The set consists of two outlandish and heavily overcarved, oversized wall mirrors, a one-drawer night stand, a ladies vanity/writing desk, a most unusual drawer configuration on a six-drawer chest, and a lovely tall six-drawer chest, and the rarest part, the twin matching beds. All of the cabinet pieces have had the tops re-sprayed to bring out the gorgeous grains. I thought long and hard about breaking this set up, because these beds would bring premium money. They are gorgeous, with the curved footboards, bold headboards, ball and claw feet, and carvings all around the footboard, headboard, and every place. After considering the high quality of the dressers and other pieces, I decided to keep it together and sell it as a set. This twist turned and carved, sold wood set is available for the first time. I see no date on the tag, but I would guess this set is at least 90 years young. The twist turned and pinecone topped posts are absolutely gorgeous. The medium stain on the mahogany truly brings out a tremendous warm glow. The dresser and mirror are both in excellent condition. The two top drawers of the dresser have a very tightly radiused veneer that has unfortunately cracked, as I hope you can see in the photos. Not a terrible flaw, but a flaw that must be noted. The pivoting mirror is in excellent overall condition, and has wonderful claw feet with the original casters for ... moreease of mobility. The bed has room for a matteress that is 76" long x 53 1/2" wide. Look closely at the photos of the bed, as I have tried to get pictures of the veneer damage to this bed. Six piece solid mahogany bedroom set. All of the drawers are exquisitely dovetailed. The chairs have been professionally upholstered. The photos really do not properly show its beauty. The furniture has decades of use left in them. It was made in Grand Rapids. Michigan, extremely well made, and has been lovingly taken care. The pieces of course show signs that they been used but overall the set is in really great condition. The chest and the vanity have a custom made original glass on top of the mahogany wood.
