This is an awesome matching pair of antique brass. Cut leaded crystal& marble compotes, each featuring a cherub/angel riding a dolphin. On top of a square carrera marble base. Both pieces are in very good condition for their age. The total height of each piece is 7 1/2" The bowl has a 5 1/2" diameter. The marble base is 4" squared. The bowl is cut with a wonderful scalloped edge cut in semicircles on the outside. There is a lightly cut lotus looking blossoms design around the bowl and in between the 4 draped panels with a cut diamond design. The stem is a lovely sculptured nude lady with a robe draped over one leg. She holds the bowl in one hand on her head. The base is cicular with a starburst design on underneath. The compote measures about 12 1/2" tall ... moreand 8" wide across the top rim. The base measures about 4 1/2" wide. It has a silver and blue label on the base which reads 24% pbo which I believe means lead crystal.It also has what looks like" roct 30407-96" on the label. There is also a worn blue and silver label on the bowl but I can't read the characters as they are foreign. Possibly Slovakian, Czech or Russian although I can't be sure. There is a bird with an open wing on it with the number 1756r The bowl was purchased at an antique dealer's estate sale but I was unable to learn much about it. It is in very good condition. I can see no chips on the rim but see a few light scratches which are very minor. This is a lovely tall Art Deco style compote. Thanks for looking. The pictures do not do this piece justice. This is a stunning crystal cut glass with gold highlights compote. This starburst pattern cut crystal glass has an amazing amount of gold on this compote bowl. The bowl has a lovely floral gilted brass center screw. Between the beautiful bowl and the glass stem is a wonderful gilted brass leaf pattern that the prisms hang from. The stem of the piece is a solid diamond shape glass. The prisms on this antique compote picks up great color. The brass ornate filigree pattern and marble base is a beautiful addition to this stunning compote. When this piece is in the light the gold just catches the eye. The antique compote measures 8" tall and the cut crystal gold highlighted bowl measures 8 1/2 across x 4 1/2" deep. Is adorned with beautiful cut flowers, and the detail is stunning. This is a heavy piece. It's sure to be a wonderful conversation piece. Compote does have original sticker. Note- I am going through a lot of my grandmothers crystal. I came across this lovely compote that was given to her by my grandfather. When they were stationed in Germany. Just so you know. I did wipe it down once but it will need a deeper cleaning. The pattern has flowers that feel etched out, the diamonds with star and waffle patterns have pressed leaf spikes going up above it and are in between the 4 flowers. There is a saw tooth rim around the top. It has a nice heavy weight to it at 5 lbs. 9 oz. without packing materials so I'll list it as USPS Parcel Post to save money on shipping. Vintage Bohemian Style Cut Crystal Gilded Footed Compote w/ Cover
This Beautiful footed compote is a great piece of crystal. It is gilt over most of it's surface and what isn't covered in gold has a leaf pattern cut into it. It is hard to believe that something this beautiful is unmarked. The bowl is 3 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" across. When you put the cover on. It rises to 6 1/4" in height. I am unsure of it's age since there are no markings but if forced to guess, I would believe it was from the pre-twenties. Some of the gilding is starting to show wear- probably due to enthusiastic cleaning. Please check out the photos for detail.

Up for your consideration is a stunning Antique Cut crystal glass footed compote. It is absolutely beautiful with crystal prism teardrops that hang on a bronze or brass petal stem. It looks like the Victorian or Art Nouveau era. The compote is is very nice condition with no chips or cracks. Underneath the base shows some patina loss under the feet with the number 1031. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" across glass bowl rim. The base measures 3 1/2" across the feet. The bowl moves in circular fashion. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE CUT BLOCK EAPG (?) CRYSTAL Glass COMPOTE candy dish with LID
I wish I could tell you exact information on this compote but I cannot. An antiques expert told me it is called Cut Block but there are no markings on it. It is 9" tall with the lid and 6" tall without the lid. The lid is curved to match the curves on the base of the compote and it fits into these curves perfectly. The base is scalloped. The stem of the base has a drape pattern and you can see the inside of the stem which resembles a blown bubble- but is simply the inside of the stem. My mother has this exact compote but in a 12" tall size that she has had for more than 50 years. She bought hers originally in an antique shop. this compote has no damage and very little wear on the bottom so it may have been stored in a china cabinet. The glass is very clear.

Antique Bohemian cut crystal floral tazza compote Moser
This lead crystal compote or tazza is 8 3/8 inches tall and 6 ¼ inches in diameter on the top. The tazza is wheel cut on the underside and gilded in a floral pattern. There are cut facets on the bottom that have been gilded. It is superb work. It is hand blown. The piece dates to the late 19 th or early 20 th century. It is unsigned but was made by Moser or another top quality maker. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs but there is a wear to the gilding on the top edge and to the strip near the bottom.

It also features an elaborate cut design and sawtooth style rim. It has a fantastic ring to the bowl and I believe it may be German crystal. This compote has a marble and antique gold metal base and also features 4 teardrop prisms that hang from a metal leafy style piece that is mounted right under the bowl. The stem of the compote has a faceted crystal piece with a partial label that says crystal cut but rest is unreadable. This stands about 11" for total height and the bowl is about 8 1/2" in diameter. It is in very good shape. I do feel a couple of small rough areas around the inside ... moretop area of the teeth but could not see any chips but is more like a rough inside edge to the teeth from time of manufacture. These are very popular right now for decorating and bring back some great memories of something mom may have had in the 60's or 70's era. Great for use with fruit or flowers.
