SIZE/DIMENSIONS(all measurements approximate) Size: 9 1/2(U.S. Inner Diameter: 20mm. Overall Dimensions: 26mm* 21mm. Bezel/Gemstone: Length: 14mm. Width: 11 1/2mm. Height: 6 1/2mm. Tapered Width Band: 9mm at bezel; 8mm at sides; 5mm at back. Weight: 4.87 grams. CONDITION: Very good! Intact. Integrity unimpaired. Moderately light wear from usage. No significant porosity(surface pitting caused by contact with earth while buried) Glass gemstone has a small chip. Very fine finish, professionally conserved. DETAIL: Here's a large and intricate silver/bronze alloy ... morering of late Renaissance origin. Probably seventeenth or eighteenth century, provenance is Southern Russia, the Crimean Region. The Crimean, now part of present-day Ukraine, was home of the Tartars(and before them ancient Greek settlements during the first millennium B.C. across the Black Sea from what was at the time this ring was produced, the Ottoman Empire, modern day Turkey. The ring bears a very elaborate pattern on the sides of the band wrapping most of the way around to the back of the band. A similarly elaborate double beaded chain pattern embellishes the entire circumference of the bezel skirt. It is quite substantial, and the design of the ring and the detailed metal work evidenced in the bezel and bands is very elaborate! There is however some very light wear to the sides and back of the band. And some of the pattern has been flattened a bit by wear. However all of the original embellishments are visible and intact, just that toward the back of the band, from a little past the sides, where the very trailing end of the pattern has been worn to the point where it is just a little bit indistinct, not as sharply defined as it was when it was new. The green is Sooooo much better in person that it's not showing in my photos! I was told that it is an apothecary jar- but it does not have a lid. I'm not so sure that it ever did. Because the mouth flairs out, more like an open jar, and there's no lip etc. to indicate it may have had one. I thought it would make a fabulous vase for you, or a perfect open jar to put your balls, shells.you name it, this jar will make them shine! It's an antique blown glass piece, and the color is a lovely bright light green. It's also large, measuring 11 5/8" tall, 7" diameter at the mouth and 6" diameter at the base. It's heavy, weighing in at a solid 3 lbs. The glass is thick, and ... moreit's filled with anomolies original to the making- I'm trying to show in in my close ups, even holding it up to the sky doesn't show you very well, though. There's lots of lines(the glass is very wavy inside) bubbles and burps, even on the base. RARE Antique PAIR 1860s Oxblood CASED Art Glass Mantle Vase Gilded Gilt BRITISH This listing is for a RARE pair of antique 1860’s cased glass vases. These art glass vases have a stunning marbled Oxblood coloring that ranges from nearly black to the deepest blood red then into shades of ruby. Bright claret, and golden brown. Oxblood is cased over a white interior. There is possibly an outermost layer of clear glass, as the surface is very glossy, but I am not certain. The pictures can’t do the glass justice. In person these vases really have presence. To give you an idea of the quality. The swirling appearance of the glass is reminiscent of the Marmoriertes or“marbled” glass produced by Loetz, though these vases were crafted a good decade or two before Loetz introduced their Marmoriertes in the latter half of the 1880’s. The vases have a very ... moresimple shape: shoulder style with bulbous body that narrows at the foot and a long elegant neck. But instead of the anticipated flared or straight form. The neck has a rare inverted design; it is widest where it joins the shoulder of the vase and becomes steadily narrower in an angled taper towards the rim, creating a most distinctive silhouette. The necks of the vases are decorated with hand painted gilding in a repeating circular motif and the rims of the vases are gilded also. To create the design. The pattern was etched onto the surface of the glass and then the gilding was hand painted over this. These vases look like they were formed using a mold, which is probable considering many of larger glass companies of the 19th century used molds in their manufacturing process. Each vase stands approx. 9 ½” tall. They are 4 ½” at the widest point. They measure approx. 2 ½” in diameter at the foot and 1 3/8” across the mouth. They are unmarked(as far as I can tell) which the earlier pieces often were. Both are in excellent antique condition with NO chips. Nicks, cracks or flea bites. Being offered for your consideration is a pair of antique late 19th century. Bohemian enameled& gilt cut glass lustre vases with long hanging clear crystal prisms. Each vase stands 10" high, base diameter is 4" top diameter is 4 1/4" with the six crystal prisms around. The stems of the vases are opaque with an enamel leaf design. The base and the top of each has a white and peach enameled flower and leaf design with the stems of the plant gold gilded. All the prisms are present and with the exception of one that was glued at the neck, are exceptional. The hand cutting on these is remarkable. There are a few tiny flea bites to a few of the prisms that do not detract from this magnificent and elegant pair. These are quite impressive pieces. The color of each vase resonates with a pink hue. Fascinating to look down on these ... moreto see the different thicknesses of the rim.almost as if being there when made! One of the vases has a very minor chip that is on the surface of the top of the rim only and you can't tell from the side view. Otherwise, all wear is normal for the period they came from. VICTORIAN CRANBERRY ART GLASS SET OF VASES
