We are pleased to offer a vintage Dakota glass jar with a round bulbous body on a pedestal. This is the large hard to find size standing 14 1/4" H. We could find no flaws in the glass on any part of this jar including the lid and base. The glass is clear and bright and shows no cloudiness. The rim of the lid and jar are not ground but clear glass. This item is quite heavy and will be double boxed for safe arrival. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii or internationally.

VINTAGE JAR KNOX MASON QUART WITH METAL LID LINED WITH BOYD'S PORCELAIN CAP
Up for bid is a great collectible quart jar with wire and glass lid Embossed with" KNOX MASON" and a large K in the center. Underneath is stamped the number 10. This bottle is in very good condition showing several tiny bumps in the old irregular glass. There are 2 almost unnoticeable seams in this square jar. The lid is metal(probably zinc) lined with a white porcelain cap embossed with"7" in the center and around the edge"BOYD'S GENUINE PORCELAIN LINED CAP 182" There are no cracks or chips. The beautiful collectible bottle has been carefully preserved. I have 2 other vintage bottles listed and am happy to combine shipping.

Antique 11" Apothecary Jar/Bottle cylindrical/cork seal on glass stopper
This is a turn of the century apothecary jar which is 11" tall including the stopper and 4 3/4" in diameter with 3 1/4" stopper. Jar is heavy and sides are sturdy and thick with side marks as if made as"pressed glass" or in a mold' Stopper is interesting 1" thick and 3 1/4" in diameter There is an indented part on top of the stopper 1/4" deep and1 5/8" across. The plug part is 2 1/2" across and about 1/2" deep with a large indent also 1/2" in and 1 1/2" across. Around the edge of the plug/stopper part ther is a thin ring of cork which must have been glued on and there is about 1/4" part missing. Outside of jar has remnents of a label. C.F. Monroe Wavecrest Biscuit/Cracker Jar with Lid (1890s)
As a senior citizen it is now time for me to downsize and let go of old treasures- this belonged to my mother who was the best biscuit maker on the planet(or at least in SC) This is a lovely antique art glass cookie or biscuit jar that dates from the late 1890s- 1910 or so. CF Monroe referred to this design as"Billow Ware" in its early catalogues; it is now more commonly referred to as"egg crate. This particular style is unique to CFM. Although the company purchased its blanks from other manufacturers, notably Mt Washington-Pairpoint. The biscuit jar is unsigned; many of the company's earlier pieces were NOT signed. The jar is PERFECT! There are no chips. Cracks, or repairs and the lid sits solidly on the top(no bending) The top of the silver rim of the jar has wear and surface scratching due to age. This is a n antique Sellers Hoosier Glass jar with lid and stand. There is a raised"S" on each face and nice ribbing on the sides. There is so me minor wear along the inside of the rim of the mouth as would be expected. But otherwise the glass is perfect. The stand and lid are patinated as would be expected. ANTIQUE PANEL CUT GLASS POWDER / DRESSER JAR - STERLING LID MONOGRAM “FMC”
This elegant powder jar has a tapered panel cut glass body topped by a sterling silver domed lid. The center of the lid is monogrammed“FMc” in elaborate script. To the very edge if the rim is stamped“STERLING” The lid’s interior is gold washed. Please see photos. The powder jar measures 4 ¼” tall(to top of domed lid) X 2 ¼” bottom diameter) The jar is in very good used antique condition. With one small chip to the bottom rim, and roughness and discoloration to the hand ground neck(which appears to have had a cork or fabric strip surrounding the outside) This strip would have held the lid tightly. And it is currently ever so slightly loose. The domed lid is unadorned but for the monogram. And has two small dimples to the top. Milk Glass Vanity Jar and Toothpick Holder A very lovely milk glass vanity jar in the"Ray End" pattern most likely by Dithridge. The small toothpick holder is also of the same era. Made of milk glass with a daisy flower pattern. The golden color applied to the raised design pattern shows signs of wear but, for the most part, these pieces are free from cracks or chips. I have not cleaned them other than a light cloth so some of the dirt remains from their original owner. Please see photos of the jar lid and top where a few rough edges are evident. The Dithridge& Company glass manufacturers made this type of transluscent white glass with embossed decoration in the early 1900's. The opal-like edges are beautiful when held up to the light. The jar was perhaps used to hold sweetmeats or other foods. The sides of the jar are decorated with a nice diamond-cut pattern and vertical cuts. The lid is in the form of a wide-brimmed hat with a pretty cut glass ball at the top. The jar has a polished pontil on the bottom. There is wear to the bottom of the jar. As can be expected of such antique cut glass. This piece was made between 1775 and the 1820s. The condition is excellent. The lid is in fabulous shape. The jar is in great shape as well. There are a few minor fleabites and flakes here and there to the jar. Especially to the teeth. None of them are very visible. The bottom of the jar has a ... morefew swirled air bubbles in it. This is not a defect, but an interesting peek into the Anglo-Irish glass craft. There are no breaks, no cracks, no chips and no repairs. This is a very beautiful jar! The gold lid has a richness from the gold filling. It is possibly a powder Jar. It measures 3 7/8" tall. Approx. 4" across, is 11 1/2" in circumference at its widest point. The heavy lead crystal bottom has approx. 30 very deep wedge cuts all around. The high points of these cuts are also cut many times on each wedge. The bottom is cut in deep cuts to make rays in a circle. There are no chips, or cracks in the glass at all. The lid fits securely and is gold filled and marked as that. It has a Fleur-De-Lis that is raised and edged in beautiful gold work-swirls and filled ... morewith enameling of green and white. That is surrounded by raised gold work containing purple stones(missing 1 of the smaller stones) There are larger and smaller stones. There are kind of bee-shaped forms in a circle that alternate with the stones. The colors in the bee shapes are separated by tiny gold beading and filled with enameling. The colors used in the bee shapes are blue, white, red and dark blue-each color held in tiny gold beading as in cloissone! There is 1 tiny indent at the side of the lid and the one missing small stone. Everything else is just perfect! The stone and the dent are so small as to be hardly noticeable. TYPE: cracker jar COLOR: yellow. Pink and green FEATURES: Smith Brothers glass was made after 1878. Alfred and Harry Smith had worked for the Mt. Washington Glass Company in New Bedford. Massachusetts, for seven years before going into their own shop. They made many pieces with enamel decoration. Most pieces in this category are from the 1880s to 1900. Glass coloration includes a medium yellow with graduation into white. This features blooming dogwoods with handpainted enamel raised accents, ornate swirling pattern lid with distinct finial.
