Antique/Vtg Gorgeous Diamond Pattern Leaded Glass/Crystal Brass/Marble Compote
Vintage Mid Century~ Beautiful Crystal Compote with Painted Brass Pedestal and Black Marble Base Dish has a diamond shaped pattern with a cut notched edge~ it's so clear and refracts the light so nicely! The pedestal is a antique gold tone and cream color painted brass scroll and tear drop shapes. exquisite! The paint looks like it was done purposely to be a bit distressed. The base is a solid block of black marble with a golden brown grain running through it. I am guessing(although I do not know the exact age) that this piece is from about the 1960s. One scuff in the paint that can be seen in picture# 4. On the section just underneath the bowl. Otherwise flawless. No chips, scratches or cracks at all in the glass. Vintage Antique Leaded Crystal Compote on Metal Base 10 Hanging Prisms Germany
I have for auction a German made Over 24% Leaded Glass Crystal Compote. It retains the original label and does not appear to have been used much. The crystal bowl is attached to a non magnetic metal foot that has 10 glass prism drops hanging from it. The painted metal has some flaking on the base. I do not know if this is cut or pressed glass. I do not see any obvious flaws in the glass but have not gone over it with a magnifying glass. This piece stands 10 inches tall and is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. It is heavy. This antique stunning lead crystal gilded cast base compote ashtray with ornate etched design. This wonderful elegant piece was most likely used to hold cigars. The crystal glass is leaded American Brilliant. It free of chips and cracks. It is stunning and picks up wonderful color in the light. The base is a gilded cast which is number#1045. I also see Co. N.Y. I cannot make out the letter before the CO. N.Y. After that I see Cornell all of which are embossed into the cast metal. The base has an ornate rose swirl design and does require some cleanup.
