Vernon Silversmiths in their elegant Pompeiian pattern. Which began production in 1912. The dish is beautifully hand chased with leafy swags. The dish has a cast and applied rim with a stylized wave pattern. On either side of the dish is an applied plaque in 14 karat gold, depicting four winged cupids going about their heavenly appointed duties. The center of the dish has a monogram of MCS in flowing script. This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the designs. Particularly the scenes in gold, are nice and crisp. There may have been a couple of dents professionally removed, but nothing strongly noticeable. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no solder repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped with the maker's mark for Vernon Silversmiths. As well as the retail mark for Brand-Chatillon Co, sterling, and the name of the pattern, Pompeiian. This starburst pattern cut crystal glass has an amazing amount of gold on this compote bowl. The bowl has a lovely floral gilted brass center screw. Between the beautiful bowl and the glass stem is a wonderful gilted brass leaf pattern that the prisms hang from. The stem of the piece is a solid diamond shape glass. The prisms on this antique compote picks up great color. The brass ornate filigree pattern and marble base is a beautiful addition to this stunning compote. When this piece is in the light the gold just catches the eye. The antique compote measures 8" tall and the cut crystal gold highlighted bowl measures 8 1/2 across x 4 1/2" deep. Stem, finial and decorations to rims are clear and hand applied. No makers marks or dates. Stands almost 11 inches tall and is about 5.75 inches in diameter at the widest part. Very unique. This is a beautiful antique gold gilded brass Eagles footed art glass pedestal compote or urn or vase. Including the Eagles. It measures 9 1/4 inches tall(23.5 cm) Without the Eagles, it measures 8 3/4 inches tall(22.2 cm) The glass section measures 4 1/2 inches tall(11.4 cm) The bottom brass part also measures 4 1/2 inches tall(11.4 cm) The top opening is 3 1/4 inches wide(8.3 cm) Measuring from one corner of a foot to another corner of a foot it's 3 5/8 inches wide(9.3 cm) The glass is frosted and has great-looking tiny ovals all over. I don't know how this effect was created. The handles are highly detailed Eagle heads. The base has beautiful detail also. Including the 4 feet. I don't think it's bronze because it's not heavy enough. So it must be brass. But the intricate detail is wonderful. The rim around the top of ... morethe frosted glass has a very slight bend in it(please see photo) There is a slight chip when you take it apart where the brass meets the glass. But it's inside and doesn't show when you screw the little piece of brass back that connects the base with the glass(please see photo) There is also a small chip where the top of the glass meets the brass. But it's on the inside. However. You can see it if you look at it from a certain angle(please see photo) It has a great old rich patina to it. Surprisingly. It's not marked with a company name. Beautiful rare fruit pedestal metal fruit compote/bowl marked GIM3177 on bottom. Bowl stands approx 6 1/2" high and 9 1/2" diameter. I am not sure what the metal is. It is goldtone or maybe gold plated? The bottom stand looks like brass with a marble look above. The leaves flair out from the bowl to give it a rare Italian or Victorian look. A beautiful antique vaseline art glass compote bowl with a figural silver plate cherub stem and base. Note cut scalloped rim. Applied accents, gold gilding and the satin finish to the vaseline bowl. The glass is a soft green clambroth color, satin exterior finish and smooth gloss finish interior. The scrolling gold gilding near the rim of the bowl can be felt in relief. The silverplate base has a gold gilded finish. This will glow under a black light as it was made with uranium. The bowl is removable for shipping. No marking, dates to the late 1800’s– early 1900’s. Stunning cut crystal and ormolu covered compote I believe is from Germany or Italy. The cutting is very elaborate and the base is quite ornate. It is larger than the photos would make it appear. Antique & Unique Hollywood Regency Crystal & Metal Gold Tone Compote w/Prisms
This is an unusual and unique Antique Hollywood Regency Crystal and Metal Compote with 8 Tear Drop Prisms. It is 13" tall with a cut crystal bowl that is 8" in diameter x 6" high. It is a replacement bowl from the original. However, very substantial with a 3/8th" thick crystal. The bowl has a feather like cut to it. The metal base is gold tone and stands 7" tall with a 6" square base of four"feet" There is some oxidation and wear on the base a seen in th photos. There is a bobeche of 16 leaves under the bowl which holds eight 2.5" long tear drop prisms. All in all a great piece! It is heavy and with be separated for safe shipping. Shipping includes insurance.

The panels are raised slightly from the body. It measures app. 8 3/8" tall and the same wide at the top. There are no chips or flea bites. No cracks or scratches. The gold design all over the piece does not show any wear. There is no wear to the gold bands around the top or bottom of the stem. There is some gold wear around the top rim which I have tried to show in the photos. It is a very clear shiny piece. There is still an old paper label on the bottom saying Pauly& Co with a number. It is a heavy piece weighing 2 lbs 10 oz. Please check the photos carefully and ask any questions.

Compote measures about 5 1/2" tall and about 6 1/8" diameter at the top. It is in excellent condition overall. There are a few chips to the underside edge of the rim. None of which is noticeable with normal viewing. The largest measures about 1/4" by 1/4" There is an enclosed bubble on the interior which has a grayish appearance, done in the making. There is some wear to gold decoration but it still looks very nice overall. There is an enclosed bubble visible on the underside of the base as well as ... morea few minor pits, all in the making. I don't see any maker's mark. Possibly Bohemian. Definitely 19th century. A fine piece. NO RESERVE. Please use shipping calculator to determine shipping cost to your address.
