This beautiful early pattern glass footed dish has beautiful crisp sparkling details. Scalloped top edges, and a footed base. It was produced in 1907 by John B. Higbee, and is referred to as the Rexford pattern, but is also known as Alfa, Euclid, and Boylan. This pattern was also produced by New Martinsville Glass Co. in 1919, and was called No. 21. The bowl is cut with a wonderful scalloped edge cut in semicircles on the outside. There is a lightly cut lotus looking blossoms design around the bowl and in between the 4 draped panels with a cut diamond design. The stem is a lovely sculptured nude lady with a robe draped over one leg. She holds the bowl in one hand on her head. The base is cicular with a starburst design on underneath. The compote measures about 12 1/2" tall ... moreand 8" wide across the top rim. The base measures about 4 1/2" wide. It has a silver and blue label on the base which reads 24% pbo which I believe means lead crystal.It also has what looks like" roct 30407-96" on the label. There is also a worn blue and silver label on the bowl but I can't read the characters as they are foreign. Possibly Slovakian, Czech or Russian although I can't be sure. There is a bird with an open wing on it with the number 1756r The bowl was purchased at an antique dealer's estate sale but I was unable to learn much about it. It is in very good condition. Vintage Mid Century~ Beautiful Crystal Compote with Painted Brass Pedestal and Black Marble Base Dish has a diamond shaped pattern with a cut notched edge~ it's so clear and refracts the light so nicely! The pedestal is a antique gold tone and cream color painted brass scroll and tear drop shapes. exquisite! The paint looks like it was done purposely to be a bit distressed. The base is a solid block of black marble with a golden brown grain running through it. I am guessing(although I do not know the exact age) that this piece is from about the 1960s. One scuff in the paint that can be seen in picture# 4. On the section just underneath the bowl. Otherwise flawless. No chips, scratches or cracks at all in the glass. 19th Century French Crystal & Bronze Pedestal Compote
Check out my! 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false What a beautiful piece. The bowl of the compote is frosted crystal in a pleated glass. Trimmed on top in a gilt bronze. Attached at either end are rococo design handles. Edging the top of the bowl is a looped garland of gilded roses. The inside center of the bowl is painted in a 24k gold tulip design. The bowl sits on a ½ ring of rococo guilding. The base of the dish is painted in a 24k gold design. This compote is in very good condition. There is a tiny nick on the edge of the base. The compote measures 7in in diam. across the bowl x 7 1/2in tall x 4 1/2in in diam. across the base.

Vintage Bohemian Style Cut Crystal Gilded Footed Compote w/ Cover
This Beautiful footed compote is a great piece of crystal. It is gilt over most of it's surface and what isn't covered in gold has a leaf pattern cut into it. It is hard to believe that something this beautiful is unmarked. The bowl is 3 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" across. When you put the cover on. It rises to 6 1/4" in height. I am unsure of it's age since there are no markings but if forced to guess, I would believe it was from the pre-twenties. Some of the gilding is starting to show wear- probably due to enthusiastic cleaning. Please check out the photos for detail.

Vintage Footed Crystal Glass COMPOTE BOWL w Marble Base & 6 Prisms Candy Nuts

Offered is an elegant footed compote. I believe the bowl is leaded glass and I base this strictly on the sustained ringing tone when it is tapped. The composition of the hanging prisms is unknown. The base appears to be marble and is 5" square. The support is bronze in color and I don't know if it is solid or plated. The bowl is about 8 1/4" in diameter and has a"sawtooth" edge. I have felt around the various edges and facets without finding any obvious chips. But with so many edges I can't guarantee ... moreI didn't miss a"flea bite" The only things I found to make note of is one corner of the marble base has a slight rough edge, which could be a small chip(see photo) and the metal floral piece on the inside of the bowl is faded and may have been a brighter bronze originally, matching the support. Antique Cut Glass Centerpiece Compote Description: Elegant colourless crystal glass compote is a very large size. The bowl has oval cut punties. The stem is hollow with elongated oval cuts. As pics will show. The base is a clear disc with no cuts, but there is a unpolished pontil mark in center. Not marked. Could be from Pairpoint or other North American glass company. No visible chips or hairline breaks. Found one flea bite just below the rim for accuracy. Does not distract. There is a few light and minor surface scratches on the footed base. Antique Victorian very fancy silver plate 3 bowl compote or serving stand. Crystal bowls have a scalloped top rim and a leaf like cut design. The silver plate 3 legged stand is heavily decorated. Please zoom in on pictures to see the fantastic detail. There is not 1 inch on the stand that doesn't have scrolls. Flowers, fleur-de-lise. I can not find a makers mark. The 3 bowls can be unscrewed and removed. It needs to be polished. It is dark and the pictures do not do the stand justice. Measures approximately 10" in height. Each bowl measures 5 1/4" in diameter. The compote measures approximately 11" in width. Excellent condition. No nicks or chips on the crystal bowls. No damage of any type to the silverp plate. Up for auction is an outstanding lead crystal Georgian style pedestal bowl. We came across this compote while cleaning out our attic. We purchased this and others like it a number of years ago, it is an outstanding modern reproduction produced in Poland where the very best crystal is made today. For auction is this beautiful crystal lidded compote. It is signed HAWKES and etched with beautiful stars and star bursts. It is 8 1/2" tall and the opening is 5 3/4" diameter. It was a wedding gift in 1970 and we live in the Corning Steuben area. Beautiful piece in perfect condition.

Stunning~Beautiful~Elegant~OLD~ is just a few words that describe this Amber Flash Daisy Button Thumbprint Compote The Compote does have some roughness around each cut thumbprint panel. It is common with the eapg. However this compote. Edges by the panels seem more rough than normal. Here again, feel like maybe this was just the way they are made and someone was taking a short cut or did not finish smoothing the glass. I have several pieces of the EAPG listed and most of it. Is in really GOOD CONDITION ... morefor it's age. Looks to have been taken well care of and probably lived in a curio cabinet for many years. You may or may not find things such as a few bubbles in the glass. Roughness around edges or strawmarks. These, if found, are natural from the creation process. The EAPG pieces that I am listing are well over a 100 years old and I am sure if you look hard enough. You will find a few small area's where the yellow stain has flaked, or scratched. This is all very minor and there is not a area on any of the glass that I feel is bad enough to even try and get a picture of it. If this is a concern-please supersize the pictures. If there was to be any major damage on a piece, I will mention it. I do detect some roughness around the edges of the panneled thumbprint. Maybe some tiny flea bites or could just be the way they were made. Stunning~Beautiful~Elegant~OLD~ is just a few words that describe this Canary Yellow Daisy Button Thumbprint Compote The covered Compote does have a flaw that is not mentioned below. I am not real sure if it is a flaw or was made this way. I almost did not notice this. But once I did, it was easy to spot again. Inside the bowl there appears to be a wicked crack in the crystal. However I cannot feel this crack on the inside or outside ... moreof the compote. I really think it is, within the glass? It starts from one of the side thumbprint panels. THere are different cuts in the panels and it looks like this mentioned flaw starts in the same area where a cut was made to form the panels. I tried to show you in the pictures the flaw but it was real hard to get a good photo of the flaw. See pictures, 8& 9.
