These beds are ready to be ... moreused. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. The head side of the rails on each bed have a missing part of the decorative designee and the other rail with one intact and one repaired(see the third photo) One of the footboards has chips on the base of the columns(see last photo) and this footboard also has some loose joints giving it some slight pay, less than typical for antique bedframes. Please see the extreme close-up photos in the gallery view at the top of the listing page to view all the details. As always. The bed is a little larger than a twin, but slightly smaller than a full size bed. Full sheets can be used on this bed. Antique Walnut Bed Custom Box Mattress Foundation Extras! Marengo, Illinois
This Beautiful Antique Walnut Bed includes a Sealy Posturpedic Royale Extra Firm Mattress with foundation. It is Extra Firm! It also includes an embroidered sheet set minus pillow cases. Padded quilt that goes over the mattress, like new) and a coverlet. This bed takes full size bed clothing. The mattress and foundation were custom made. This bed was in the guest or spare room. I can testify however that the mattress is not very comfortable and when it was made they didn't quite give it enough allowance for thick blankets. It can be a tight fit. The condition of the finish on the bed is very good. The few scratches I could find that show could be covered with Old English. It does not need to be restored. There are no missing parts and all parts are original. Repairs have been made to the inside of the bed where the rails meet the foot ... moreand head boards. I am not sure if my father made these repairs or if someone else did. He was a carpenter by trade and I live out of state so that one is a mystery. Victorian Walnut Carved Highback 3/4 bed. Overall size is 54.5" wide x 63" high x 78" long. Footboard is 54.5" wide x 37.5" high. Has one chip at the very top of crown. See last photo, only noticeable upon close inspection. Has been repaired on the end of one bedrail where it joins the headboard. Has new slats to hold mattress.
