The ... moretop crest is a carving of a mother with leaf carving all the way across, each post has Jenny Lind end, claw feet on the bottom of the posts and cupids carrying fruit and berries on the base. The carvings themselves are an art statement that would likely cost more than the entire sideboard. This is a great collectible piece of oak. The overall size is 54 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 39 inches high to the base and 86 inches high overall. The mirror glass size is 39 inches wide by 17 inches high. The mirror shows silver loss which adds charm and character. It has the original hardware. The knobs on the left-hand drawer has spacers instead of a washer, but it works. It has all the escutcheons.

This is a Jenny Lind style bed frame from 1948. It is a full size frame and mattress. This belonged to my Grandmother. And her mother before her. These Jenny Lind. Spindle style beds are twin sized. They are wooden, painted off-white. Each bed measures 80" in length and 41 1/2" in width. The first picture of an unmade bed is of the one I am selling. This shabby chic Jenny Lind twin bed from the 1920s has been painted white over the original walnut. And has small chips which give it that cottage look. It has been in our family the entire time. It consists of a headboard, footboard, and metal side rails. NO mattress or boxspring included. Jenny Lind Antique Walnut 3/4 Bed Frame - early 1900s
My parents bought me this bed in 1976 when I was a little girl. And of course it was an antique at that time. It has since been restored, enhancing its beautiful walnut color, and fits a 3/4 mattress. There are no wheels for the"feet" and it is structurally in very good condition since bought in 1976. I simply don't have room now and it's too pretty to store away. Needs a good home. Will not ship, for pick-up only. INCLUDES: Spindle headboard and footboard* Side panels* 6 of 8 original slats(as originally bought) One bed"foot" is broken in half and was bought this way in 1976. There is also a crack in rail. Antique Walnut Jenny Lind 3/4 Sz Spool Bed w/ Box Springs - Very Good Condition
This was purchased prior to 1930 by my grandmother. It is a Jenny Lind style 3/4 spool bed in solid walnut in excellent condition. I did not like the dark finish and had it stripped to the natural finish. It comes with the original metal box springs and the mattress. Full-sized sheets work well. The mattress was unfortunately damaged by water from when it was in my condo storage unit. It was a very small amount of water. But it damaged one of the short ends of the mattress. The damage looks to be possibly from rust from the frame inside that material. That said, I want to keep it wrapped in the plastic so I don't want to check further. Mattress companies can find 3/4 mattresses if this one doesn't meet your needs. I dismantled the bed a few years ago and all of the pieces(but the box springs) And the mattress, have been wrapped in ... moreplastic from the moving company since then. I do not want to remove the plastic, so I did not put the bed back together for an assembled picture. The entire bed consists of a head board and foot board 38" high by 53.5" wide by 2.5" deep; side rails 72.5" long; nine slats to place under the metal box springs. The box springs could likely be placed on the rails without the slats, but the slats add stability and my family has always used them. Finally, the mattress is included.

This is the real deal! Antique. One-family owner, original 1941 Jenny Lind style baby crib in Maple. This crib was bought new in Tennessee in 1941; possibly constructed in North Carolina. This crib was refinished in the early 1970's and has a beautiful finish. The bed was custom made in in the early 1970's. And was only used a few times- still looks in great condition. The front gate locks up with a steel swing bar. And can drop straight down along guide rods. The front gate should also be able to pivot, if desired. There are a few blemishes. I have an antique spool bed(named for its resemblance to sewing spools) a.k.a. Jenny Lind bed. Colonial Furniture The favorite tool of colonial woodworkers across America was the lathe. In England. 16th century woodworkers left hardly an inch undecorated on furniture pieces and while their American counterparts were more modest, they were still enthusiastic about the technique and turned wood became emblematic of colonial style. Although wood turning had been practiced by the Romans, it was virtually unknown in Medieval Europe and had only been newly rediscovered by those 16th century woodworkers– which explains their ardor for the new style! Spool-turned furniture in 19th century America After years of languishing in attics. Spool-turned furniture came back in fashion in about 1840 as part of the colonial revival. Only this time, it had ... morea little help from technology. Before 1820, all wood turning was done on a lathe that was operated by a foot treadle– the process was slow and arduous. The new 19th century American-invented power-driven lathe used steam power– the craftsman worked at guiding his cutting chisels. This made it much easier for the colonial look to be mass produced.
