UP for your consideration this week is a really beautiful German Lead Crystal Footed Compote Dish with Lid Size- Approximately 9 3/4"H x 20"D Description: Compote has three footed feet. Is adorned with beautiful cut flowers, and the detail is stunning. This is a heavy piece. It's sure to be a wonderful conversation piece. Compote does have original sticker. Note- I am going through a lot of my grandmothers crystal. I came across this lovely compote that was given to her by my grandfather. When they were stationed in Germany. Just so you know. It is a little dusty so the new owner will want to clean it. I did not attempt to clean because I did not want to ruin the sticker. This piece was kept in my grandmothers Curio Cabinet. Hello. You are viewing my auction for a Vintage Cut Glass Compote Or Candy Bowl With the Lid. This compote has a Marble and Brass metal Bottom. I am unsure of the exact type of metal it is. This glass compote has a Victorian style look to it. It has amazing details. This bowl measures with the base 14 and 1/4" tall by 6 and 3/4" wide by 6 and 3/4" long. It weighs 7.4 pounds. I am unsure of its age or where it was made. It reminds me of a an antique candy store bowl where candy was stored. This item is in good condition with some rough edges on the glass around the inner rim of the lid. There is also one very small chip on the top of the lid around the rim. There are no repairs present. The bottom glass section is in very good condition. Overall this is an amazing looking item that would be the center of attention in any cabinet ... moreor table. Up for auction is this beautiful vintage colbalt or capri blue glass compote or candy dish with the lid. No chips. Cracks or hairlines. Very beautiful piece, came from an older lady's estate. I do not know the maker. Colonial lace edge with paneled sides. Measures 10" tall with the lid on and the base is 6" tall and 6" across the top including the lace. The dish is 3" deep and 4" wide across the top.

EAPG Daisy Button Thumbprint Elegant Compote w Lid Canary Yellow Crystal Compote ADAMS GLASS/US GLASS CO FACTORY A EAPG~Early American Pattern Glass DAISY BUTTON THUMBPRINT PATTERN CIRCA 1886~1891 Compote with Lid Measures aprox. 8 inches tall with lid on. Without lid is 4 inches tall x 6 1/2 inches~SQUARE, measuring bottom of compote. PLEASE~Supersize the pictures as they serve as a huge part of my description. Stunning~Beautiful~Elegant~OLD~ is just a few words that describe this Canary Yellow Daisy Button Thumbprint Compote The covered Compote does have a flaw that is not mentioned below. I am not real sure if it is a flaw or was made this way. I almost did not notice this. But once I did, it was easy to spot again. Inside the bowl there appears to be a wicked crack in the crystal. However I cannot feel this crack on the inside or outside ... moreof the compote. I really think it is, within the glass? It starts from one of the side thumbprint panels. THere are different cuts in the panels and it looks like this mentioned flaw starts in the same area where a cut was made to form the panels. I tried to show you in the pictures the flaw but it was real hard to get a good photo of the flaw. See pictures, 8& 9. The 8th picture, I darkened quite a bit, hoping you will be able to see this flaw. I have several pieces of the EAPG listed and it all. Is in really GOOD CONDITION for it's age. Looks to have been taken well care of and probably lived in a curio cabinet for many years. You may or may not find things such as a few bubbles in the glass. Roughness around edges or strawmarks. These, if found, are natural from the creation process. The EAPG pieces that I am listing are well over a 100 years old and I am sure if you look hard enough. You will find a few small area's where the yellow stain has flaked, or scratched. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE CUT BLOCK EAPG (?) CRYSTAL Glass COMPOTE candy dish with LID
I wish I could tell you exact information on this compote but I cannot. An antiques expert told me it is called Cut Block but there are no markings on it. It is 9" tall with the lid and 6" tall without the lid. The lid is curved to match the curves on the base of the compote and it fits into these curves perfectly. The base is scalloped. The stem of the base has a drape pattern and you can see the inside of the stem which resembles a blown bubble- but is simply the inside of the stem. My mother has this exact compote but in a 12" tall size that she has had for more than 50 years. She bought hers originally in an antique shop. this compote has no damage and very little wear on the bottom so it may have been stored in a china cabinet. The glass is very clear.

Antique Victorian Large Pressed Glass Pedestal Compote Dish with Lid- 12.5" Tall This auction is for a Victorian pressed glass pedestal compote dish with lid. According to a friend who is an appraiser for an auction house. This piece is probably from the 1880s, maybe early 1890s. The piece is large, standing 12.5" tall to the top of the finial on the lid, and weighs about 5.5 pounds. without the lid, the dish is about 8.5" tall, 9.5" wide and 7.25" deep(last 2 measurements taken at the top of the dish) There are etched leaf decorations in 4 locations on the dish. The pictures are taken of all 4 sides, then the top, then the bottom. This item is being sold"as is" The condition of the piece is very good plus to excellent. With no chips or cracks I can see or feel. There are a few very small bubbles/imperfections ... morein the glass(so small. They do not pick up well in the photographs) There is some roughness along a few of the edges. Probably from the manufacturing process. I am not an expert. Porcelein Compote and Lid from AMC Germany
Thia beautiful compote with matching lid has a vibrant floral pattern around the edge of the bowl top and the edge of the lid. It also has what appears to be hand-painted gold handles on each side as well as a gold hand-painted top. These areas where the gold is are worn from use. The compote and lid are in good condition. There are no visible chips or cracks. This piece has some wear from use. It measures 10 1/2" across and 7" tall. Including the lid and top handle. It has an octagon shaped bottom, but the top part is round. It is a unique piece and would make a nice addition to any table setting.

