This antique bed certainly looks the part, and while it is in overall good condition, it does have a few items worth mentioning. The paint is flaking(see photos) and there is some surface rust, though this is nothing that will affect the display quality or functionality of the bed itself. At some point in its long history. The brass top bar was lost from the footboard. This again does not affect the stability of the bed. We have assembled it for show on several occasions, and all the parts fit perfectly and without the use of bolts or screws(again see photos) This, combined with the attached metal wheels, makes it easy to move around and store as well. The bed measures 79 inches long and 53 3/4 inches wide. With the actual bed frame coming out at 79 inches long, 54 1/2 inches wide, and 52 inches tall to the bed knob. Antique Walnut High Headboard Bed Beautiful Carvings and Gold Metal Castings
This is a beautiful high headboard walnut. And burl walnut bed. The dimensions are close don't kill me if I'm off a half inch here or there. It is 89 inches tall, 57 inches across on the inside of the frame, 74 inches long once again on the inside of the frame, and the foot board legs are 34 inches tall. I'm guessing it is from the 20's or 30's and is in excellent condition for it's age. There is a narrow shrinkage crack in the left hand headboard panel, other than that there are some small dents and dings in it, look at the pictures to see what you think or ask for more pictures and I will be happy to send them. The yellow metal castings are very well done a man's head with a lion's head perched on top of his. Great carvings of a pair of pears at the top of the headboard. There is a fringe across the foot ... moreboard. And there are round roller casters built into all four corners of the bed. Antique Vintage world war early 1900's/older bed all metal w/ wheels fold out.
Up for auction is an antique fold out bed. In original shape, it's been sitting in my grandmother's garage for years. I've been told it could be pre world war because of its original square nuts, other than that I really haven't researched much about it. It is a mustard color with surface rust throughout the framing, it is in pretty good shape considering it's age. The spring part of the bed is 47 inches wide and 68 inches long when it's folded out, from headboard to footboard it is 75 1/2 inches long. It is missing one wheel. It is a neat antique piece! Antique Victorian iron bed head and food board. NO RAILS NOT INCLUDED. Head board measures 63" high 54"wide and foot board measures 43" high 54" wide.
