This is a vintage piece of luggage that is in used but good condition. It is an extremely rare find and rarer to find in this condition and with key. It is blue slim steamer trunk with blue leather trim and leather handles. The trunk opens up and locks in place to allow for clothes to hang from the hangers. The bottom area has dividers and ribbon ties to secure your items. Both sections have a cloth cover. The bottom has snaps to secure it to the bottom of one of the dividers. This trunk is absolutely adorable. It would make a great display piece, end table, or would make ideal storage. It is also quite usable but it is old so I would handle with some care. This auction features a lot of two vintage stacking/nesting suitcases in earth-tone colors of beige. Golden tan, brown, and sienna. Wonderful for stacking, storage, photography props, stage set use, etc. While these are not a set(different brands) their coloring is complimentary. They appear to be canvas and each has leather trim. The leather handles seem to be securely fastened. Both have a very distressed appearance, the smaller one with more condition issues. VTG ANTIQUE COWHIDE LEATHER SUITCASE TRAVEL LUGGAGE ~ Black Hide Steamer Trunk
You are bidding on/ buying an ANTIQUE 1920s GENUINE COWHIDE LEATHER STEAMER TRUNK. I come across quite a few suitcases. I have yet to see one in as good a shape. And as unique a design as this one. It is the size of a small suitcase. But shaped like a trunk. It measures 24 inches across the front 13 1/2 inches deep, and 10 inches tall. It has steamer style straps. Silver accent hardware, all original. It almost has a walrus or elephant texture to the hide of the material. You can see the patterning up close in photo 12. The top part of this piece expands up about 3 inches if you fill it to do so. If not it sits flat. Photos 8& 11. There are 2 straps around the case. In great condition. On the front of the case there is a lock latch, and 2 securing latches. All 3 in good order. Inside looks good. All the straps there are in great shape ... moretoo. There is a partition piece that slides in between the top and bottom section. Photo 7. The bottom is marked GENUINE COWHIDE 556. Photo 12. This is an almost 100 year old piece. Beautiful Louis Vuitton Monogram Trunk Fantastic vintage Louis Vuitton trunk. Very nice case in monogram canvas. The brass hardware is all intact and very strong. The original key is included! Very rare to have the key along with the case! The trunk does have some wear throughout but overall is in wonderful vintage condition. The canvas shows wear mostly on the sides and a bit on the top of the case. The rivets all say Louis Vuitton. Corners on top were painted with yellow. Along with initials G.C.C. on each end. 1900s Samson Luggage Suitcase By Shwayder Brothers,Black Leather Free Shipping!
You are bidding on a beautiful 1900's Samson suitcase. Trunk by the Shwayder Brothers.This is pre-Samsonite. The case is hard shelled cover in Black leather with corner guards, two leather straps at run all the way around the case. There are 3 latches two on the outside that are marked Shwayder and the lock latch is marked as well it looks to say Shwayder as well. All latches are in good working order, however, I do not have the key to the lock. The inside as a mauve pattern paper covering with two leather straps on the top and bottom. There is also a divider that the straps run through. This case does show some wear but very little for its year. 1900's Samson Luggage Suitcase By Shwayder Brothers, Black Leather
Up for Auction this antique Samson suitcase by Shwayder Brothers this company is now Samsonite. It is black with an interior that is tanish color. The inside paper lining(looks a bit like old wall paper) is cracked or torn all the around on the top and bottom edges of the case. The outside belts go all the way around the case. The straps are cracked(see pictures) not quite broken. The metal corners are scuffed and the paint is scraped from use and age. I believe it is from the early 1900's, there is a tag on it the says Greyhound lines Cleveland Ohio. My grandfather's family came from Ohio when he was a young boy, I am not sure when. Vintage Flat-top Small 20" Steamer Storage Trunk Chest Luggage Leather Handles
This listing is for a rare small vintage flat-top storage/travel trunk. The inside has been clear-coated to seal it and it has no strong or offensive odors. The trunk measures about 11-1/2" tall. 19-3/4" wide and 12" deep. It is still strong and sound, but does show damage from water, including staining. The outside has some scratches and tears from use over the years, including a small one on the bottom corner where the wood is exposed. The outer latches work as they should and sufficiently hold the trunk shut. The center latch closes but does not stay shut. We do not have the key to the lock. ANTIQUE 1920's ROUND CASE LUGGAGE HAT BOX TRUNK LEATHER TRIM TRAVEL STICKERS
An antique 1920's round black case/ luggage/ hat box/ trunk with leather trim and quite a few old travel stickers. It measures approximately 20" in diameter with one flat side so it can sit up without a problem X 9 3/4" high. There are 2 small brass hinges on the lid that hold it to the base of the case and there are 2 ribbons that serve as stays when the case is opened so the lid won't flop backwards when it's opened. It would seem that the lady who owned this hat case was a woman of'means' when you look at all the places it has been. And she most likely owned several others as well as the one you see here. One of the stickers on the case indicate the woman's name was Amelia Gebhard traveled in Cabin#11 on the Norddeutscher Lloyd(North German Lloyd) shipping line from Bremen to New York on 8-24-1926. Nice antique cowhide leather suitcase measuring 26" X 13" X 7.5" This piece is in pretty decent shape for its age with a great patina on the leather. Perfect designer piece. And you can snap the lock in the middle shut and open it without a key(no key is included) Handle is in nice shape as well as the hinges for opening and closing.
