It is marked Cornell on the bottom. The red color and the pattern of the bowl to me indicates1880s-1900. it is in excellent condition the glass is perfect no chips or cracks or scratches. the brass is a little worn and tarnished from age which should be expected. Here is a lovely milk glass handled basket with ruffled clear edge. I believe this piece to be vintage as it came from my 87 year old mother-in-law's house. This is a large piece and stands 9 inches tall and is 11.5 inches across. There are no chips or cracks. Here is a stunning glass compote(or wide bowled goblet) from Murano- with coblat blue bowl and foot. Elaborately decorated with classical figures at various pursuits, gilt scrolling and white'jewels' all joined by a clear glass, flecked with aventurine, swan stem. Up for sale I have this vintage frosted glass reverse painted compote. The compote measures 7" tall and bowl measures 7" around and is 3" deep. There is some peppering that may come off with some cleaning but there are no chips or cracks and the painting is intact. There are a couple of spots on the base where the frost has vanished and there is a spot of white that is raised on the base as well. Overall this is in pretty good shape. This is a very pretty vintage item and would make a nice addition to your collection.

Where it conects to the bottom one spot is more open, I don't know if that was a chip or way it was blown, sorry.Fell a couple of tiny sharper spots, but it is not new, been around along time. The lower portion of the lid old blown web applied design with long ovals at the outer section. under the lid a rough broken off pontil mark. I don't know if this is all blown or molded blown. Little lines. Like maybe straw mark lines lightly and tiny bubble inside the crown cylinder area. The bowl part. Victorian 7 Piece Footed Ruby Glass Berry Set With Silver Plated Base c.1860
You are bidding on a stunning Victorian ruby glass 7 pieces berry set with silver plated stems. The master berry bowl is 8 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" diameter. The 6 berry cups are 3 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" diameter. These pieces have a lovely cut out rim and are fitted on a silver plated fluted base. This is a rare set and we have not been capable of finding any similar examples. We believe this to be English dating from circa 1860. There is no makers mark. There is some condition issues that are minimal and do not deter from the beauty of this set. The master bowl detaches from the base as it should be. The berry cups have been fixed in with some sort of old plaster. The master bowl has a flake chip on the outer rim and a few very small nicks also on the upper rim. It also show some utensil marks. Tho(2) of the cups have small ... morenicks on the rim. The silver plating has some wear clearly shown in our pictures. This amazing set will display marvelously! Antique Victorian Large Pressed Glass Pedestal Compote Dish This auction is for a Victorian pressed glass pedestal compote dish. According to a friend who is an appraiser for an auction house. This piece is probably from the 1880s, maybe early 1890s. The piece is large, standing about 9" tall and 9" in diameter at the top of the dish. The piece weighs about 4.5 pounds. The pressed decorations are on the underside of the bowl and the outside of the base. The pictures are taken of all 4 sides, then the top, then the bottom. This item is being sold"as is" The condition of the piece is very good plus to excellent. With no chips or cracks I can see or feel. There are a few very small bubbles/imperfections in the glass(so small. They do not pick up well in the photographs) There is some roughness along a few of the edges. It's marked with a turquoise blue and silver foil label on bottom which reads, Hand Made- West Virginia- Weston, Va. It's about 6" tall, by 6" wide and has a formed round foot, rimmed bowl top and rimmed, fitted lip on top lid. It's designed having white enameled dots with gilt inside them; and gold paint flecks everywhere on its exteriors. EPERGNE/COMPOTE ETCHED CRANBERRY GLASS BOWL WITH ORNATE SILVER METAL BASE
This is stunning very large cranberry epergne/compote with a silver/silverplated heavy ornate base. This is a late 1800's early 1900's with 3 cranberry bowl's that are etched with a lovely wedding scroll design. The piece measures 17" tall x 15" wide. The small bowl's measure 3" tall x 6 1/2" wide. The large center bowl measures 9 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall. The base measures 13" tall x 13" wide. I see no chips or cracks in the bowls has some edge ware on the larger bowl. The base I am unclear on has it could be silver or silverplated can't find any marking's. Needs polishing should clean up really well. This is one amazing antique piece. I have owned this piece for the 22 years and it has been housed a curio cabinet.

