Vintage Mid Century~ Beautiful Crystal Compote with Painted Brass Pedestal and Black Marble Base Dish has a diamond shaped pattern with a cut notched edge~ it's so clear and refracts the light so nicely! The pedestal is a antique gold tone and cream color painted brass scroll and tear drop shapes. exquisite! The paint looks like it was done purposely to be a bit distressed. The base is a solid block of black marble with a golden brown grain running through it. I am guessing(although I do not know the exact age) that this piece is from about the 1960s. One scuff in the paint that can be seen in picture# 4. On the section just underneath the bowl. Otherwise flawless. No chips, scratches or cracks at all in the glass. Up for your consideration we have a vintage heavy crystal glass compote dish with a pretty diamond like pattern on it. It is about 7" tall. 7" diameter and it has a 5" diameter footed base. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It has some light soiling and could use a little cleaning. It has some surface scratching from normal use. ANTIQUE AMBER DIAMOND PATTERN COMPOTE CAST BRASS MARBLE BASE 6 HANGING PRISMS This compote is in the Baroque style with its fancy 4 footed cast base. The amber colored glass has a diamond pattern with a starburst in the center. The prisms are attached with brass wires and are many faceted. It stands on a 4" square marble base that has a a flea bite on the bottom rim. The compote stands 8 7/8" high and the opening is 6" in diameter. An impressive compote for you table or sideboard.

Very nice Antique diamond point cut Amber flash/ stained compote. Glass bowl features alternating clear and amber glass 1 inch panels that taper into a clear diamond cut design. This compote is in good( not perfect) condition. The original metal hardware shows its age. There are 2 clear panels that have tiny flea bite marks on the rim. The bowl rests atop of an acrylic amber polygon shaped(6 sided) support that attaches to the unpolished brass( floral and leaf shaped support. The metal leaves each have a spot for prisms. No prisms are included as they have long since been removed. The 4 inch diameter marble base shows some nicks( no cracks) This compote is very heavy and weighs over 4 lbs. without packaging. The compote was manufactured by the Pittsburgh Flint Glass Manufactory and it is in the Diamond Strawberry& Fan pattern. The foot is circular with a stepped base and it has a wafer stem. The compote itself has a band around its midsection with the Diamond Strawberry& Fan pattern. The bottom has a smooth polished pontil mark and it rings exactly as it should for old flint glass when tapped gently. Overall the compote stands about 7 3/4" tall. And it has a 10 1/2" top diameter. Item Condition: The overall condition of the compote excellent. It is very clean and there are no chips. Cracks, or repaired areas.
