The bowl is cut with a wonderful scalloped edge cut in semicircles on the outside. There is a lightly cut lotus looking blossoms design around the bowl and in between the 4 draped panels with a cut diamond design. The stem is a lovely sculptured nude lady with a robe draped over one leg. She holds the bowl in one hand on her head. The base is cicular with a starburst design on underneath. The compote measures about 12 1/2" tall ... moreand 8" wide across the top rim. The base measures about 4 1/2" wide. It has a silver and blue label on the base which reads 24% pbo which I believe means lead crystal.It also has what looks like" roct 30407-96" on the label. There is also a worn blue and silver label on the bowl but I can't read the characters as they are foreign. Possibly Slovakian, Czech or Russian although I can't be sure. There is a bird with an open wing on it with the number 1756r The bowl was purchased at an antique dealer's estate sale but I was unable to learn much about it. It is in very good condition. I can see no chips on the rim but see a few light scratches which are very minor. This is a lovely tall Art Deco style compote. Thanks for looking. The pictures do not do this piece justice. This is a stunning crystal cut glass with gold highlights compote. This starburst pattern cut crystal glass has an amazing amount of gold on this compote bowl. The bowl has a lovely floral gilted brass center screw. Between the beautiful bowl and the glass stem is a wonderful gilted brass leaf pattern that the prisms hang from. The stem of the piece is a solid diamond shape glass. The prisms on this antique compote picks up great color. The brass ornate filigree pattern and marble base is a beautiful addition to this stunning compote. When this piece is in the light the gold just catches the eye. The antique compote measures 8" tall and the cut crystal gold highlighted bowl measures 8 1/2 across x 4 1/2" deep. etched clear glass compote w/ raised design from stem tiny bubbles in glass 6" d
This is 6 inches in diameter. Kind of heavy for what it is. Base has 3 uniform ridges in it, maybe pressed glass? no maker's mark. The ridges extend up the short stem and into the base of the bowl with the decorative design used to disguise them, culminating in a diamond that touches the etching in three places.It's approximately 3.5 inches tall. There are tiny bubbles in the glass in random places of the piece.

Elaborately decorated with classical figures at various pursuits, gilt scrolling and white'jewels' all joined by a clear glass, flecked with aventurine, swan stem. The quality of the glass, cutting and construction is outstanding. It measures roughly 12" tall x 6 3/4" in diameter across the bowl. A lot of work went into the making of this piece. It has an applied hollow cut cover knob that is ground flat at the top and polished. The stem is also hollow and cut faceted. There is a band of cut panel around the outside of the bowl. The underside of the base is ground and polished. The domed cover with flange is just great. As nice as the piece looks in the pictures its even nicer when you handle it. The condition is mint. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding of any kind. There are no surface scratches or interior surface staining. It rings like a bell when you tap it with your finger. Cranberry Glass Footed Compote Spiral Twist Glass Stem Cranberry Bowl
This auction is for a cranberry glass compote. Thumbprint type glass. It has a spiral twist stem. Great condition with out cracks or chips. It is 4 3/4" tall. The open bowl is 5 1/2" across. General Info: I buy to keep some and sell some. I love going to garage sales and estate sales. I have been doing it a long time. I know a little about a lot but. Not a lot about any one thing. Antique Flint Glass Compote -Bubble Stem & Cross-Hatch Cut Band Beautiful Ring
This is a wonderful old crystal compote with a perfectly formed bubble stem and meticulously cut cross-hatched band around the bowl. There are a couple of very small as-made globs in the glass of the bowl. Measuring 7-1/2” high and 10” across the top. The foot is 5” wide. It has a great deep, long lasting ring. The stem is panel cut and it has a star cut base. Condition is very good for it’s age. There are no chips. Cracks or stains. There are some scratches and small wear spots. 19th Century Cut Engragved Glass Compote Floral Leaf Band Hollow Stem & Base
A stunning 19th century hand blown and cut compote with a hollow faceted stem and base that is just incredible! The outside of the bowl is beautifully decorated with acid etched bands. Leaves and flowers. Size: 6 1/8" Height by 8 1/8" Diameter. Top rim and pontil are ground. It rings like a bell and there's a mate, shown together last. Some age appropriate shelf wear to the bottom. Like all hand made glass. It is not unusual to find bubbles or slight differences in size or weight. I have many wonderful items for sale in my Sunny Knoll Antiques eBay store. Victorian Cranberry Glass High Stem Shallow Bowl Compote ~Gold Enamel Decoration
Lovely Victorian Cranberry Glass Compote This high stem compote stands approximately 6 1/2" tall. It has a shallow bowl and the edge curves downward. With a"scallop on scallop" form. It is beautifully decorated with gilt flowers and designs.The gorgeous cranberry stem is encased in crystal glass. There are a couple small condition problems ~ roughness on the end of one of the small scallops on the top edge of the plate and a small imperfection in the glass in the top of the bowl.
