ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I do not know if it is glass or crystal. It does have a beautiful"ping" to it when tapped. It measures 8" tall. Marble base is 5" in diameter. Compote is 7" in diameter& 2" tall& has several"U" shaped cutouts. Crystal/glass is 3/4" thick at the thickest part. It is very heavy. Weighing 5 lbs 9 oz. The pictures do not do this piece justice. This is a stunning crystal cut glass with gold highlights compote. This starburst pattern cut crystal glass has an amazing amount of gold on this compote bowl. The bowl has a lovely floral gilted brass center screw. Between the beautiful bowl and the glass stem is a wonderful gilted brass leaf pattern that the prisms hang from. The stem of the piece is a solid diamond shape glass. The prisms on this antique compote picks up great color. The brass ornate filigree pattern and marble base is a beautiful addition to this stunning compote. When this piece is in the light the gold just catches the eye. The antique compote measures 8" tall and the cut crystal gold highlighted bowl measures 8 1/2 across x 4 1/2" deep. I did wipe it down once but it will need a deeper cleaning. The pattern has flowers that feel etched out, the diamonds with star and waffle patterns have pressed leaf spikes going up above it and are in between the 4 flowers. There is a saw tooth rim around the top. It has a nice heavy weight to it at 5 lbs. 9 oz. without packing materials so I'll list it as USPS Parcel Post to save money on shipping. I have felt around the various edges and facets without finding any obvious chips. Solid brass base for what is apparently a compote piece. I admit I am no expert. But ion looking at other listings, this fits the description. The base is in great vintage condition- the brass has the old patina. It is setup up for 10 double crystals. But two have been lost over the years, and it only bears 8. These crystals are pretty readily available, and if you need the two, my friend who is much more into these things has many crystals which would match. The base measures 7" high. And 5" in diameter. 1970'S GORGEOUS CUT ROSE CRYSTAL BOWL COMPOTE w PRISMS& MARBLE& METAL BASE This is an offering of a lovely 1960's to 1970's era cut crystal compote that features a lovely scene of a rose that is repeated around the bowl 3 times. It also features an elaborate cut design and sawtooth style rim. It has a fantastic ring to the bowl and I believe it may be German crystal. This compote has a marble and antique gold metal base and also features 4 teardrop prisms that hang from a metal leafy style piece that is mounted right under the bowl. The stem of the compote has a faceted crystal piece with a partial label that says crystal cut but rest is unreadable. This stands about 11" for total height and the bowl is about 8 1/2" in diameter. It is in very good shape. I do feel a couple of small rough areas around the inside ... moretop area of the teeth but could not see any chips but is more like a rough inside edge to the teeth from time of manufacture. Vintage Brass & Crystal Cherub Compote with Prisms & Pair Candle Stick Holders
This beautiful vintage Cherub centerpiece is 10" tall.the fillable part of the bowl is 2 1/4" deep and has a 7" diameter. The prisms are new. Not original.but look great and are easy enough to replace with the vintage ones if you prefer. The Candle Stick Holders are 9.5" tall and have are just shy of 4" across the base. I had put bobeches on them to give them even more panache! Everything is in great condition, especially for its age! No chips or cracks to the glass. There are a couple spots of residue inside the bowl.possibly old adhesive.I'm sure it would come off.I just never cared because it wasn't noticeable: This is heavy stuff.classic vintage quality! Antique & Unique Hollywood Regency Crystal & Metal Gold Tone Compote w/Prisms
This is an unusual and unique Antique Hollywood Regency Crystal and Metal Compote with 8 Tear Drop Prisms. It is 13" tall with a cut crystal bowl that is 8" in diameter x 6" high. It is a replacement bowl from the original. However, very substantial with a 3/8th" thick crystal. The bowl has a feather like cut to it. The metal base is gold tone and stands 7" tall with a 6" square base of four"feet" There is some oxidation and wear on the base a seen in th photos. There is a bobeche of 16 leaves under the bowl which holds eight 2.5" long tear drop prisms. All in all a great piece! It is heavy and with be separated for safe shipping. Shipping includes insurance.

The candle holders stand about 6.5 inches tall and are 5.5 inches across the base of the marble. The brass on the compote looks like it has cleaner in the grooves? Not sure but please look at the photos. All the pieces have felt on the bottoms so I have no idea who made them or exactly when they were made. If I were to guess I would say they are most likely Italian or German. All in all they are a nice set to dress up your buffet or dining room table.
