Measurements; This cake stand was made in 3 sizes. 8" 9" 10" in diameter. This one is the 9" size. it is 4 1/2" tall. The base is 4 1/4' wide. Condition; There are no chips or cracks. For sale is a sparkling clear beaded rim cake stand with a center well. The column is 2-mold Early American Pressed Glass; the foot and top are not pressed glass. The foot has a visible. Slightly rough pontil. The top of the cake stand is 11 1/4" across and stands 5 1/4" high. It is in excellent antique condition: No chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. I do see bubbles in the glass(a sign of being manufactured long, long ago) and there are several scratches in the glass; I cannot FEEL these, so they may literally be IN the glass. Antique EAPG Pressed Glass Dessert Stand/ Cake Plate/ Raised Compote 4” high x 8” diameter 4” diameter foot Beautiful smaller antique dessert/appetizer stand/ cake plate in molded glass. The foot has an ogee profile resolving into a fluted columnar form with a faceted capital. The underside of the top is finely textured all over to refract the light. Molded into the underside is a botanical motif of leaves and flower buds. The top surface is smooth glass. The top has a lip around the perimeter to contain the contents. The plate is in very good condition with the exception of four hairline fractures in the lip and one at the top of the foot where it meets the stem(please see photos) These fractures do not compromise the structural integrity of the piece in any way.