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CRANBERRY ART GLASS VASE SET- CIRCA 1890- LAST LISTING OPPORTUNITY! For auction is a GORGEOUS pair of Victorian art glass in beautiful cranberry with gorgeous rigoree detail. These vases came from a North Carolina estate and had been packed away since 1984 along with other art glass treasures belonging to the collector's estate. There were notes with these vases indicating they were Victorian from 1890. Each vase is a delicious cranberry pink that starts out slightly lighter at the bottom and becomes darker towards the opening at the top. To my eye. One vase is a smidge lighter than the other but just a smidge. You may not see it. They definitely make a fabulous set so it does not deter from that. Each vase has a wrapped rigoree around the center in a clear color. The top of each vase has 8 scallops of clear glass that ... moreare stamped or etched. The bottom has 5 clear paddles or feet that also have a waffle type etching. Each footed vase measures a little above 8 inches high. The mouth opening measures 3-1/4 inches across and the base measures about 3 inches across. Overall condition is very good. One of the pontels has a little break that causes a slightly sharp section. So please be aware of that. It could be taken to a professional glass repairer to be sanded down but I would not bother. It is on the bottom and cannot be seen, it does not take away from the beauty and I wouldn't want to take a chance of damaging the vase. Also, there are a couple of black specks within the glass on one of the vases which I believe have always been there, they are not new marks but most likely were created during the manufacturing process. I am going to pack these very carefully with a lot of bubble and peanuts to ensure safe passage. I will have to insure these and although I will pack everything with extreme care. A beautiful WMF art nouveau urn shaped silver vase with its original cut glass liner. The vase stands on a circular base. The underside stamped with the series no.11671. The slim body of the vase is decorated with a large ornate shield, decorated in art nouveau style. Vertical ridges run centrally from this shield down to the base. The curved rim is heavily milled and beaded. Two curved handles rise from the side. These are pierced with pretty art nouveau stylised leafs at their top. The left hand side handle is well stamped with the manufacturers marks including their company emblem and silver plate mark. The glass liner sits snugly in the vase. It has sliced vertical decorations. A pinched neck and further decoration to the rim. Condition: The glass liner is completely intact and free from chips and cracks. The silver is clean. Bright and polished. There are surface marks relating to age and use. There is VERY SLIGHT PAINT LOSS ON GOLD TRIM LINES, but the paint on the flowers is excellent. There is a paint streak on the ruffle of one of the vases as seen in the photos but it is not a crack. No reserve auction of 4 pieces of antique Molineaux& Webb Co. opalescent glass. All marked#29780, registered July 14, 1885, Manchester, England. This would have been part of a multiple pieces set that would have included curved posy/flower trough pieces to complete the"Castle" Researching the company on the internet will show similar pieces. Anyway, the 2 straight"Troughs" measure 8-1/2" long by 1-7/8" wide& 1-3/4" tall. All these 4 pieces are pressed glass with a"brick design" The top outside ends of the 2 troughs have been polished or sanded, weather that was done at the factory, I do not know, as found. There are small chips& roughness to the top end exterior corners& one middle top end detail chip, with 2 approximately 3/4" cracks in that area, see photos 8,9, 10. The 2 ... moresquare corner Castle vases measure 3-1/4" tall& 3-1/8 wide at the base. This listing is for a thick heavy American flint glass vase from the late Middle Period- probably 1860 to 1880. It measures 7.75" tall. 7.1" across the top, and 4.25" across the base. It weighs 5 pounds(prior to packing) The base is rayed, and shows very heavy age wear. There are some nicks, and roughness to the top rim and pattern(see photos) but no large chips or problems. The vase measures 6" tall x 4 1/4" diameter at top x 3 1/4" wide at base x 4 1/2" wide at widest point. MINT condition. No nicks, cracks or repairs. Vase is heavy for its size a little over a pound. Here is a rare and stunning Art Deco Italian Murano Venetian crystal glass frame with a picture of the glamorous movie star. Barbara Stanwyck, in it. Circa 1930's. It came from a San Francisco Estate, and it is absolutely exquisite! This beautiful frame is made of Venetian twisted crystal glass with ornate gold metal corners around a gold gilt wood border. The back has an easel design and is covered with maroon velvet. The overall measurement is 12-1/2" tall, 10-1/2" wide, and 1-1/4" deep. It holds an 8" by 10" photo, and there is a picture of"Barbara Stanwyck" inside. The condition is amazingly very good- shows wear but no chips, breaks, or repairs.
