This piece features a clever hidden pivoting ashtray with spring-loaded mechansism in the center, mounted in chrome hemispheres, the top which pivots out of sight when the ashtray is in use. Measuring approximately 27 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter, this piece is in very good condition although there is quite a bit of corrosion, mainly on the inner sides of the legs and in the ashtray itself, and some surface scratching. The two black-painted discs also have some scratches and paint wear. Still, this piece is in exceptional condition for its age and the vulnerability of the metals, and shows brilliantly. The headboard and footboard are original but I think the steel rails replaced wooded one that probably came with the original set. This set has the chest of drawers and vanity with all matching pulls with bakelight accents. Some of the bakelite edges are scuffed or chipped. For its age this set is in remarkable condition. Some chips on the edges and below normal wear and tear. The vanity has three mirrors on the back that are beveled and etched. Only a few minor blemishes. This is my great grandfathers and grandmothers bedroom set. It is from the late 20s. The dresser and vanity are in nice shape. There is a tiny bit of trim missing from the top right corner of the vanity. You can see it in the pictures. The full size bed holds a queen size mattress. As I show in my pictures. There is some water damage to the left front footboard, as you can see in the pictures, the veneer is lifting off a bit. A good wood person could repair this. There you go. This is a 1930-1940 Art Deco bedroom set that I recently acquired. It consist of the dresser and mirror(vaneer on back side of mirror is peeling- see picture& mirror glass itself just needs a cleaning) Bureau, full size head board and foot board. It does have bed side rails but the vaneer is peeled badly so I did not bother taking a photo.They fit perfectly with the head& foot boards and I assume any bedding would cover these rails or you can peel off the remaining vaneer and paint them.All of these pieces are on small casters/wheels. There are some snall nicks and also some surface blemishes from usage and age(see pictures) The dovetail jointed drawers work nicely, the units themselves are sturdy and solid. Antique full/ double size brass bed- very heavy and solid. The headboard weighs 34 lbs and the footboard weighs 33 lbs. The rounded. Outside pieces of the frame are 1 1/2" square. Dimensions: 54" wide. 81" long. I purchased this in the 1970's at a flea market in New Hampshire. I am not certain of it's age. But it has an Art Deco or Art Nouveau look. It is complete with the side rails. I have never cleaned or polished it, so it has it's original patina. Burr Walnut Single Bed No2 Item Description. I am selling a complete bedroom suite which was made by the Richter brothers at Bath Cabinet Makers. This bed along with the other one I am selling were part of that suite. But there are no markings on them. Therefore I cannot sell them as BCM beds. The bed has a high arched shaped burr walnut headboard and a low burr walnut foorboard with scalloped molding. The burr walnut just shows usual signs of wear commensurate with age. But no major scratches, dents or dings. There is a recently re-upholstered bed base specifically made for this bed. Which is almost comfortable enough to sleep on its own. A very Stylish genuine ART DECO French Iron Single bed with lovely walnut veneers and carvings.This bed has some small bits of missing veneer which is hardly noticeable and some old wormholes from long ago.The carvings are fabulous and the patina and colour to the wood is amazing. With a little TLC this bed could be restored to its former glory! Rare Antique Art Deco Waterfall Style 1930s-3 Pc Bedroom Set-Bed, Vanity & Chest
Gorgeous estate find! Waterfall style set that needs some refinishing and touching up. There are lots of nicks. Spots, wear, and chipped laminate throughout the set that needs some TLC. The footboard of the bed needs to be re-secured/attached to the posts. It has a slot end that fits into the hole on the post and might just need some wood glue. There are rollers on the bottom of the pieces that are missing but can be easily replaced. The drawers are dovetailed and the mirror to the vanity is original. This would be an amazing restoration project! As you can see from the pictures.it is beautiful as is, and the wear just adds to the character.
