Pedestal Crystal Compote on a brass cherub on a dolphin, hanging crystals
This auction is for an antique ornate. Brass, leaded crystal compote. It is in excellent pre-owned condition. All 10 tear drop crystals are there. This item's bowl measures 13 3/8" long by 6 1/4" wide. It stands 9 3/4" tall. The marble base is 4 1/2" squared. The cherub riding the dolphin stands 6 1/2" tall. The crystals total length is 2 1/2" the tear shaped is 1 1/2" This item could be used to hold real or fabricated fruit, or decorations or anything you might find pleasing to the eye. Looking at another item similar to this. It is hand cut crystal, in patterns of fans& stars. Marble from Italy. Made possibly in Germany. There are no markings or labels left on this item.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I do not know if it is glass or crystal. It does have a beautiful"ping" to it when tapped. It measures 8" tall. Marble base is 5" in diameter. Compote is 7" in diameter& 2" tall& has several"U" shaped cutouts. Crystal/glass is 3/4" thick at the thickest part. It is very heavy. Weighing 5 lbs 9 oz. Metal pedestal has a beautiful brass finish. There are 7 teardrop prisms. Overall it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This is an awesome matching pair of antique brass. Cut leaded crystal& marble compotes, each featuring a cherub/angel riding a dolphin. On top of a square carrera marble base. Both pieces are in very good condition for their age. The total height of each piece is 7 1/2" The bowl has a 5 1/2" diameter. The marble base is 4" squared. Vintage BRASS PEDESTAL BASE with CUT CRYSTAL COMPOTE& 7 TEAR DROP CRYSTAL PRISMS WOW! Look at this. It's such a beautiful piece. The condition is really good, the brass shows slight wear from age. I did wipe it down once but it will need a deeper cleaning. The pattern has flowers that feel etched out, the diamonds with star and waffle patterns have pressed leaf spikes going up above it and are in between the 4 flowers. There is a saw tooth rim around the top. It has a nice heavy weight to it at 5 lbs. 9 oz. without packing materials so I'll list it as USPS Parcel Post to save money on shipping. Vintage Mid Century~ Beautiful Crystal Compote with Painted Brass Pedestal and Black Marble Base Dish has a diamond shaped pattern with a cut notched edge~ it's so clear and refracts the light so nicely! The pedestal is a antique gold tone and cream color painted brass scroll and tear drop shapes. exquisite! The paint looks like it was done purposely to be a bit distressed. The base is a solid block of black marble with a golden brown grain running through it. I am guessing(although I do not know the exact age) that this piece is from about the 1960s. ANTIQUE ITALIAN PRESSED GLASS MARBLE BASE COMPOTE BOWL 2 BRASS CANDLE STICKS
This was a beautiful estate sale find. Pressed glass pinwheel style with two matching candle holders. Each piece has eight sets of teardrop prisms except the bowl. It's missing one set. But they seem to be easy enough to find. I haven't done anything to them but take their pictures. The bowl stands 9 1/4" tall and 8 1/4" wide. The candle holders are 8" tall and 5" wide. They have no chips or cracks that I could find. With a little TLC these beauties can be the centerpiece of your home. Up for your consideration is a stunning Antique Cut crystal glass footed compote. It is absolutely beautiful with crystal prism teardrops that hang on a bronze or brass petal stem. It looks like the Victorian or Art Nouveau era. The compote is is very nice condition with no chips or cracks. Underneath the base shows some patina loss under the feet with the number 1031. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" across glass bowl rim. The base measures 3 1/2" across the feet. The bowl moves in circular fashion. Such a wonderful crystal compote which could be utilized as fruit bowl. Mantle decorations, table centerpiece and the list goes on. It is sold as is. Quite heavy too. Vintage Solid Brass Cast Compote Base with crystal prisms No bowl
Solid brass base for what is apparently a compote piece. I admit I am no expert. But ion looking at other listings, this fits the description. The base is in great vintage condition- the brass has the old patina. It is setup up for 10 double crystals. But two have been lost over the years, and it only bears 8. These crystals are pretty readily available, and if you need the two, my friend who is much more into these things has many crystals which would match. The base measures 7" high. And 5" in diameter. Weighs over 3 pounds. Includes the brass piece which would tighten down and hold the bowl. Through a central hole. Starting this at the scrap price for brass. It measures 9 1/4 inches tall(23.5 cm) Without the Eagles, it measures 8 3/4 inches tall(22.2 cm) The glass section measures 4 1/2 inches tall(11.4 cm) The bottom brass part also measures 4 1/2 inches tall(11.4 cm) The top opening is 3 1/4 inches wide(8.3 cm) Measuring from one corner of a foot to another corner of a foot it's 3 5/8 inches wide(9.3 cm) The glass is frosted and has great-looking tiny ovals all over. I don't know how this effect was created. The handles are highly detailed Eagle heads. The base has beautiful detail also. Including the 4 feet. I don't think it's bronze because it's not heavy enough. So it must be brass. But the intricate detail is wonderful. The rim around the top of ... morethe frosted glass has a very slight bend in it(please see photo) There is a slight chip when you take it apart where the brass meets the glass. But it's inside and doesn't show when you screw the little piece of brass back that connects the base with the glass(please see photo) There is also a small chip where the top of the glass meets the brass. Cleaning out my Mothers things. Some time ago, I came across this compote/ candy dish looking thing. I know that the metal is not magnetic and I think the prisms are plastic, but I don't know for sure. I have had it for over twenty years in my possession and I don't know how long Mom had it. It looks good in the sun and there are no cracks or chips on the glass. I do feel a slightly rough spot in one section of the inside rim but I can't see chips I just feel roughness. I am listing this item for my neighbor- she said she inherited from a friends estate many years ago and all she knows is it is old. It is marked on the bottom K. R. Society. 1881- 1931 and I have no other info and no idea what that stands for. It is ornately designed on top with leaves, fruit, floral and down the sides and base with a blown pale blue glass insert that is removable as shown. The top is quite heavy and fits nice and snugly in the lower part and I have no idea what is was used for or the significance of K. R. Society. Stands about 8 1/2" tall and widest seems about 4 1/2" On the lower part it seems like a little peapod with 6 peas- not sure if that is some type of hallmark but it is only in one place and not repeated.
