Antique French Bedroom Suite Painted Beach Scenes 8 pieces
Outstanding 8 piece French bedroom set a rare showpiece group In wonderful condition for age. Bed. Armoire, dresser, 2 night stands, 2 mirrors and vanity It is light green hand painted with beach scenes with people in boats. Even the sides of dresser and armoire are hand painted with scenes I think it is 1900's but could be earlier. I bought it 10 years ago and it was described as French cream and brown. I am only giving it up as I have inherited a family bedroom suite and need the room. Beautiful brass ornate pulls(all there) Glass tops are on dresser and nite stands as well as vanity all there. Dresser is 50 inches wide and has mirror 46 inches wide small thin piece of trim on front of dresser is missing but is easily replaced Armoire is 37 inches wide and 79 inches tall the original key is still with it The armoire door is not latching ... morebut would be easy to fix. I show a picture of the inside of the armoire, there is a rod inside of armoire with a small drawer. The vanity is 42 inches wide with matching ornate mirror and drawer. The 2 nightstands both have a door that opens for storage they are 22" wide. The bed head board is adorned with flowers has a small area of paint missing. Bed is 67 inches across and 58 inches tall. It would easily accommodate a 3/4 full or queen mattress. There is not a footboard or side rails it was not made for them. California Mission Hand Painted Bedroom Set
Very cute vintage California Mission style bedroom set with double bed frame-rails. Headboard and footboard, dresser-four drawer, desk as pictured, stool, night stand and detachable mirror which can be placed atop the dresser or desk. This has a stamp of Pederson's Furniture store which has been in business here in Santa Rosa, CA for over 60 years. Newspaper liner dates in the 60's, so date of manufacture may be early 60's. Top of the desk has a large ring stain that will need to be sanded out. This is very lightweight but solid wood. Solid oak exterior some plywood in drawers. There are different western motif colorful hand paintings on the headboard, dresser and mirror. Original knobs, one missing on the desk. It's a good size for a child's room. 6-piece hand painted chippendale style bedroom set early from early 1940. With ball and claw feet. full size(double) bed frame(head board and foot board) vanity, vanity bench, dresser, night stand, and chair. This bedroom set has been extremely well cared for. Glass tops on Chest of drawers and vanity are in mint condition. The night stand glass top has light clouding in the center(approx 4" circle) it disappears with a handkerchief placed under the glass. an 8" plastic doily had been under the glass. And a residue is felt, but not visible. There is some light scuffing of the trim paint on the vanity. Dresser, and night stand. There is also some light scuffing on the top curvy part of the legs. The vanity top edge shows a little wear that is consistent with it's age. This was purchased new in the summer of 1940 by my Great Grandparents ... moreand was the bedroom set from their guest bedroom in San Leandro. CA. drawers are dovetailed. Wooden knobs. Original chair upholstery material. original finish. Appearance is very reminiscent of a Disney fairy tale or storybook style. Once there was a sad lonely bedroom set. It had once been a grand masterpiece of the Montour Furniture Company. But had been left alone, mishandled and left for dead. Many people came to see. In hopes to purchase it, but quickly passed on by because it needed to much work for their busy lives to handle. Until one grand day! The VintiqueCo Crew came along and took pity on the poor rejected Suite soul. Which was bursting with stories of the grandeur days gone by! And we knew this one just couldn't go to the burn pile with the others that had fallen apart. This one needed REVIVAL! And Revived we did! With the Creative inspiration of our Lord. This one Sprang to life! All along the way Between the ormolu. The paint colors, the mistakes turned perfection and on an on! So I have to say to the person who said. God, I want something different, ... moreWhere is the one for me? Your order is up! Come and take this hansom set home! This set had some pretty bad cosmetic issues. It was missing moldings. Veneers were missing and lifting, 2 drawers were broken and need of repair, the foot board was once a corbeille but the extra legs had been removed which rendered it useless. So we fixed everything that was lifting, replaced pieces here and there. I made some primitive molds of the moldings and blended them as best as we could. Other flaws we played up as they told a story and enhanced its' vintage charm. With our Love for Steampunk as well as Victorian western styles we came up with this unique look and color palate that is fun and versatile enough to fit with a number of fine decorating styles. The dressers are heavy duty solid and the drawers glide like butter! The Highboy boast wondrous curves. 6 drawers and 2 hat cabinets. The foot board was carefully re~invented in to a stunning hanging wardrobe rack with an antique Italian mirror and vintage worn brass hooks for clothing. Headboard is a full/ Queen. Childs Vintage Painted Bedroom Set/1940s/ Heavy construction / 6 Pieces/SWEET!
I am selling a beautiful. Painted cottage style little girls bedroom set. Each piece is quite heavy, and has painted detail somewhere on it. There are 6 pieces in all: Bed with rails, vanity/desk with separate wall mirror,small bench, childs rocker with rush seat, and 2 over 2 dresser with a tri-fold mirror. The set is in good vintage condition, with one piece of wood having broken off the bottom of the dresser. Could be fixed by a clever carpenter, yet not an obvious flaw where it sits in present room. Gilded Romantic French Style Roses Italian Painted Bedroom Set Marble Tops
OMG! ~ Such fascinatingly lovely boudoir pieces designed and made in Palermo. Sicily, Italy quite some time ago but lovingly cared for throughout the years by one family ~ hand carved and painted with old gilding accentuating every scrolling decoration and bouquet, these pieces are unlike any that I have ever been so fortunate to find ~ the bed is carved in fashion of a Parisian button tufted style but is all wood with a gilded pattern which gives the illusion of an ornate lattice or perhaps a pillow- there are fabulously carved and gilded side rails and the most elegant foot board ever created with a reticulated gilded open center design upon which gorgeous flowers flow from the top and painted in such grandeur style at each side with flowers in pink, lilac, gold, blue, green ~ the bed appears to accommodate a full size mattress and possibly ... morea queen(there is a full size that comes with the set) ~ two curvy hand painted floral night stands with french feet and legs are accompanied by a small pull out drawer and gorgeous marble tops which are in heavenly hues of tans with golden veining each cut to curve and fit well within the gilded elevated top trim. The dresser is so unbelievably elegant with the same background of French Vanilla and the blue Fluted Designs which outline the corners of every bouquet arrangement- the hardware is the original heavy ornate pull pieces and all match and are accounted for- the largest piece of the wonderful Old World Marble fits perfectly on the top of this dresser and note that the drawers are large and roomy with each side having a tufted designed cabinet door which opens out for storage-these cabinet doors are the perfect match to the headboard! The Chest is equally as pretty and elegant as the other pieces in the set with two small top drawers and other 5 large drawers all lining up to show the oval ribbon and floral French design which decorates the front- the marble piece rests on the top.
