Hangers
This is a wonderful antique streamer truck/chest for doll's clothes. A toy most girls had to have at the turn of the 20th century. I'm not sure how old the trunk is. It is made of thin metal over wood and the metal reacts to a magnet. The trunk has a center key lock(non working) and 2 metal clasp brass colored steel(magnetic) All 4 corners have the same brass colored metal with tacks. There is a black metal band along the center edge with grommets or tacks. A leather strap embossed with the number 22 allows for easy carrying by an adult as the trunk weighs 16 pounds when empty. The handle is sturdy but has light surface cracks. In its upright position. The trunk opens to a wooden interior with 3 stacked drawers and a side for hanging the clothes. A shabby. Chippy vintage wood chest featuring a gold painted design on a black background. The domed chest has lots of wear, as pictured, though the inside is in good condition and was likely never used. The inside also includes a sectioned piece that can be removed. The chest has a lock, though it did not come with a key and I've been unable to find one to fit, so I can't be sure whether it still works or not. In addition to the cosmetic wear, the box also has a long(over 8" crack in the lid, which adds to its shabby character. One of the hinges also has had a sort of make-do repair, as pictured. Antique Vintage Wood Doll Handkerchief Glove Box Trunk Latch & Bentwood Handles
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for a primitive light wooden box or doll trunk measuring 12" wide. 6 1/4" deep and 5 1/2" high. I believe it to be a handmade doll trunk as I found a primitive"Mammy" rag doll and an old celluloid doll inside(sold separately) but it could have also been used as a glove or handkerchief box. The trunk consists of wood panels nailed together with three narrow slats attached on top and one on the front. The wood finish is richly aged but there are stains near the old nail heads- which only gives it more character. To each end there is a bentwood handle. These look like they were an afterthought to the original construction. The front has an old aged tin lever latch. When the lever is vertical the box is latched shut. When flipped to the left, the box latch is open. ... moreInside the cover is attached a paper picture of a Victorian dressed woman. The bottom of the trunk is papered but the paper is stained and torn. A strap of burlap to the left side is no longer attached to it's nail to hold the cover from flopping back. The only splits in the wood slats are two short edge splits on the bottom. Each is aprox. 2" long and does not affect the structural integrity of the box. Vintage Steamer Trunk Salesmans Sample Doll Miniature Bassett Antique Victorian
Here is an adorable miniature steamer trunk from the Bassett company. It opens and closes with two working side latches and one center latch. Measures 10" long by 6" wide by 6.5" tall. There is no key and the side leather handles are gone. Which is very common for these old trunks. Interior paper is intact but torn on the inside of the lid. There is wood underneath the paper. The exterior has rust as shown in the photos. This trunk is perfect for a restoration project. Or keep it in its original state. Would fit nicely on a shelf!

Antique Cardboard Doll Luggage Set Up for auction is this darling set of antique cardboard luggage. One piece has the original leather luggage tag. Working brass closure and some remaining strapping. The second piece has"travel stickers" that were a part of international travel back in the day. The trunk with the"travel stickers" measures 4.25" W x 2.5" D x 1.5" H and has a newspaper lining that is dated July 14. 1930. The piece with the luggage tag measures 4.25" W x 2.5" D x 1.25" H. The luggage handle. Remaining strapping and tag are made of leather and the working latch appears to be brass. The lid is completely removable and appears to have been originally connected to the bottom piece and as a result there is some loss of paper in the back of the piece. Small Antique Dome Hunchback Wood Trunk Doll Child's 18 x 12 x 10.5 Inches VTG
This trunk is probably 100 years old. It looks a little redder in the photos than it really is. It still has a lot of the the original tin hardware and paper lining inside. It looks like there once was a tray that fit into the top. But it is missing. Also, the handles on each side are missing. In addition. There is a strip of wood trim on the front right that is missing(see 8 th photo) The trunk holds together nicely. The 7th photo shows where the boards do not completely meet on the bottom. This trunk could be beautifully restore(or used as is) It is a nice tabletop size that can work in many places. Unlike the large trunks. I'm happy to take more photos.

Super nice doll trunk. Made in Britain on lock. Looks to be all original. 15 1/2" x 8 1/4" x 8 1/2" Lock works but no key. Painted red& black trim tin outside with wood interior. Paper lined interior with children. Cats, dogs and christmas tree. Leather handles do have some numbers on them but I can't make them out. If there was a tray it is missing. No returns or refunds. Up for bid is a creatively restored Antique Child's. Doll or Toy Trunk! This fully restored trunk is PRECIOUS and is ready to be used! There's no need to avoid handling this trunk in fear that you might cause further damage to a 100 year old trunk. It's as strong as it is beautiful.=) The outside measures approximately 12" long. 7 1/4" tall and 7" wide. The inside is 4" deep on the bottom and 2 1/2" inside the lid. The picture frame will hold an approximately 3 1/2" x 5" picture. I'm hooked on these little trunks because they add the charm of an antique trunk to your home without taking up so much room! They can hold trinkets. Jewelry, little treasures or you can show it off in an antique doll display. These beautiful little trunks make AWESOME gifts! According to the writing inside the trunk(which has been preserved through pictures) this trunk once belonged to a young lady named Miss Dorothy Bullerdick. Dorothy lived in Brazil. Indiana. She received the trunk for Christmas on December 25, 1906. I researched the name and found that there are still Bullerdicks living in Brazil Indiana.too cool. Some of the repairs: Brittle paper was removed. Wood cleaned& sanded, joints glued, nails tightened, and screws replaced with nails. The wood was stained, sealed and waxed. Brittle leather handles were replaced. Leather finger pull added. The narrow black bands that were once decorative paper. Were replaced with painted cardboard bands that were attached with dozens of little clinching nails. The cardboard lid was painted to match the rest of the stained wood. Antique Disney Doll Trunk With Dwarf Dolls
This auction is for a wonderful antique Disney doll trunk with Bambi on the front and it comes with two very old rubber Dwarves inside. It measures 6.5" wide x 11 1/4" long and it is 5.5" tall. The basic box is made out of wood with some kind of a cardboard exterior and there is a wonderful Bambi decal on the top. This old doll trunk has the neatest Paper lining on the inside with Disney characters such as Donald Duck. Mickey Mouse, Pluto, etc. This lovely old Disney trunk has brown plastic handles on each end and it has marks, dings, dents, scratches, gouges, lots of wear, rust around the red metal corner pieces- it has a few ripples, it has a musty smell inside, etc. but even so it is a fantastic collectible doll trunk and it is a beautiful piece of the past as well. We were lucky enough to purchase an auction lot of primitives obtained from a Beverly Hills estate. The lot includes some very nice pieces of which we are listing several on Ebay. This piece is a Salesman Sample Trunk- some may also use as a trunk for dolls. The piece is entirely original- no signs whatsoever of any restoration or alterations. The trunk opens and closes with ease but does not have a functioning lock. The interior as well as the original tray are in amazing condition for their age. This chest was part of a museum display in Appleton. WI It has some light scratches. Staining, some of the brads are pulled out a little bit but it is still a solid sturdy very old chest. The cardboard drawers inside have pencil writing on each front. One says"Big Doll" the other says"Baby Dolls" Only one side has a handle.
