ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I do not know if it is glass or crystal. It does have a beautiful"ping" to it when tapped. It measures 8" tall. Marble base is 5" in diameter. Compote is 7" in diameter& 2" tall& has several"U" shaped cutouts. Crystal/glass is 3/4" thick at the thickest part. It is very heavy. Weighing 5 lbs 9 oz. Metal pedestal has a beautiful brass finish. There are 7 teardrop prisms. Overall it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The bowl is cut with a wonderful scalloped edge cut in semicircles on the outside. There is a lightly cut lotus looking blossoms design around the bowl and in between the 4 draped panels with a cut diamond design. The stem is a lovely sculptured nude lady with a robe draped over one leg. She holds the bowl in one hand on her head. The base is cicular with a starburst design on underneath. The compote measures about 12 1/2" tall ... moreand 8" wide across the top rim. The base measures about 4 1/2" wide. It has a silver and blue label on the base which reads 24% pbo which I believe means lead crystal.It also has what looks like" roct 30407-96" on the label. There is also a worn blue and silver label on the bowl but I can't read the characters as they are foreign. Possibly Slovakian, Czech or Russian although I can't be sure. There is a bird with an open wing on it with the number 1756r The bowl was purchased at an antique dealer's estate sale but I was unable to learn much about it. It is in very good condition. I can see no chips on the rim but see a few light scratches which are very minor. This is a lovely tall Art Deco style compote. Thanks for looking. This starburst pattern cut crystal glass has an amazing amount of gold on this compote bowl. The bowl has a lovely floral gilted brass center screw. Between the beautiful bowl and the glass stem is a wonderful gilted brass leaf pattern that the prisms hang from. The stem of the piece is a solid diamond shape glass. Vintage Mid Century~ Beautiful Crystal Compote with Painted Brass Pedestal and Black Marble Base Dish has a diamond shaped pattern with a cut notched edge~ it's so clear and refracts the light so nicely! The pedestal is a antique gold tone and cream color painted brass scroll and tear drop shapes. exquisite! The paint looks like it was done purposely to be a bit distressed. The base is a solid block of black marble with a golden brown grain running through it. I am guessing(although I do not know the exact age) that this piece is from about the 1960s. One scuff in the paint that can be seen in picture# 4. On the section just underneath the bowl. Otherwise flawless. No chips, scratches or cracks at all in the glass. The base appears to be marble and is 5" square. The support is bronze in color and I don't know if it is solid or plated. The bowl is about 8 1/4" in diameter and has a"sawtooth" edge. I have felt around the various edges and facets without finding any obvious chips. Up for your consideration is a stunning Antique Cut crystal glass footed compote. It is absolutely beautiful with crystal prism teardrops that hang on a bronze or brass petal stem. It looks like the Victorian or Art Nouveau era. The compote is is very nice condition with no chips or cracks. Underneath the base shows some patina loss under the feet with the number 1031. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" across glass bowl rim. The base measures 3 1/2" across the feet. The bowl moves in circular fashion. Such a wonderful crystal compote which could be utilized as fruit bowl. Mantle decorations, table centerpiece and the list goes on. It is sold as is. Quite heavy too. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE CUT BLOCK EAPG (?) CRYSTAL Glass COMPOTE candy dish with LID
I wish I could tell you exact information on this compote but I cannot. An antiques expert told me it is called Cut Block but there are no markings on it. It is 9" tall with the lid and 6" tall without the lid. The lid is curved to match the curves on the base of the compote and it fits into these curves perfectly. The base is scalloped. The stem of the base has a drape pattern and you can see the inside of the stem which resembles a blown bubble- but is simply the inside of the stem. My mother has this exact compote but in a 12" tall size that she has had for more than 50 years. She bought hers originally in an antique shop. this compote has no damage and very little wear on the bottom so it may have been stored in a china cabinet. The glass is very clear.

This is a Heavy and Beautiful Candy Dish or Compote. It is made of thick press/cut glass with brilliant pattern of double star or arches. The Metal is casted really thick and has a nice antique but shiny look. It appears to be brass as best as I can describe the color. It is very heavy and thick. the base is lush and scrolling with 4 feet and pedestal design. the glass bowl is held on by a ornate brass fitting and the lid has a matching finial knob that looks like a pine cone or an artichoke. stands 10" tall. 6.5" wide at base and bowl is 6" wide. Found no chips or damage the glass or its rims. The base is very nice and shiny. I do not know if the bowl is cut glass or crystal, but it is lovely& refracts light beautifully. It also has a beautiful ringtone when tapped. The cast metal pedestal is very ornate and has the look of aged brass. The pedestal sits atop an Italian marble base and has 7 teardrop crystal prisms. It measures 9-3/4" tall. Vintage Pressed Lead Crystal Glass Compote
This beautiful piece has absolutely no damage of any kind. No scratches. Chips, breaks or repairs. It is 9 3/4" tall and the compote opening is 8" It is a lead crystal three part mold, with an extraordinary finish. The mold seams have no feel to them. There is an etched 6 part design around compote in a floral design, surrounded by leaves. There are 8 crystal prisms hanging with a marble base. I believe the metal work is brass or bronze. I cant' be sure which. This is a truly beautiful piece. Every one of the notches on the rim of the compote have been beautifully smoothed and have no rough edges.

Height is 9 13/16" diameter of bowl is 4 9/16" There is much wear to underside of footrim from resting on various surfaces over the years. Condition is excellent: no chips, cracks, nicks' or distracting scratches- just some wear to gilding around foot(gilding on bowl is excellent) Beautiful!

Etched Glass Crystal Pedestal Compote Candy Dish
Unfortunately I don't know anything about this item other than the fact that it has a beautiful intricate pattern. The pictures are the best indicator of what this item is like. It appears to be etched crystal. The texture pattern is on the outside of the bowl. And the underside of the base. The top of the base and inside of the bowl are smooth surfaces. There are four rows(one on each side) of six raised teardrop-shaped decorations on the inside of the bowl. They are larger at the top and get progressively smaller as they near the bottom of the bowl. There is a tiny air bubble in the stem, and there is a small chip on the lower edge of the base. Please see last two photos. It stands about 6 3/4 inches tall, 7 3/4 inches wide at the top, and 3 3/4 wide at the base. Shipping to United States only.
