I'm not sure of the maker in this case.I'd love to hear from you if you know. Please be aware that the compote does have some sun purpling to it.I don't think that the pictures showed it very well. Some people like the look of sun purple/some don't. I think that this piece looks very pretty with a hint of it. Overall condition is great with no chips or cracks to make note of. Upon close inspection you will notice several small nibbles to the edges as is expected on glass of this age.Very minor but I prefer to make note. This was a beautiful estate sale find. Pressed glass pinwheel style with two matching candle holders. Each piece has eight sets of teardrop prisms except the bowl. It's missing one set. But they seem to be easy enough to find. I haven't done anything to them but take their pictures. The bowl stands 9 1/4" tall and 8 1/4" wide. The candle holders are 8" tall and 5" wide. They have no chips or cracks that I could find. With a little TLC these beauties can be the centerpiece of your home. According to a friend who is an appraiser for an auction house. This piece is probably from the 1880s, maybe early 1890s. The piece is large, standing 12.5" tall to the top of the finial on the lid, and weighs about 5.5 pounds. without the lid, the dish is about 8.5" tall, 9.5" wide and 7.25" deep(last 2 measurements taken at the top of the dish) There are etched leaf decorations in 4 locations on the dish. The pictures are taken of all 4 sides, then the top, then the bottom. This item is being sold"as is" The condition of the piece is very good plus to excellent. With no chips or cracks I can see or feel. There are a few very small bubbles/imperfections ... morein the glass(so small. Antique Ancient Greek Style Pressed Glass Compote
Up for auction is a nice little compote stylized with ancient Greek images. It is pressed glass and I believe from the early 1900s. The only issue with this piece is that during manufacturing that a bubble close to the surface on the base had only thin glass which over time broken away. See picture 3. Other than that there are great bubbles throughout giving it a nice look and appeal. See pictures for more. I always try to combine shipping when possible.

Vintage Pressed Lead Crystal Glass Compote
This beautiful piece has absolutely no damage of any kind. No scratches. Chips, breaks or repairs. It is 9 3/4" tall and the compote opening is 8" It is a lead crystal three part mold, with an extraordinary finish. The mold seams have no feel to them. There is an etched 6 part design around compote in a floral design, surrounded by leaves. There are 8 crystal prisms hanging with a marble base. I believe the metal work is brass or bronze. I cant' be sure which. This is a truly beautiful piece. Every one of the notches on the rim of the compote have been beautifully smoothed and have no rough edges.

COVERED VASELINE GLASS COMPOTE WITH LID - PRESSED GLASS - PERFECT CONDITION
This beautiful small compost is in perfect condition. It is the Vaseline color of old pressed glass probably made in the 1960s. Would be my guess. Strictly a guess) I know I have had it for at least 40 years or so. Up to the decorative point on top is 7 1/2" tall. It is 5" in diameter at the middle. It is VERY heavy glass. I don't remember what the pressed glass pattern is, as I never collected much glassware, but it is pretty. As I said, also in fine shape. The top lip of the compote and the bottom lip of the lid has a beading on the edge, I guess to make it fit together more securely. Not much else to say, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Antique Pressed Glass Large Open Compote in Hairpin Pattern,circa 1860
A fine mid nineteenth century pressed glass compote of large size and brilliant flint.Pressed in an early colonial pattern from the Boston and Sandwich Glass factory known as Hairpin,a pattern first produced about the year 1850.A true open compote standing 9 inches high with a bowl diameter of 10 inches.The glass is brilliant and has fine resonance when struck.I found this compote stuck within a secret hiding spot amid the floor support logs over my head while in the basement of this old place along with an early teapot,pewter flatware,early sewing items such as a whimsical pincushion on a Pittsburgh glass base and plenty of old documents.No money though,dagnabbit!Why such things were there is beyond me,but at least they all date to the beginnings of this place around 1850,which is neat.I purchased the house contents and all and am still ... morefinding hidden treasures all of the time in the attic,the basement and the walls! 2 small dings/chips to the fluted patterned outside of the bowl.Other than this the compote is in excellent condition.Hairpin was one of the early patterns in glass produced at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Factory in New England.This large open compote is a fine example and one probably either used or sold right within this old circa 1850 general store back in the days before the Civil War.

Antique EAPG Pressed Glass Dessert Stand/ Cake Plate/ Raised Compote 4” high x 8” diameter 4” diameter foot Beautiful smaller antique dessert/appetizer stand/ cake plate in molded glass. The foot has an ogee profile resolving into a fluted columnar form with a faceted capital. The underside of the top is finely textured all over to refract the light. Molded into the underside is a botanical motif of leaves and flower buds. The top surface is smooth glass. The top has a lip around the perimeter to contain the contents. The plate is in very good condition with the exception of four hairline fractures in the lip and one at the top of the foot where it meets the stem(please see photos) These fractures do not compromise the structural integrity of the piece in any way.
