Pedestal Crystal Compote on a brass cherub on a dolphin, hanging crystals
This auction is for an antique ornate. Brass, leaded crystal compote. It is in excellent pre-owned condition. All 10 tear drop crystals are there. This item's bowl measures 13 3/8" long by 6 1/4" wide. It stands 9 3/4" tall. The marble base is 4 1/2" squared. The cherub riding the dolphin stands 6 1/2" tall. The crystals total length is 2 1/2" the tear shaped is 1 1/2" This item could be used to hold real or fabricated fruit, or decorations or anything you might find pleasing to the eye. Looking at another item similar to this. It is hand cut crystal, in patterns of fans& stars. Marble from Italy. Made possibly in Germany. There are no markings or labels left on this item.

This is an awesome matching pair of antique brass. Cut leaded crystal& marble compotes, each featuring a cherub/angel riding a dolphin. On top of a square carrera marble base. Both pieces are in very good condition for their age. The total height of each piece is 7 1/2" The bowl has a 5 1/2" diameter. The marble base is 4" squared. Jamar Mallory Ceramic Studio Vintage Three Cherub Figural Compote With Silk Floral Arrangement Jamar Mallory Ceramic Studio Vintage Three Cherub Figural Compote With Silk Floral Arrangement This is what some call a"Figural Compote" This fine example was made by Jamar Mallory Ceramic Studio and is copyrighted 1963. As you can see there are three cherub-like figures holding up a scalloped bowl. The bowl is what was generally used to serve the compote or fruit/nut mixture that is believed to have originated in France. They believed. At the time, that the mixture of fruit and sugary syrup balanced the body's"humidity" Hence the name for this type of porcelain-ware. The top edge of the bowl is 13.5 inches above the table. The three cherubs are swathed in a pinkish robe and there are small pinkish flowers at three points ... moreof the base. On the bottom of the bowl is a small mold-defect(as seen in the picture) This is usually caused when the"slip" is poured into the mold and an air-bubble forms and cannot escape. The silk-flower floral arrangement IS included but can be removed easily if you want to go back and use this compote for its original purpose. Likely interwar(1919- 1940) period based on the look and the other stuff I found this with. This stands about 8 1/2" at its tallest. Top bowl is 10" diameter. Foot is 5 3/4" diameter. Weighs 3 lbs 3 oz before packaging for shipment. No noticeable cracks or chips. Wear to figures. They are brass colored. Could be hollow brass, or plated, I am not sure. Large Elegant Antique Crystal Bowl Compote On 3-Cherub Goldtone Pedestal Base
This listing is for a LOVELY. Large Elegant Antique Crystal Compote/ Bowl Attached To A 3-Cherub Goldtone Metal Pedestal Base. I can feel only a couple(not visible- at least not without very close, intense scrutiny) of'rough' areas on exterior of crystal bowl, otherwise crystal is beautiful(and this is crystal.with a very pretty'ting' to it when tapped lightly with your fingernail) There is significant lime/calcium buildup on metal cherub pedestal which I would think could be cleaned up with some Limeaway and a good deal of effort. There is a little bit of'play' between the crystal bowl and the pedestal. I've tried to show this in the last 2 photos.photo 11 is with the pedestal resting on the crystal bowl.photo 12 shows the pedestal lifted from the bowl so you can see the play. This does not impact the sturdiness ... moreof the bowl on the stand whatsoever.and this play could perhaps be eliminated through tightening by someone who knew what they were doing. It is large and heavy. A true centerpiece, it measures about 10 1/2" across by about 4 1/2" deep. Altogether, it measures about 12 1/2" high. It will ship between 11 and 12 pounds. When I rescued this from an attic. The crystal was splattered with paint and it was filthy. I tried to clean it, but simply did not have the time to try and remove the lime and or calcium deposits. I was told by the family that it likely came from Europe when their grandparents immigrated to the United States in the early 1900's. I have no way to validate that information, however, so I am simply listing it as age unknown. I can find no maker's mark. This Big Beautiful Ceramic Figural Compote Is in EXCELLENT Condition. The compote is very detailed in floral work and gold. It is about 11.25" tall and the bowl is over 10" wide. Ivory in color with heavy detail of swags and 2 cherubs. I purchased it at an estate about 17 years ago. But have been unable to make sense of the partially stamped maker's mark. I can read Ceramica, but the mark did not take on one side, so I don't know what else it may have said and cannot read the other words either. This is a BEAUTIFUL LARGE ABP cut glass compote with saw tooth rim. The base is beautifully adorned with cherubs. The compote is very elegant and quite heavy. Looks stunning displayed with other cut glass pieces or antiques. Quite a beauty that was purchased from a prominent Florida estate. A beautiful antique vaseline art glass compote bowl with a figural silver plate cherub stem and base. Note cut scalloped rim. Applied accents, gold gilding and the satin finish to the vaseline bowl. The glass is a soft green clambroth color, satin exterior finish and smooth gloss finish interior. The scrolling gold gilding near the rim of the bowl can be felt in relief. The silverplate base has a gold gilded finish. This will glow under a black light as it was made with uranium. The bowl is removable for shipping. No marking, dates to the late 1800’s– early 1900’s. Measures a full 8 3/4 inches tall. The bowl measures 3 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches in diameter and 3/16 inch mounting hole. The base measures 5 inches tall, 2 1/4 inch square and the plateau 1 5/8 inch in diameter. Condition is great as there are NO chips. This beautiful vintage Cherub centerpiece is 10" tall.the fillable part of the bowl is 2 1/4" deep and has a 7" diameter. The prisms are new. Not original.but look great and are easy enough to replace with the vintage ones if you prefer. The Candle Stick Holders are 9.5" tall and have are just shy of 4" across the base. Offered is a lovely large bisque cherub compote. I am guessing that it is either from Italy or Japan around the 1960's. There is no mark or label to be certain. It is white, has 3 cherubs, one holding wheat and a sickle, one holding fruit, and one holding a bird. It is in excellent condition, I do not see any chips or repairs. I have for auction a vintage/antique compote. 5" across. 7" tall. The base is marble with a metal cherub posing on a fish. I do not know what the metal is but a magnet does not stick to it. It is in 2 pieces riveted together. You can see the rivets on the back side. The dish attached to the top is clear glass. I do not feel any chips to the glass. The marble base has a few very small chips or roughness. The metal disk that holds the glass top is discolored.
