The pictures do not do this piece justice. This is a stunning crystal cut glass with gold highlights compote. This starburst pattern cut crystal glass has an amazing amount of gold on this compote bowl. The bowl has a lovely floral gilted brass center screw. Between the beautiful bowl and the glass stem is a wonderful gilted brass leaf pattern that the prisms hang from. The stem of the piece is a solid diamond shape glass. The prisms on this antique compote picks up great color. The brass ornate filigree pattern and marble base is a beautiful addition to this stunning compote. When this piece is in the light the gold just catches the eye. The antique compote measures 8" tall and the cut crystal gold highlighted bowl measures 8 1/2 across x 4 1/2" deep. Antique Large Cut Clear Glass Bird Motiff Compote---Beautiful!!!!!
I am selling a beautiful antique clear cut glass compote type of dish with lid. It is very. Very ornate in design. the design on the lid is birds. The lid and bowl look beautiful. the only item I feel really NOT see is a rough area on the bowl around the rim. The bowl is jagged and scalloped so much that I just feel the rough area, do NOT see it. the bowl has a wonderful ring when it is handled. I bought this at an estate sale from an older lady that I knew very well and she had owned this item for a very long time storing it in her curio. I do not know the maker-maybe someone out there in Ebay land can tell me. It stands with the lid on at approximately 14 inches with a diameter of 7 inches. If you have any questions, please ask. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE CUT BLOCK EAPG (?) CRYSTAL Glass COMPOTE candy dish with LID
I wish I could tell you exact information on this compote but I cannot. An antiques expert told me it is called Cut Block but there are no markings on it. It is 9" tall with the lid and 6" tall without the lid. The lid is curved to match the curves on the base of the compote and it fits into these curves perfectly. The base is scalloped. The stem of the base has a drape pattern and you can see the inside of the stem which resembles a blown bubble- but is simply the inside of the stem. My mother has this exact compote but in a 12" tall size that she has had for more than 50 years. She bought hers originally in an antique shop. this compote has no damage and very little wear on the bottom so it may have been stored in a china cabinet. The glass is very clear.

Antique Cut Flint Glass Scalloped Compote Sweet Meat Dish c 1850 - 1860
This auction is for a Fine ANTIQUE Clear Cut Flint(lead) Glass Compote circa 1850-1860. The Compote features multiple cut facets around the outside of the bowl and in the center. Bottom of the base. As was the custom of the time. This piece was made in three pieces- the bowl. The stem and the base- there are some very light internal swirl air bubbles at the join of the bowl to the stem. The Compote. Which measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long by 5 1/8 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. Is in remarkably good condition. With only two shell shaped chips to the rim- both very difficult to see due to location(outside edge of the rim) and several very small nibbles- visible with a magnifying glass. This compote is one of two which I recently acquired- both were very lovingly cared for as is evident by the minimal scratches to the base and no ... morescratches to the inside of the bowl. Antique Bohemian cut crystal floral tazza compote Moser
This lead crystal compote or tazza is 8 3/8 inches tall and 6 ¼ inches in diameter on the top. The tazza is wheel cut on the underside and gilded in a floral pattern. There are cut facets on the bottom that have been gilded. It is superb work. It is hand blown. The piece dates to the late 19 th or early 20 th century. It is unsigned but was made by Moser or another top quality maker. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs but there is a wear to the gilding on the top edge and to the strip near the bottom.

This beautiful pair of cut glass footed bowls have an itriquite pattern and lovely scalloped edges. There are no chips. Cracks or breaks in either of these. They are in very good condition. I do not know alot about glassware but these I believe were used as individual fruit or desert bowls. Also they could hold candy or nuts. This auction is for a Fine ANTIQUE American Brilliant Period Cut Crystal/ Glass Compote circa 1870-1880. The Compote features multiple cut facets around the outside of the bowl and in the center. Bottom of the base. This piece was made in three pieces- the bowl. The stem and the base- there are some very light internal swirl air bubbles at the join of the bowl to the stem. The Compote. Which measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long by 5 1/8 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. Is in remarkably good condition. With only two shell shaped chips to the rim- both very difficult to see due to location(outside edge of the rim) and several very small nibbles- visible with a magnifying glass. This Outstanding Bohemian Art Glass Compote measures about 9" in diameter and 7-3/4" tall. It does have some wear and some chips as pictured. Overall it is an outstanding piece of Bohemian Glass.The interior of the bowl is decorated with a golden colored enamel while the outside is enameled with a red colored flashing. This creates a fantastic three dimensionality to the compote When looking through the glass it almost appears that the gold enamel has a shadow. It is an exceptional find. Fine Antique French Silver & Cut Cased Glass Compote White Cut To Cranberry
Description Offered is an antique silver and glass compote which stands 6" tall and is 7" in diameter across the top. The compote features a French silver base with a stem/base which is 4 1/4" tall land is 4 3/4" across the bottom. The base has four scrolled feet and the stem has ball decorations. The bowl portion is made of cased glass-white cut to cranberry with gold decoration. The glass is lovely and the cutting is beautifully done. The rim of the bowl is scalloped to look like petals. I have not been able to find hallmarks. But the piece is guaranteed solid silver and as described. It probably dates to the 1880's and was most likely made in France. It is in very nice condition with no breaks or repairs in the silver. The glass has no chips or cracks, but the gilding is quite worn. Compote measures about 5 1/2" tall and about 6 1/8" diameter at the top. It is in excellent condition overall. There are a few chips to the underside edge of the rim. None of which is noticeable with normal viewing. The largest measures about 1/4" by 1/4" There is an enclosed bubble on the interior which has a grayish appearance, done in the making. There is some wear to gold decoration but it still looks very nice overall. There is an enclosed bubble visible on the underside of the base as well as ... morea few minor pits, all in the making.