This is a Heavy and Beautiful Candy Dish or Compote. It is made of thick press/cut glass with brilliant pattern of double star or arches. The Metal is casted really thick and has a nice antique but shiny look. It appears to be brass as best as I can describe the color. It is very heavy and thick. the base is lush and scrolling with 4 feet and pedestal design. the glass bowl is held on by a ornate brass fitting and the lid has a matching finial knob that looks like a pine cone or an artichoke. stands 10" tall. 6.5" wide at base and bowl is 6" wide. Found no chips or damage the glass or its rims. The base is very nice and shiny. COVERED VASELINE GLASS COMPOTE WITH LID - PRESSED GLASS - PERFECT CONDITION
This beautiful small compost is in perfect condition. It is the Vaseline color of old pressed glass probably made in the 1960s. Would be my guess. Strictly a guess) I know I have had it for at least 40 years or so. Up to the decorative point on top is 7 1/2" tall. It is 5" in diameter at the middle. It is VERY heavy glass. I don't remember what the pressed glass pattern is, as I never collected much glassware, but it is pretty. As I said, also in fine shape. The top lip of the compote and the bottom lip of the lid has a beading on the edge, I guess to make it fit together more securely. Not much else to say, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Antique Compote-Lion on Lid Gillinder& Sons-Lion Decor Clear & Frosted Glass
Compote base is frosted with the imprint of a lion in grass on each long side. Around the bottom is a twisted rope-like edging. Base is approx. 3"x 6 1/4" The compote. Itself, is clear glass with rounded ends. Measure approx. 4 1/2"x 7 3/4" The lid is clear with the same twisted- like motif around the edge. The top of lid is frosted with a texture. Sitting on the top is a frosted lion. Sitting, head up, paws resting on a small sort of pedestal. I can find no name or manufacture. But it certainly resembles the Gillinder& Sons compote of 1877. It is an original which has been a family heirloom dating back to late 1800's or early 1900's.

This is an Art Deco footed compote with lid or cover. It is crystal with a nice clear ring at my touch. Both compote and lid are etched with flowers. It stands 7 3/4" tall to the top of the handle. Is 6" in diameter, stands on a 3 5/8" base and weighs 1 pound 14 ounces. My antique dealer authenticates this as genuine Art Deco dating to the 1920's or 30's. Beautiful Bohemian Cranberry Glass - Ornate Gilt & Enamel Compote With Lid
This glass compote was produced in Europe by a Bohemian glass manufacturer in the late 19th century. There is no marking. The height of the entire piece. Including the finial on top of the lid is approximately 10” The circumference of the bowl is 15 ¾” inches, diameter approximately 5 ½” The hand blown glass has a lead content and rings when tapped. The bowl and lid are both deep cranberry. The foot is clear with a very light band of gilding around the middle of the stem and a heavy band of gilding around the outside edge of the base(this has one slight scratch) There is a band of gold around the top of the compote, which shows only very slight wear on the very edge. The rim of the lid and the rounded edge of the compote have matching wide bands of glossy gilding with incised“flourish” pattern. This incising is in good condition, ... morewith 3 wear marks on the edge of the lid. There is ornate raised matching gilding on the compote and lid which show no wear. Matching Pattern matte gilding and hand enameled flowers on both parts of the piece show almost no wear. Likewise, the glossy gilding on the lid’s finial is in perfect condition. IT HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION FOR SEVENTY YEARS. IT HAS SOME SCRATCHES,CHIPS AND BUBBLES IN THE GLASS, WHICH IS TYPICAL OF HAND-BLOWN PIECES OF THIS AGE. WHILE IN MY POSSESSION IT HAS BEEN USED SOLELY AS A DISPLAY ITEM. MOLDED GLASS COMPOTE WITH LID AND PRISMS ON MARBLE BASE
This is a pretty molded glass compote with lid and teardrop shaped glass prisms mounted on a marble base. There is no maker's mark; age unknown. The compote is in excellent condition: no cracks. Chips, or breaks. The inside appears smooth as if not used. All teardrop shaped glass prisms are intact. The compote stands approximately 11" tall with lid. Is 5 3/4" in diameter at opening, and 4" in diameter at base. It has 8 teardrop shaped glass prisms. PLEASE EXAMINE ALL PICTURES CAREFULLY; IF YOU SHOULD HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.
