Antique Farmhouse Bed Frame, White Iron
I got this iron cottage bed frame a few years ago from the original owners. It is in beautiful vintage condition and comes with all necessary slats plus a few I handmade for extra support. Stands very sturdy. And extremely easy to assemble and disassemble. Ornate early 20th century detailing at the head and foot of the bed and simple curved lines- always reminded me of something you'd see in an old French cottage, and I actually did keep it at my farmhouse for a while in Black Diamond, WA where it fit perfectly. You are bidding on a pair of antique iron bed rails. These rails have rectangular shaped. Tapered drop in end pins. The rails have had the remnants of the old finish removed, along with the corrosion. They then were primered and painted with a good quality flat white paint. They each measure 74" long overall including the pins. The drop-in pins, are ¾" long, 7/8" wide at the top. Tapering to ¾" wide at the bottom. They weigh 8 pounds each unpackaged. Shipping fees are determined by winning bidder's zip. Insurance is now basically required by ebay. And the charge is included in the shipping quote. Ebay has now determined that it would be best if they not only take 10% of our selling price, but also take 10% of our shipping fees. Antique Iron Bed Off-White Swayback
Hello Ebayers, This was used with a full size mattress for 20 years. The mattress did not fit all that well but it worked well enough. Old beds like this used a different mattress dimension. This bed also uses pins to content the rails to the headboards(See pic#6) I do not have those so I used bolts from the big box store. This caused the bed to be a little wobbly but maybe you have the right size pins or"snugger" fitting bolts. Anyway I used it for 20 years but now we must part. Width is 54" Max height is 61" Length is 74" No children were conceived in this bed during current owner's possession. Can not speak for previous owner(s)

The connecting pieces are made of Cast Iron. The decorative pieces that connect the smaller tubes are made of cast iron. The side rails have a tapered slot that holds them in place tightly. The bed is ding. Chipped, scratched, and scuffed. The frame measures outside 80 ¾ inches by 54 ½ inches. The inside frame measurement is 76 inches by 53 inches. The headboard frame is 50 inches tall. After it was no longer needed it was put in our storage barn and has been in a covered location for the past many years. I also have 2 cream eyelet dust ruffles and 2 matchin g pillow shams. I almost forgot. As it has never been a big deal!
