Empire Burl Walnut Italian Bedroom Set 7 Pc Marble Top
This is one of two Italian sets we have from this period and this is the claw foot one and most desirable. The two single beds are already aligned to make a king or queen size bed by attaching the two singles at mid point as my Father did on these sets. Bed back is about 57 and 1/2 inches tall and foot 35 inches Tall width each 35 and 1/2 inches which makes them 71 + when put together. Highest point in set would be Armoir at about 7 feet 2 inches. The condition is very good for this time period and has the normal scuffs and wear of use and shines up like a jewel when polished regular. I would replace the older hardware with something more modern but traditional. Burl tends to cave in with age in the knot area which separates the wood. Most people do not touch this or fill it in but leave it with it's natural aging. Welcome to Beachdude. Inc. This auction features a six-piece bedroom set of“Lillian Russell” style solid American black walnut furniture made by Davis Cabinet Company of Nashville. Tennessee. There is a VERY achievable, reasonable reserve on this set(lower than anything else listed at this time) Feel free to inquire. As shown. The ORIGINAL FINISH, EXCELLENT-CONDITION set consists of a matched pair of single beds, a nightstand, highboy dresser, side-by-side chest dresser, and a matched mirror. The headboards of the beds are approximately 46” high at the highest point and(like the footboards) are 42” wide(beds include original siderails, of course) Nightstand measures just over 22” wide by about 16¼” deep, with a height of nearly 31” The highboy dresser is 38” wide and about 20” deep; height of 46” The double-wide dresser measures 60” ... moreacross, 21½” deep and about 41” high. Finally, the mirror over the double-wide dresser measures 39” high by 56” wide. The overall piece is 1½” thick” and is in flawless condition without any odd spots, fogging, breaks, chips or cracks. It’s heavy, as are all of these pieces– framed mirror is nearly 110 pounds and the double-wide dresser is about 250 pounds. To say that this furniture is well-built is the equivalent of remarking that the Empire State Building is in New York City– it’s all obvious. There is an original little booklet that comes with the furniture(please see photos) Detailing the craftsmanship. What meets the eye is that it’s an impossible“find” in new furniture; being made of heavy old black walnut from the U.S. As shown, all of the drawers feature painstaking detail in the dovetail-joined craftsmanship. 1952 Vintage walnut bedroom set – 6 pieces
Up for auction is a rare beautiful vintage walnut bedroom set from 1952. It is a light walnut with very clean lines. It has six matching pieces: Double bed with headboard. Footboard, and slats– 79” long x 56 ½” wide x 32” tall(headboard) 18 ½” footboard) Dresser with matching mirror– 40” wide x 18” deep x 32 ½” tall– not including mirror) Vanity with matching mirror and bench- 48 ¼” wide x 18” deep x 24 ½” tall– Mirror is 43” in diameter The set has been in storage for a very long time and the wood is damaged in many places. 4 Piece Burl Walnut Victorian Bedroom Set , dated 1892
This is the best Victorian Bedroom Set we have owned. We found a label on back of the mirror dated 1892. On the back of the dresser is a label showing the manufacturer. It reads: Carrollton Furniture Mfg. Co, Carrollton, KY. It has been carefully restored and refinished back to pristine condition. The mirrors were quite streaked and hazy so we installed new beveled ones. The brass handles are original, they are very unusual! The set consists of a Wardrobe, Dresser, Full Size Bed, and Washstand. The Wardrobe measures 8 ft. 6" tall, 56" wide by 21" deep. It has original interior, including Hooks, the panels backing the mirror are made of Bird's Eye Maple. We have installed new locks with keys. There two drawers at the bottom, it comes apart for easy moving. The Dresser measures 7 ft. 9" tall, 58" wide by 24" ... moredeep, it has the original Tennessee Red Marble in great condition. Note that there is not a handle on the center drawer, it has a key to unlock it.the other drawers do not have working locks. It has original rollers. The washstand measures 6 ft. 11" tall by 42" wide, 20" deep. it also has the original marble in great condition. no working locks on this piece. it is also on rollers. You are buying this beautiful. Antique Widdicomb bedroom set. It consists of four pieces. I believe the style is French Provincial and I believe the wood is walnut. All the pieces have beautiful, exquisite and intricately detailed carving done. They are all in great shape except for a few scuffs, scrapes and scratches. Before buying, I can send you detailed pictures of the wear that I could not fit into the listing. The set consists of a beautiful four drawer dresser, an amazing desk with mirror, a bed and a little stool or bench. The dresser has amazing graining. It stands 46 inches tall, 38 inches wide and 21 inches deep. The desk also has gorgeous wood and measures 51 inches long, 19 inches deep and 30 1/2 inches tall. The mirror adds 36 inches to the height of the desk. The stool or bench measures 18 inches in height, 22 inches in length ... moreand 13 inches in width. The bed comes with a footboard, headboard and two rails as well as the metal rails. The wooden rails have wear on them but they are not meant to be seen. The footboard and headboard measure 55 inches from rail to rail. I believe it's a full sized bed. The length of the rails are 80 inches. The height of the headboard is 48 inches. The condition is very good for this time period and has the normal scuffs and wear of use and shines up like a jewel when polished regular. There are natural cracks in some burl areas brawn apart over age. I would replace the older hardware with something more modern but traditional. Burl tends to cave in with age in the knot area which separates the wood. Most people do not touch this or fill it in but leave it with it's natural aging. The celluloid hardware is hard to describe very old with some cracks and what looks on one or two to be a replacement ring? Not sure. High chest(chest on chest) dresser with mirror, vanity with mirror, nightstand(end table) vanity bench and chair. The set features dovetailed drawers. Shapely forms, foliate carvings, gorgeous Wreath with confined Marquetry, French scrolled legs, highly decorated aprons and Leafy scrolled feet, elaborate curves and details. Original brass hardware. This set dates back to around the 1920's and has substantial weight. I have added many pictures so you can get the best idea of its beauty and condition and super-size all pictures for some great closeup shots. The full size bed frame features a sculptural floral motif which is present on both the low footboard ... moreas well as the lovely curved edge headboard. Some veneer is missing on the bottom of rails and the leg on footboard(interior side) has a repair which does not effect a functionality of bed and still will hold a lot of weight. The end table and dresser had been refinished and ready to be used for another 100 years. This set is full of classic stylish elegance and ready for a new home. It has dovetailed drawers and was built to last a lifetime. There are some scratches to the finish and indications of use on carvings. It is in very good structural condition with some finish flaws as shown in photos. It is a beautiful set that has been my family for years. The original warm brown finish is extremely well preserved on this superior quality furniture from France. Waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Diamond matched panels and curved sides are beautiful. Bed side rails are modern steel adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit as shown in pictures. Wood slats underneath are included. Measurements are 68" wide. 87" long, the headboard is 65" tall and the footboard is 39" high. The pair of walnut bedside tables or nightstands ... morehave shaped and rimmed marble tops.
