ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I do not know if it is glass or crystal. It does have a beautiful"ping" to it when tapped. It measures 8" tall. Marble base is 5" in diameter. Compote is 7" in diameter& 2" tall& has several"U" shaped cutouts. Crystal/glass is 3/4" thick at the thickest part. It is very heavy. Weighing 5 lbs 9 oz. Metal pedestal has a beautiful brass finish. There are 7 teardrop prisms. Overall it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The crystal bowl is attached to a non magnetic metal foot that has 7 glass prism drops hanging from it. The bowl is pressed glass. I do not see any obvious flaws in the glass but have not gone over it with a magnifying glass. This piece stands 9 1/4 inches tall and is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. It is heavy. This is stunning very large cranberry epergne/compote with a silver/silverplated heavy ornate base. This is a late 1800's early 1900's with 3 cranberry bowl's that are etched with a lovely wedding scroll design. The piece measures 17" tall x 15" wide. The small bowl's measure 3" tall x 6 1/2" wide. The large center bowl measures 9 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall. The base measures 13" tall x 13" wide. I see no chips or cracks in the bowls has some edge ware on the larger bowl. The base I am unclear on has it could be silver or silverplated can't find any marking's. Needs polishing should clean up really well. This is one amazing antique piece. I have owned this piece for the 22 years and it has been housed a curio cabinet.

So age& history are unknown, though they look to be quite old. I do not know if the bowls are cut glass or crystal, but they are lovely& refract light beautifully. They also have a beautiful ringtone when tapped. The cast metal pedestals are very ornate and have the look of aged brass. Each one has 7 teardrop crystal prisms. A person had an identical one and this is what he wrote on his" There was a magazine article stuck inside dated July 1994. The article talks about this type of item. This chalice music box is also a covered candy dish. Probably dating from 1915-1925. The metal is probably spelter or other white metal. And the article also stated it probably originated in Czechoslovakia or in one of the countries of Western Europe" PNCW Pewter Cobalt Glass Urn Chalice Cup Compote This is very rare and detailed ornate compote/urn from the 1920's signed PNCW. Made is USA. The cobalt blue glass cup insert is is held by a antiqued gold looking metal. The metal work has a ornate ... morefruit and leaf theme. P.N.C.W. PNCW stands for Progress Novelty Casting Works who were famous for their plating after which they lacquered the castings to prevent tarnishing. THEY ALSO DID THE CASTING FOR MUSIC BOXES. It is approximately 8 1/2 inches tall. We are not certain that the metal is all pewter. Possible smelter. It looks like the heavily decorated exterior might be separate sheaths of metal, attached in panels by the thin bands that are shown in the photo of the lid. Some of the surface shows vestiges of a yellowy color which makes us wonder if the decorated surface is brass. The underside of the lid is quite smooth and silvery gray. The finial is hollow. We did not attempt to clean or polish the metal. It looks like the finial was added after as there appears something that makes it look added after the casting. The cobalt blue glass insert is in perfect condition. We am clueless as to how this decorative item was meant to be used. The bottom is marked P.N.C.W. Made in U.S.A. This is a Heavy and Beautiful Candy Dish or Compote. It is made of thick press/cut glass with brilliant pattern of double star or arches. The Metal is casted really thick and has a nice antique but shiny look. It appears to be brass as best as I can describe the color. It is very heavy and thick. the base is lush and scrolling with 4 feet and pedestal design. the glass bowl is held on by a ornate brass fitting and the lid has a matching finial knob that looks like a pine cone or an artichoke. stands 10" tall. 6.5" wide at base and bowl is 6" wide. With crimped rim and clear satin edge; set on a stunning base with finely detailed floral decoration, cast in what looks like brass metal. Victorian Bristol Hand Painted Birds Opaline Glass Bowl Mounted on Metal
Up for sale is a beautiful. Metal mounted(maybe it's brass? hand painted Bristol glass bowl. It is chip and crack free and in overall excellent condition. There is very light paint loss and one foot is, literally, a centimeter off, so it doesn't sit perfectly flat on the table surface. It measures a little under 6" tall and 7" wide. It is a beautiful, unique piece!

