Vintage Heywood-Wakefield Bedroom Set-4 Psc. Mid-Century Modern
Offered is a complete bedroom set of vintage Heywood Wakefield furniture. Headboard, nightstand, tall dresser, and dressing table with mirror and stool. All pieces and parts are original, all purchased in the early 1940's by the parents of the current owner. All items seem to be made of solid maple(drawer fronts seem like a full 7/8 inch thick) in a blond finish. Finish condition is variable-all top surfaces show moderate to heavy use and will likely need refinishing. Some of the pictures give you an idea of the wear and glass rings, etc. The body of the case pieces are in much better shape, which is to be expected. We have had this piece for a while and I wasnt happy with the finish. so back to the drawing board I went. after some consideration I realized we had a unique treasure in the corner of our shop begging to be used! A grand 100+ year old steamer who was beyond repair. So we ripped it down and used the parts on this old beauty of a bed and voila! Here is one of our most favorite creations yet! Early 1950’s Cherry Lillian Russell Davis Cabinet Company Bedroom Set
This beautiful solid hardwood cherry bedroom set was made by Davis Cabinet Company in Nashville. Tennessee. The individual pieces are marked with 1950 and 1951 manufacture dates. Included are two twin bed frames(one headboard, one footboard and two side rails for each bed) one tall chest with four drawers and one double dresser with seven drawers, an attached deck and standard mirror. Most of the pieces are in good condition. With the wear that you would expect from four generations of regular use. But as the pictures show, the double dresser could definitely use some TLC. It has some sagging in the center, it is missing one of its deck drawers and it could benefit from refinishing in some areas. The shining gem of this set is the standard mirror. It is actually quite rare and anything but standard! It shows very little wear in the finish ... moreand has an almost perfect mirror surface. The mirror measurements at the widest point. Including the frame, are 51” wide by 39” tall. The original attachment directions that were shipped with the furniture are included. Pieces have been in a smoke free home for the last 41 years! Condition: good Gorgeous circa 1920's-40's matched bedroom set in good condition. Set comprises full size bed. Dresser, and armoire. For the purchase price, I will also include the darker wood vanity. The vanity is in acceptable condition, also waterfall style, with mirror attached. I have enjoyed this furniture for about 15 years and it still wows guests when I show them around the house. We are moving and it's time for a change. All pieces are very clean inside with original hardware in tact. Looks like bakelite and brass. Typical of the era. Ready to grace a new home-design history at a reasonable price. Bed: full size with wood rails and metal brackets. 3 wooden cross pieces to support mattress. The bed is not currently in use and could easily be adapted to a queen mattress with extender rails. It visually sits a bit wider ... morethan a full mattress and I think it will look great on a queen. One bracket has minor damage but held securely through over ten years of my use. There is minor wear and tear on the veneer, typical of the age of the piece. This wear was difficult to photograph. The high-boy is 49 1/2 inch tall, 33 1/4 wide and 19 inches deep with lots of storage space. The bed is full size and 56 1/2 inches wide frame and 39" inch tall headboard. This set includes a vanity with a large round dressing mirror and a glass shelf for cosmetics, a vanity bench with pull-out drawer for storage, a full size bed with 2 wooden side rails-foot board-head board, a nite stand, and a tall chest of drawers. All pieces are matching and original to the set. There is no maker's name or label that we could find but it is made by a quality manufacturer similar to Haywood Wakefield.

Art Deco Waterfall Antique Five Piece Bedroom Set 1930s
Up for auction is a beautiful. Five piece, waterfall art deco bedroom set from the 1930s. It has its original varnish finish over book matched veneer and is in excellent condition for its age. The dresser has a small chip to the veneer on the right back side, the vanity has an area of dissolved varnish on the top left side(probably from a perfume spill at some point) the headboard was split and repaired along the right join arm(the piece that anchors the headboard to the frame- the repair is invisible when there is a mattress on the frame) and the footboard and siderails have numerous scratches. Overall, there is no major damage to the set and it looks great as-is. There was originally a rectangular stool that went with the vanity. But it was damaged and did not fit into the knee hole area, making it difficult to navigate around. The green ... morechair has been with the set for a long time, and is probably from the 1940s. It does fit into the knee hole area of the vanity perfectly. The dimensions of the dresser are 32" wide. 45" tall, and 18" deep. The vanity is 46" wide, 64" to the top of the mirror, and 18" deep. The bed stand or side table is 27" tall by 14" wide by 14" deep. The headboard is about 55.5" wide about 40" tall. The footboard is about 55.5" wide and 23" tall. Thanks for looking!
