ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I do not know if it is glass or crystal. It does have a beautiful"ping" to it when tapped. It measures 8" tall. Marble base is 5" in diameter. Compote is 7" in diameter& 2" tall& has several"U" shaped cutouts. Crystal/glass is 3/4" thick at the thickest part. It is very heavy. Weighing 5 lbs 9 oz. Metal pedestal has a beautiful brass finish. There are 7 teardrop prisms. Overall it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. I did wipe it down once but it will need a deeper cleaning. The pattern has flowers that feel etched out, the diamonds with star and waffle patterns have pressed leaf spikes going up above it and are in between the 4 flowers. There is a saw tooth rim around the top. It has a nice heavy weight to it at 5 lbs. 9 oz. without packing materials so I'll list it as USPS Parcel Post to save money on shipping. A wonderful centerpiece. Vintage cut glass compote with cast ornate design bottom on marble. Delicate tiered hanging crystals under the cut glass top. This compote is in good condition and so are the prisms. Some of the brass was worn of the underside of the base metal that has the hanging prisms. Stands 8" high. Featured around the side of the bowl are several etched flowers in full bloom& pairs of tiny diamond cut ovals. Small starbursts are around the edge just below the rim. Solid brass base for what is apparently a compote piece. I admit I am no expert. But ion looking at other listings, this fits the description. The base is in great vintage condition- the brass has the old patina. It is setup up for 10 double crystals. But two have been lost over the years, and it only bears 8. These crystals are pretty readily available, and if you need the two, my friend who is much more into these things has many crystals which would match. The base measures 7" high. And 5" in diameter. Cleaning out my Mothers things. Some time ago, I came across this compote/ candy dish looking thing. I know that the metal is not magnetic and I think the prisms are plastic, but I don't know for sure. I have had it for over twenty years in my possession and I don't know how long Mom had it. It looks good in the sun and there are no cracks or chips on the glass. I do feel a slightly rough spot in one section of the inside rim but I can't see chips I just feel roughness. This beautiful vintage Cherub centerpiece is 10" tall.the fillable part of the bowl is 2 1/4" deep and has a 7" diameter. The prisms are new. Not original.but look great and are easy enough to replace with the vintage ones if you prefer. The Candle Stick Holders are 9.5" tall and have are just shy of 4" across the base. I had put bobeches on them to give them even more panache! Everything is in great condition, especially for its age! No chips or cracks to the glass. The amber colored glass has a diamond pattern with a starburst in the center. The prisms are attached with brass wires and are many faceted. For your consideration a Vintage Green Glass& Metal Pedestal Compote with Green Teardrop Prisms from a Smoke Free Home. The approximately 4" base appears to be marble. The curved green glass compote is approximately 10.5" across with a nice dotted bubble pattern in the middle accented with the decorative floral design center. The green compote appears more olive in color while the 7 teardrop shaped prisms are more lime green in color. The use of the 2 different shades of green are what I think makes this a striking piece. The candle holders stand about 6.5 inches tall and are 5.5 inches across the base of the marble. The brass on the compote looks like it has cleaner in the grooves? Not sure but please look at the photos. All the pieces have felt on the bottoms so I have no idea who made them or exactly when they were made. If I were to guess I would say they are most likely Italian or German. All in all they are a nice set to dress up your buffet or dining room table. Hollywood Regency Style Crystal& Brass Candle Holders These gorgeous candlestick holders stand approx. 11 1/2" tall and 6 1/4" at their widest part. They feature a crystal dish under an acrylic center with 8 acrylic prisms that hang down 2" with a teardrop shape at the bottom. The top and bottom are of an ornately decorated brass. They are of high quality and each weighs in at about 3 lbs 8 oz. They are in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs noted. Monarch Crystal West Germany Vintage Compote With Marble & Brass Glass Prisms
Up for your consideration is this stunning vintage crystal Monarch made in West Germany compote. The compote has a beautiful star& diamond pattern with a scalloped edge. The pedestal is a brass metal material with a leaf pattern. It has glass prisms hanging from the compote with a marble base. The glass bowl measures 10 1/4" long 6 1/8" across and stands 5 1/8" tall. The compote over all stands 9 1/4" tall from base to the top edge of the crystal bowl. The crystal bowl has no chips or cracks. All the prisms are present and the brass and marble base are in wonderful condition. There is damage to the 3 of the panels that hold the prisms. Please review the last three pictures. It is a stunning elegant piece that is need of repair.