Antique Glass Compote w/Metal Pedestal & Serpent Dragon Handles
This is a very old fluted glass compote with schalloped edge that is mounted on a brass colored metal base and decorated with serpent-like metal handles. There is no indication on the dish as to where it was made. Who made it, or what the metal material is. It was given to my mother in the 1950's by a very wealthy lady whom she worked for. It looked old then, but I have no other information about the compote. It always sat on our dining room buffet and usually held artificial fruit. The compote dish itself can be removed from the base by unscrewing the knob in the center of the bowl. There are no chips or cracks in the heavy glass. One of the serpent head handles is cracked(pictured) and has a slight bend at the top. There are some small paint chips located on the lower part of one of the serpent handles and by his mouth. The compote ... morebowl is an oval shape that measures 9 1/2 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide. It is a little over 6 inches to the top edge of the bowl. The over-all height including the handles is 8 inches and over-all length is 13 inches.

I do not know if the bowl is cut glass or crystal, but it is lovely& refracts light beautifully. It also has a beautiful ringtone when tapped. The cast metal pedestal is very ornate and has the look of aged brass. The pedestal sits atop an Italian marble base and has 7 teardrop crystal prisms. It measures 9-3/4" tall. Vintage Embossed Clear Glass Pedestal Compote Dish with Metal Base GIM#3027 In EXCELLENT CONDITION! No cracks. Chips or anything of this nature! This piece is large enough to be used as a fruit bowl and small enough to fill with candies or nuts without looking out of place. The top rim is smooth as well as the interior. The exterior is embossed with pretty designs that reflect the light and colors of anything added beautifully although I do not believe this is crystal. I am fairly certain it is pressed glass. The interior bottom has a flat head screw that tightens the metal base to the glass. The ornate base appears to have a brass finish. It measures about 12" high to top of finial(7-1/2" to rim) The diameter is about 7-1/2" at the metal rim. The pressed glass is nice and clear. The metal shows overall wear to finish to give it a natural"shabby" look. The ormolu surrounding the finial has com unglued but sits snugly as it was made to settle into the design of the top. A bit of glue would re-affix it. The metal on the inside of the glass bowl shows some verdigris and wear. But is solid. The base is marked"Marble base made in Italy" A very solid and heavy piece. Estate sale. This is a Vintage Amber bowl on a pedestal of brass and marble. It measures just under 11" tall and approximately 9" across the bowl. The brass base shows 4 decorative scrolled feet resting on a 4"x4" 3/4" thick marble base. It could easily be made into a lamp or just displayed in you Traditional Victorian decor' There are 5-3" including hook) double bobble prisms hanging from the brass cleats. 2 are missing and the piece is loose but can be easily tightened. I don't want to try& tighten w/out proper tools. It's a 1930-1950's circa piece and there are NO cracks or chips. The inside of the bowl shows some aging considering how old the piece is. For your consideration a Vintage Green Glass& Metal Pedestal Compote with Green Teardrop Prisms from a Smoke Free Home. The approximately 4" base appears to be marble. The curved green glass compote is approximately 10.5" across with a nice dotted bubble pattern in the middle accented with the decorative floral design center. The green compote appears more olive in color while the 7 teardrop shaped prisms are more lime green in color. The use of the 2 different shades of green are what I think makes this a striking piece. Antique Vintage Compote Glass Metal Cherub Fish Marble Base Centerpiece
I have for auction a vintage/antique compote. 5" across. 7" tall. The base is marble with a metal cherub posing on a fish. I do not know what the metal is but a magnet does not stick to it. It is in 2 pieces riveted together. You can see the rivets on the back side. The dish attached to the top is clear glass. I do not feel any chips to the glass. The marble base has a few very small chips or roughness. The metal disk that holds the glass top is discolored. She sweet little cherub needs to be cleaned but I do consider the compote to be in very good vintage condition. PLEASE view the photos as they are an important part of the description. Moser Signed Green Glass Compote with Gold Leaf and Caste Metal Pedestal
This beautiful compote is beautiful bohemian compote is both rare and exceptional; I've not found one like it sold in any action prior. It is signed by Moser. Visible without a loupe, and it is believed that only the original Moser, Ludwig Moser, the father of sons that would carry on the tradition actually signed his pieces; in addition, the design is from Moser Sr.s era. It was appraised at $800-$1200. I am setting my opening bid on the low end. So collectors are getting a bargain; if you are a reseller, not so much. The opening bid is $645.
