Circa 1900 2 ¾” tall by 5 ½” diameter Art Glass Compote I knew that it was unique and rare. I have never seen another piece of glass like it on over 40 years in the business. The landscape decorated design you see is not reverse painted, nor is it on top of the glass like camero glass. The design is actually within the glass and can be seen equally from both sides. The design had to be made when the glass was molten. This small compote has a satin surface and along the inside edge of the top is the signature“Montanoro” After quite a bit of searching online, as well as posting a few photos on Glass I'D forums, someone finally found an other example of of this art glass with this signature. If you go to papilio.cz and search the archives for keyword'Montanoro' you will find the one example of this glass we could find. This site referred to this glass as Bohemian. Up for your consideration is a stunning Antique Cut crystal glass footed compote. It is absolutely beautiful with crystal prism teardrops that hang on a bronze or brass petal stem. It looks like the Victorian or Art Nouveau era. The compote is is very nice condition with no chips or cracks. Underneath the base shows some patina loss under the feet with the number 1031. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" across glass bowl rim. The base measures 3 1/2" across the feet. The bowl moves in circular fashion. Such a wonderful crystal compote which could be utilized as fruit bowl. Mantle decorations, table centerpiece and the list goes on. It is sold as is. Quite heavy too. Antique Gold Gilded Brass Eagles Footed Art Glass Pedestal Compote Urn Vase
This is a beautiful antique gold gilded brass Eagles footed art glass pedestal compote or urn or vase. Including the Eagles. It measures 9 1/4 inches tall(23.5 cm) Without the Eagles, it measures 8 3/4 inches tall(22.2 cm) The glass section measures 4 1/2 inches tall(11.4 cm) The bottom brass part also measures 4 1/2 inches tall(11.4 cm) The top opening is 3 1/4 inches wide(8.3 cm) Measuring from one corner of a foot to another corner of a foot it's 3 5/8 inches wide(9.3 cm) The glass is frosted and has great-looking tiny ovals all over. I don't know how this effect was created. The handles are highly detailed Eagle heads. The base has beautiful detail also. Including the 4 feet. I don't think it's bronze because it's not heavy enough. So it must be brass. But the intricate detail is wonderful. The rim around the top of ... morethe frosted glass has a very slight bend in it(please see photo) There is a slight chip when you take it apart where the brass meets the glass. But it's inside and doesn't show when you screw the little piece of brass back that connects the base with the glass(please see photo) There is also a small chip where the top of the glass meets the brass. But it's on the inside. However. You can see it if you look at it from a certain angle(please see photo) It has a great old rich patina to it. Surprisingly. It's not marked with a company name. Likely interwar(1919- 1940) period based on the look and the other stuff I found this with. This stands about 8 1/2" at its tallest. Top bowl is 10" diameter. Foot is 5 3/4" diameter. Weighs 3 lbs 3 oz before packaging for shipment. No noticeable cracks or chips. Wear to figures. They are brass colored. Could be hollow brass, or plated, I am not sure. Antique Art Deco Cobalt Crystal Compote with Silver Overlay 8''
This piece has me stumped. It is definitely old but appears to have irregular imperfections from the maker. First of all on the underside of the top rim there are small notch like marks that continue around the whole rim that appear to have been made when the glass was cooling on some sort of rack, these marks are original to the piece. Which leads me to believe this was probably sold as a reject of some sort. Also if you look at the last picture the top rim is uneven, which could only happen during its creation, There is a chip on the bottom rim as the pictures show. The silver is hand painted, you can see the brush strokes. The mark on the bottom appears to be F.294 which could be Francs and $.1 for US dollar. This is 8 1/4' high x 8' wide I would more than welcome any information you might have on this item.

The glass is cobalt blue and decorated with enameled gold leaf of scroll design with faded line of gold gilt around base edge. This piece sits about 4" tall and is more than 10" in diameter. Depth of about 4" It is decorated all around the rim and nothing on the outside of the bowl body and the pedestal base other than a light line of gold gilt. There are no repairs or cracks found on this compote bowl~ Just Gorgeous!

Antique Pattern Glass Compote c.1880's EAPG- Jacob's Tears DESCRIPTION A handsome EAPG( Early American Pressed Glass) compote in the Jacob's Tears Pattern. This pattern is also known as Job's Tears. Teardrop and Diamond Block and Art. This was made in the late 1880's by Adams& Company, Pittsburgh PA. A wonderful flaring shape to the bowl with large'Teardrop' pattern that is repeated in the pedestal. This is an antique and does glow yellow under a black light. In Excellent Condition. No chips or cracks, no scratches or utensil marks. Please note: The mold that was used to create this compote did leave behind some little marks in the base of the bowl. A common occurence in pattern molded glass. They occur only in the base of the bowl so they do not cause any problem for viewing the pretty design pattern. Not ... moredamages, no chips or cracks, just little factory flaws that can be seen in the glass. A straw like mark with tiny little black specks in the glass and a few tiny spots also embedded in the glass. Please see our two images that show these minor flaws. This Outstanding Bohemian Art Glass Compote measures about 9" in diameter and 7-3/4" tall. It does have some wear and some chips as pictured. Antique Cranberry Moser ? Art Glass Bride's Basket - Egyptian Rival Victorian
One of the most exquisite examples of glass blowing in the 1800's was utilized in this cranberry crested art glass bowl. Set into an Egyptian Revival Silver plate basket made by Reed and Barton. Glass bowl has orange"nipples" sorry, but can't think of another way to describe them) Glass workmanship makes me think of Moser, Mt. Washington, etc, but I can't find any comparable glass online. Basket measures 12" tall. Glass basket is 9 1/2" in diameter and 3 1/4" tall. No flaws to glass or enamel decoration. Rim has 10 scalloped edges. The bottom of the bowl is attached to a rolled brass cap which is held in place with plaster paris. Stand is cast brass and not marked. The metal part is silver plate over brass. But most of the silver plate has worn off. This typically happened to these items. It shows a stag deer buck standing under an oak tree that holds the crystal top. These items were usually centerpieces on tables in hunting chalets. It measures 9 1/2" tall.