Antique Cut Flint Glass Scalloped Compote Sweet Meat Dish c 1850 - 1860
This auction is for a Fine ANTIQUE Clear Cut Flint(lead) Glass Compote circa 1850-1860. The Compote features multiple cut facets around the outside of the bowl and in the center. Bottom of the base. As was the custom of the time. This piece was made in three pieces- the bowl. The stem and the base- there are some very light internal swirl air bubbles at the join of the bowl to the stem. The Compote. Which measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long by 5 1/8 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. Is in remarkably good condition. With only two shell shaped chips to the rim- both very difficult to see due to location(outside edge of the rim) and several very small nibbles- visible with a magnifying glass. This compote is one of two which I recently acquired- both were very lovingly cared for as is evident by the minimal scratches to the base and no ... morescratches to the inside of the bowl. The flint glass has the typical light grayish tint- possibly Sandwich glass. Please see my! This listing is offering for bids a very choice and beautiful Pattern Glass 3 mold pedestal Compote that is 8 inches across the top. 2 1/2 inches deep and stands 5 inches high. The bowl of the compote has a 2 in band clear around it containing a frosted panel containing flowers. The three are at the ends of the mold seams. Then there are panels in the rest of the band. The first panel has a train crossing the river on a stone arch bridge. The the second panel has a mountain in the background and a Lake in the foreground. On the shore is a log cabin. The third panel has a Lake in the foreground with a sail Boat. There is a Log Cabin on shore in the woods. There are three things to mention that are not ... moredefects but are in the glass. 1st.A small dent in the rim at the end of one of the mold marks. 2nd. there are 2 small ruptures inside the glass, on the bottom of the bowl. 2 White Opalescent Glass Stemmed Compotes Gilded Butterflies
Very good condition to good condition. The only reason I list them at good condition is due to a small gold loss on several of the butterflies(see photos) however this is not a distraction to these beauties. These two(2) Lovely Opalescent white stemmed compote glasses are of unknown origin and age. The bowls appear to be hand blown and then attached to the stem and base. The base has 2 seams. Each compote has that beautiful blue translucence look. Each butterfly is hand painted with gold. Size: 2 1/2" high X 4 1/2" tall. The only other information I have is that the owner was a world traveler and these came from her estate.

A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, English cut cameo glass oil lamp font in the manner of Webb. It is unsigned. The base las a ground and polished pontil. The font retains the original cemented brass collar, and the marked:Mesenger, duplex brass burner with chimney gallery. The font measures 4-1/4" tall by 5" diameter, with burner complete 7-1/2" tall, the brass shade ring for a shade with 4" diameter base. Excellent condition: glass without chips or cracks, brass mounts in old patina and working order.

BLUE SERVING DISH OR COMPOTE+TRANSLUCENT PALE GREEN ROSE BOWL No Reserve
This is a no reserve auction for two old glass items. I no have no expertise in this area at all. These came down through my mother's family. She was the last of four children born in 1914 and I know one of her older brothers was born in 1901. So her parents were probably married late in the 19th century. These have been behind glass in a china cabinet for the last 25 years. I don't really know what the proper terms for them are. I saw a similar item to the blue glass piece called a compote I think was the term. Some years ago I think a similar item to the green vase had the term rose bowl used. I will try to find out more information. The blue glass item is about 4 1/2 inches high and 4 3/4 inches wide at the top. The green vase is about 3 3/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. Neither piece has any chips. Cracks, or damage. However ... moreon the inside of the green vase there is a curious oval shaped area where the glass is thin as if an inside surface about 5/8 inches long had come off. I don't know if this from the time it was made or later. I was unable to get my camera to focus on it. However in the 7th picture, if you look about two thirds of the way down you might see a very faint shadow like indication of its location. You might wonder why both of these are in the same auction. It is because they will both fit into one medium size priority flat rate box. I would probably use that box to ship either of them alone. So carefully packing both into one priority saves me time and the buyer at least $12.35 or more in shipping. Just a thought. We shall see if anybody else likes that idea. This is an absolutely gorgeous vintage lead 10 inch measured from base to bowl. The depth of the dish is approx. 3 inch deep. Design has daisies. Carved stars and sunburst within it. The base is marble made in Italy It is in mint condition, no flaws.
